10th Aug 2023 (8 mo. ago)5 stars doesn’t quite do my experience justice, I dealt with Beccy throughout my purchase and I can’t thank her enough. As a first time buyer, Beccy has been the most helpful person I could have wished to deal with. She answered every question I asked no matter how silly, spent hours of her time pushing for completion on my behalf when I felt like I was getting nowhere and was a genuinely nice person to deal with during the most stressful time.
14th Feb 2024 (9 weeks ago)The experience we received of trying to sell our house hasn't been good and I would not recommend this company. Their is a high turnover of staff, lots of the time the office is closed and phones are getting redirected to the head office or other branches. You tend to speak to different people all the time and there is no communication within the company. After trying to sell our property for over a year we eventually opted for another estate agent who sold our property within a week. We wish we had never gone with this estate agent it would have saved us lots of agro and feel like we wasted precious time. Unfortunately this company employs untrained staff which have to work to targets and quantity rather than quality.

Unf, the agents failed to identify the difference between the two large double bedrooms aswell as the Woodburner in the lounge area. On one occasion, the male agent left our property unlocked when he left with the potential buyers and after we returned home 2hrs.later nothing had been stolen thankfully.
27th Mar 2024 (23 days ago)Unprofessional. Cobb Amos were commissioned to assess and value our property. 5 minutes before they were supposed to arrive, we had a message that they had cancelled, due to sickness. A second appointment was also missed. We later learned that they had done the valuation in their own office and told the company who commissioned them that they would visit the property to confirm their assessment. No way.

We dealt with Sharon and Nia and they were both brilliant, they were professional and excellent with communication and made our purchase very smooth from start to finish. Cannot fault the service they provided, would highly recommend McCartneys based on our experience buying with them.

9th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)I wanted to thank Gianni Arrighi, a Property Manager at Cooke & Arkwright , for informing us of the recent parcel theft from the block and ensuring good security practices are in place so it's less likely to happen again! Also, I appreciate the level of his communication which is always good and clear. I like the switch from paper to electronic exchange as well as it makes it easier to store it and access whenever needed.

26th Dec 2023 (16 weeks ago)Id give a lower score if I could! Stay well clear! Made an offer on a property for the full asking price after viewing. Was told there were no offers on the table at the time. The agent didn’t even acknowledge the email for 3 days until after id been chasing. Then was told 2 other offers had been made after my offer! As such, increased my offer which again wasn’t acknowledged. 3 weeks later to then be told my offer was not accepted and that the seller has gone with a local person who had more of a deposit than me? Couldn’t get any more local as I currently live within 200 metres of the house in question. Also, a higher deposit than me did not matter as they still needed a mortgage…. More excuses made by Paul saying he didn’t want to start a bidding war! A friend later rang Paul and offered £75k over the asking price and was told no more offers could be made as 3 offers were already on the table. Surely whoever offers the most gets the house??? This just proved it wasn’t a fair contest. Wouldn’t tell me how much the house went for in the end or who’d bought it. Works also started on the house a day after I was told my offer hadn’t been accepted! This was surely an inside job as you cannot buy a house and get all the legalities sorted within a day! Or maybe their offer was accepted 3 weeks before they’d told me I wasn’t accepted you may ask? Don’t sell your house through this joker! There was obviously an insensitive to choose which offer was accepted rather than who offered the most!!! The man’s guilt is written over his face as he likes to hide from myself and family members on the street! If you weren’t guilty, why would you try and hide? Stay clear folks!
