As a first time solo home buyer Fox and Son's were very supportive right from the first phone call asking about property's, to viewings and the process of buying. They were able to give me update when asked and also would call when I needed info. The only reason I have not given them 5 stars is because the paperwork from my seller was incorrect around council banding and this had not been checked so was advertised wrong, the only constructive advice I could give would be please check this in the future but I also acknowledge I should've checked it too! Although we waited quite a long time to decide to proceed, Knight Frank were understanding, realistic, efficient and professional throughout. They prepared marketing materials, gave clear information about pricing, targeted appropriate clients for our property throughout a very difficult time. They had since September to sell our property, which was first listed at their own valuation. Over the months, they repeatedly advised us to reduce the price, which we did three times. We were out of contract with them from December, but still ended up stuck with them until 1st May. In that time, we had only three viewings, and we believe one of those may not have been genuine. It felt like they were just bringing anyone round to make it look as though they were doing something, including people who had not even sold their own property. They have wasted valuable time when we could have been with a company that actually cared about selling our home. We recently bought a house through Wilkie May & Tuckwood (which was not planned as we did have another house purchase lined up but for reasons outside of our control (very slow third parties…) this didn’t go through). Our chain below was ready to exchange but our purchase was nowhere near ready, so we had to make the decision to look at other properties as our chain looked as if it would fall apart if there was no progression. We found a house listed with Wilkie which my wife and I did fall in love with when we visited. We explained our situation to Thea and advised we would need to get the purchase through as quick as possible to try and keep our chain together. In record time (8 weeks) the house sale was through and we’ve now moved in and beginning to enjoy our new lives. Throughout the process, Richard, Thea, Mark and Vicky were incredibly helpful, responsive and friendly. I have no doubt in my mind that their work on this purchase is a big part of the reason why we were able to get the purchase through and save our chain in such a quick time. Even after the purchase had gone through, the team at Wilkie have still been willing to help with queries and questions we have about the local area and services. After 10 days I changed estate agents as was not happy with Nest. They have no office they only advertise on Rightmove but didn't mention this before the ad went live. They were a grand more expensive than some other estate agents. My house was badly advertised at first like a kids Wendy house. No for sale sign turned up and I was given an EPC through the estate agent which was overpriced. This was all done by Oliver who was also about to go on leave for a week.
