29th Apr 2024 (8 mo. ago)Having sold our previous property through the excellent service of another branch of Savills, we registered with the Telford branch to search for a purchase in this area. Amy Meldrum-Beechey kept us fully informed about potential properties, some of which we viewed. Whilst on this occasion we selected a property being marketed by a different agent, we experienced the same quality of service from Savills as a prospective purchaser that we did as a vendor.

22nd Nov 2024 (8 weeks ago)We had a letter through our door to say they had several interested buyers. We followed up and called the estate agents where we spoke to Alistair (director), who informed us that it was a generic letter with incorrect information and went on to tell us our property wasn’t worth the value it is on the market for. Rude and unprofessional. We would not consider recommending them. Choosing ZJ&B made the process much easier with their friendly, professional and supportive attitude. Not all went smoothly, but I was reassured and all questions were answered quickly by my agent.

It all went through within a couple of months and would probably not have happened without the skills of Annabel Fearnall and her colleagues at Barbers Rural. We made enquiries from several agencies including well-known nationally-recognised firms, but Barbers Rural was by far the best with their intimate knowledge of the locality. There was really no contest and the result of the sale is testimony to that. Also, theirs was by far the most reasonable cost. We have nothing but praise for and thanks to the firm for their professional standards and for the manner in which they prepared our house for the potential limited number of purchasers. We were always confident that Annabel was on top of the situation and was working in our best interests. We can thoroughly recommend Barbers Rural - we couldn't have done better.

24th Aug 2022 (2 years ago)Found them to be extremely arrogant, who complains about a purchasers solicitor being on holiday in the middle of the school holidays. Obviously never sold a property in the summer before. Then expects the purchaser to let the vendor to be able to enter the property after contracts and payment have been made. Typical expectation of estate agents, middle men who do nothing and treat purchasers like dirt. Can't wait for the housing market to stop and the boot is on the other foot, and estate agents have to earn a living.

We had a particularly negative experience with a different estate agent when trying to buy previously but Lisa, Sharon and Jonathan were all fantastic in every interaction we had with them. They were diligent, communicative, efficient, open and a joy to deal with. They really went above and beyond to ensure that our purchase completed successfully, and to an expedited timeframe as we needed due to our circumstances. I would not hesitate to recommend AJ Reid to anyone.
16th Oct 2024 (13 weeks ago)Right from the offset I felt at ease with Barbers. Everything about the process of selling my late Aunts property was explained to me upfront. It was quite a lengthy process due to probate and the property not being in the best of condition. There were many viewings however for most there was just too much work needed. The team never gave up and enthusiastically worked hard right through to completion after the property had been sold. On behalf of the beneficiaries I can’t thank Gail and her team enough for everything they did for us. Thank you all.

8th Nov 2024 (10 weeks ago)Outstanding Service from the Oswestry Team on Sale of Inherited Property. This was a remote sale as the vendors live in south west England. I was very impressed at the communication we had with Lucie Bromley, from initial set up of the contract to sell through the viewing and acceptance of bid process. The sales brochure showed the property in its best light whilst pointing out the age and potential improvements that may be needed.
