25th May 2023 (1 year ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!

We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.
23rd Nov 2024 (16 weeks ago)Verity Frearson are the largest estate agent in Harrogate, and in my opinion are handling too many properties simultaneously. As a result they aren't able to give each property the desired attention and exposure. They are also so busy they are very rarely available to take your call and often don't get back to you.

From my initial contact, they have relentlessly kept great communication in what is a difficult market, to find our "forever house". Tom and Edward's experience is second to none. If we are ever in the market for another house (hopefully not, as my wife has promised), I would have no hesitation in calling Savills......10/10

14th Feb 2025 (30 days ago)We have recently sold our house based in Beckwithshaw at Moor Park, challenging (at times) was an understatement. Alex Booth was consistent, professional, extremly informative, polite and always kept me updated with the impending sale, we reside overseas and at ALL times Alex kept me updated as we progressed with the sale, going over and above, carrying out non related tasks due to the property being empty and the family as eluded being overseas. Yes we selected a highly recommended agent, but its not just the company, it is the individual that is tasked for and on behalf of the company to complete the SALE. Out of 5*, without a doubt 10!

Communication, feedback, advise and professionalism were second to none and I couldn’t recommend Andrew highly enough to do him justice

From the very beginning, Maddie was not only professional and knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive and approachable. Throughout the entire process, Maddie kept me well-informed and was always available to answer any questions I had, no matter how trivial they seemed. I would highly recommend Furnell Residential to anyone looking to sell their property.
18th Mar 2024 (11 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Throughout the whole process, they have been professional, efficient, helpful and caring, something which was appreciated as we know that moving house can be daunting. They have gone over and above in terms of arranging viewings, providing additional information and ensuring that I understood the next steps. There was a personal touch with the same person keeping me updated, providing regular updates and clear information. I have moved to a lovely area and I loved the house on the first viewing. I would recommend using Silverspring. Whilst they provide the same quality of service as larger Estate Agents, including compliance with regulations, what I really appreciated was having the same person contact me throughout and always being available when I called. For me, at a time of change and uncertainty, they were reliable, supportive and professional and this helped me find the whole process much easier.
18th Nov 2024 (17 weeks ago)Tom was extremely helpful from start to finish. He was full of advice and made a very stressful experience much more easy to deal with. He has the patience of a saint as I'm sure I was the worse customer he has ever had. He helped and gave practical advised throughout as I had no idea what to do when buying a house and we were in a very difficult chain.I really don't know how I would have got on without him.
