We purchased our house through Symonds and Sampson who provided excellent professional service and advice throughout the process. They were proactive, helpful, had great knowledge of the area and understood our requirements well.
Would give a zero if I could. Rented from here the previous tenants had a full repainting taken out of their deposit work wasn't carried out. I left the house cleaner than when we got it and was charged £180 for limescale removal asked for proof work had been done surprisingly never got it. Have bought now and would never trust them after this experience and therefore would not use them in future even if I loved a house that was up with them wouldn't trust them
Handled my rental - superb professional service. Highly recommend for experienced friendly professionals.
I had arranged a viewing only to be met by the most arrangement, ignorant salesman I have ever met. He couldn't be bothered to show any interest in selling the properties. Thank god he isn't selling mine.
We were delighted with the service that we received from the Knight Frank Sherborne team. The valuation of the house was spot on and resulted in an offer within the first week of marketing. The communications between buyer, seller and solicitor was extremely quick and stress free and all in all a great service.
A professional team produced a stream of viewings resulting in a sale within 8 weeks. Fantastic people to work with and definitely knew the market locally.
What a lovely office. I popped in briefly with my partner while we were visiting family in Exmouth and within minutes we were made to feel extremely welcomed by a girl called Flo. We asked about the current Exeter market and got all the answers needed, we are slowly thinking about moving down from Worcestershire to be closer to my parents and next time we are down we will definitely come back for help in the future.

Mike Townsend acting as Arbitrator i.e. supposed to be independent. Didn't carry out a thorough conflict check. Didn't inform us when he did find out. Due to the conflict of interest eventually had to stand down. 7 emails and two letters cost £1006.20 inc VAT supposed to be paid by both sides. If he doesn't receive payment then he can refuse to stand down so the case can't carry on. Other side (his colleague's clients) haven't paid. Therefore we feel blackmailed to pay whole bill. Very Professional.....
We chose Stags of Honiton to market our house sale because we were impressed by the combination of good advice and integrity with a friendly manner that each member of staff demonstrated. When the house selling process became stressful for us because of many delays and small problems along the way, our negotiator Camilla worked very hard to find information to keep us in the picture and definitely made us feel that we had an effective and hard working ally. Happily everything worked out well in the end, not least because of the significant contribution made by Stags of Honiton. I would wholeheartedly recommend Stags to any home buyer or seller.
I would think very carefully before taking on this company whether its selling your house or working for them.
The Fee's they charge are for nothing any other agent doesn't door can't do, and certainly does not go towards the individual's that do do their very best to give that extra service.
This company has a strong sense of untrustworthy, disrespectful and unfair treatment dependant on your sex, STILL! The company are left behind due to their 'old fashioned ways'. They are in need of some modern input in the management/(overcrowded) partnership.
Extremely helpful and efficient agency. Always kept in touch throughout our purchase. Excellent
Ethical landlords, steer clear! Do not go with this agent if if your values include being a 21st century landlord! A previous tenant of theirs, I dared to rise above my station by complaining about the state the house was left in by their tradesman when I returned home from 10 days in hospital, making it extremely difficult for me to move around in a state of convalescence. No satisfaction resulted from my complaint, their agent was determinedly unapologetic and I resolved there and then to not allow myself to be treated so poorly. I was lucky enough to be in a position to buy a house and immediately did so. Shortly afterwards I spent £300+ on an end of tenancy clean, using the local cleaning firm and service OF THEIR CHOOSING! They then withheld the deposit over a dusty skirting board on the stairs (presumably left by the cleaning firm - remember - OF THEIR CHOOSING) and insisted on a further £18 of cleaning to put this right. This was a laughably obvious punishment for my daring to complain and then simply hand in notice on my tenancy without need of a reference - a last chance to wield a bit of power, made all the more immoral by the condition of the house when I moved in: it was filthy and hadn't been cleaned, which was even noted on the inventory. This didn't deter them from their extortionate behaviour. I only feel for those tenants less able than I to escape their clutches.
