9th Mar 2025 (16 days ago)We recently purchased a house through Clive Pearce, and the process went smoothly. The agents we personally met during our house hunting journey were professional, and we're satisfied with our final choice. However, one experience left a sour taste. I had put an offer on a house, but then another property listed by the same company caught my attention. I emailed to inquire about viewing it, unaware that this wasn't allowed since I had already made an offer on another property. A female agent called me, clearly annoyed, and asked why I was trying to view this property. Her tone was condescending, and she said, 'So, are you going to keep doing this?' I felt spoken down to and belittled. In hindsight, I understand that I shouldn't have inquired about viewing the second property. Nevertheless, the agent's unprofessional demeanor was unwarranted. A simple explanation would have sufficed. Unfortunately, I don't recall the agent's name, but the experience has tainted my overall impression of the company.

13th Mar 2025 (12 days ago)Paul kept in contact with all the time ,advising me on the best way to show my house , arranged a fantastic photographer who took amazing pictures , arranged a solicitor , I didn’t really have to do very much just get house ready for viewing , which made a stressful time a lot easier when you have someone who knows what they are doing and the best way for me , the seller and also my buyer to see the house at its best Would easily recommend David Ball Agencies to anyone wanting to sell is buy their house

The letting agent, Ms. Millie, is very hands on, very easy to talk to, prompt on dealing and responding with concerns, and very kind. I highly recommend Laskowski & Co.

20th Dec 2024 (14 weeks ago)The single WORST letting agents I have ever had the displeasure to come across. I moved from up country having no time to view the place and when I arrived they had rented me a completely different room. I never got the chance to view it and when I arrived the mattress was broken along with the bed and they had told me they wouldn't replace it because it's perfectly fine. So I replaced the mattress at my own cost just for the bed to do the same thing to my new mattress. Upon moving out they wouldn't agree to me leaving early even if I paid the rent in full for the month of my notice and then rang me to try to push me to move out sooner. And finally upon my leaving inspection they have proposed deductions for debris on the floor that I hoovered myself the day before I left the property. And paid for a new coat hook to be installed that was broken upon arrival The customer care team are awful I would advise ANY OTHER tenancy agents other than these. I have shared houses and rented for 10 years and have always been praised on the way in which I leave the property and have NEVER had any deductions. This letting agency hold a standard that is impossible to meet so you will almost definitely lose some or all of your deposit if anything is left out of place. Avoid avoid avoid

His agency stands out from the rest due to his highly personal service; we spoke with or saw only him so felt super confident he was fully engaged and invested in our sale at all times. His comms were also excellent, as were his problem-solving skills and professional partners. The photography was outstanding, with much thought taken in both the planning and execution. Highly recommended!
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

22nd Feb 2025 (4 weeks ago)All of the team at Pilkington Estates were friendly and knowledgeable. It was great to be able to call or text and get a prompt response, which is something we were unable to achieve with our previous agent. They were able to sell our property but we did unfortunately take a significant hit. We would have preferred to have achieved more from the sale but we’re pleased to have sold to a couple who fell in love with our home which is great to know as we have invested time, money and love into it during our decade of ownership. Thank you to the team for supporting us in our move!

Throughout the whole process, they have been professional, efficient, helpful and caring, something which was appreciated as we know that moving house can be daunting. They have gone over and above in terms of arranging viewings, providing additional information and ensuring that I understood the next steps. There was a personal touch with the same person keeping me updated, providing regular updates and clear information. I have moved to a lovely area and I loved the house on the first viewing. I would recommend using Silverspring. Whilst they provide the same quality of service as larger Estate Agents, including compliance with regulations, what I really appreciated was having the same person contact me throughout and always being available when I called. For me, at a time of change and uncertainty, they were reliable, supportive and professional and this helped me find the whole process much easier.
