LC, the most expensive agents in the area, but we certainly got what we paid for. Our house sold in record time. From start to finish all involved were extremely professional and friendly, we were kept informed of progress throughout. A hassle free sale, thank you Guy and Barry.
These guys sold my parents house and I actually had them look around and give their price and advice. My parents decided to have them sell the house because of their reputation - which is kind of mixed but suggests they sell well (hard sell) and also because of their I guess relentless self publicity (which isn't a bad thing. They spent most of the appraisal criticizing other Estate Agencies and generally being arrogant. However they priced the property at £330,000 which was pretty much in line with other valuations. Once marketing commenced it seemed to all be about getting any offer and trying to make my parents accept it. The property sold for £300,000 a couple of weeks into the marketing due to the pressure put upon my parents by the Agents. Of course my parents weren't duty bound to accept their advice but they are of course very persuasive people. I just think another Agent would have tried harder for longer to get a more realistic sale price for the property - they just wanted the house off their books!
Camel have recently acted on my behalf in the sale of a property and I found them to be excellent in all respects. The two members of staff with whom I was in contact were professional, determined and highly knowledgeable of the market in our location as well as being nice people to deal with. I have high professional standards and I am delighted to say that Camel exceeded my expectations. They secured a number of offers and then managed the process from acceptance through to completion in a very competent and effective way, keeping me fully informed throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
Just to let anybody who is thinking of renting any property in Newquay to never even think of approaching Camel Estate Agents. The uncaring way the manager treats customers is totally rude which can lead to an extremely bad experience.
We rented through KPS for just under a year. Despite the property we rented being in poor repair with outdated white goods (furnished) they fought for us at every step to get things repaired and replaced. (We had boiler, washing machine, fridge, oven heating element replaced as well as other repairs). They have been absolutely brilliant, contactable and kept us in the loop at all times. Would recommend wholeheartedly.
Worst letting company I have ever come across. I rented a new flat (Wellington House, Truro) but the sewage outlet pipe broke right beneath my flat. The smell was unbearable. This was reported several times to KPS but they told me that their staff and plumber had visited and found no problem. After 6 weeks of complaining I called Environmental Health - a senior officer visited the flat and condemned it as uninhabitable due to the foul smell (fortunately he said there was no immediate health risk). I had to move out for over 2,5 months before KPS managed to fix the problem. I asked for a deduction of 1 months rent but was told absolutely not - They had reorted it to the landlord, Jon Wood. and it was up to him to remedy the problem. I had to have all my bedding and clothing etc cleaned as the smell had permeated everything. I cancelled 1 months rent payment but the Deposit Protection Scheme(DPS) deducted this from my deposit. I then spoke to Jane Stephens from KPS who was extremely rude and aggressive. When I told her I would have to pursue this further she told me that She has dealt with this many times before and told me "if you go to court - you won't win',
NB I have since spoken to Jason Freeman, lawyer and former legal director at the Office of Fair Trading and he told me that the DPS only deal with payments due and that 'dilapidation' is outside the scope of their scheme. I am now referring it to their regulator.

When other estate agencies laugh at how terrible this company is and their reputation when you deal with others, it says a lot.
We had a lady that's basically would have been more use if she wasn't there; as at least we would of had someone else deal with us (not sure tisbwouodhave helped either though)
Repeated phone calls made to the office and our aparantly qualified letting negotiator, as we never got told any information and when we were it would be wrong.
Promised callbacks more than 6 times and never materialised.
No communication between staff so no one knows anything to help.
Incorrect information about the property from what costs there was, to basics such as how many vehicles you could have in which place, does it pay council tax, do they even have the key to the shed? Where is my lettings agent to come let us view as they are over half and hour late......
Always using "could" and "maybe", never yes and no to make answers official when enquiring about the property which means nothing is guaranteed.
The tenancy agreement is clearly a standard download from somewhere with sections that are so pathetically over the top you would not ever want to risk even entering your property, literally everything is charges me to you even if it's not your fault.
They subcontract the referencing out to RENT4SURE who repeatedidly refused to use any information given for the reference, yet did not inform us so just left it.
The absolute moron from Rent4sure rung the ACTUAL reference to tell them they couldn't get hold of THR REFERENCE as the number was invalid so wanted their email to contact them....then declined the email as wasn't valid but didn't tell the reference or me. Absolutely disgusting.
I asked for an email address from the estate agency to complain and what a surprise I didn't get it.
Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere and not with beligerant idiots who couldn't care less how they act in regards to yourself or your tenancy agreement.

Outstanding service during a very tricky move. Most notable was the support given to us even though our own house sale was with another agent. I would not hesitate to recommend the team here. Paul has shown us that estate agents with high integrity do exist.
