5th Jul 2024 (6 mo. ago)I'm writing this review as a fellow estate agent. I've recently had Rural Scene in a chain with myself and Richard was absolutely fantastic. He is extremely proactive and provided us with updates weekly so that our chain moved forward smoothly and we have just today exchanged contracts. If anyone is looking for a rural estate agent then I would highly recommend Rural Scene. As an agent myself the good ones stand out and Richard is brilliant.

Dean Speer gave me good advice about what needed to be done to make the unit more marketable and Jonathan Colquhoun liaised with the new tenants and made the whole process run smoothly. Well done M and M!

Initially with property valuation from John, who was very honest with his advice and knowledge of the area and the sales process. John was fantastic through the whole sales process, finding me a genuine buyer and keeping me informed along the way. He helped keep the chain together with both the sale and my purchase of a new home, without John we wouldn't have met the demands and time lines given to us. Would never hesitate to use Austin Hawk again, Thanks again to John and the wider team.
23rd Nov 2023 (1 year ago)Just don't go there. Individually very pleasant people, as a firm, hopeless. I engaged them with specific agreed conditions which they all seemed happy with but were totally ignored. They had a tenant in the wings but did not send me any signed hard copy tenancy agreement until the tenant had taken up occupation three weeks previously. They are expensive for poor performance and ignore instructions taking it upon themselves to follow their own devices. Keys taken away preventing cleaners access. More keys cut contra to instruction and overall totally ignored my instructions, contract conditions and expensive to boot.

Joe, Donna ,Courtney and Helen were amazing, professional and friendly throughout the entire process, even with delays caused along the chain and the stressful situation the process can be, they went above and beyond to assist, chase up solicitors, other estate agents and be available whenever we needed them. Highly recommend!

I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. 29th Jul 2024 (25 weeks ago)Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to come off the market. We had very few viewings (1 between January and July and one the previous year.) The viewings seemed to be done very professionally and the staff always seem very professional. However, not sure why so few viewings, if it is the market, wrong evaluation of our house or whether agents could have been more proactive.
2nd Jan 2025 (21 days ago)We had struggled to sell out shared ownership flat for months with Whitenights. We had sold, but the previous chain fell apart. Whitenights found a series of completely unsuitable buyers, causing us to lose the previous property that we were buying. We changed to Sarah & Georgina at Avocado, who were a breath of fresh air. Found us the right buyer- even when a sale fell through again, and went the extra mile at every single step of the way. Such as doing the vetting for Housing solutions up front, to reduce chance of people dropping out. We remain convinced that the only reason we moved is because of Sarah & Georgina's expertise & dedication
