You have to contact them several times to get a response, and then they'll send a handyman out to take a picture and never return. The only part of managing a property you can trust them with is taking the rent - they don't expect to actually have to do any work for it.

18th Sep 2024 (25 days ago)Couldn’t recommend Sam highly enough, especially as first time buyers we needed some extra guidance throughout the process and she was always more than happy to explain things to us and help in any way she could to keep the process moving forward. She not only kept us up to date on mortgage deals available for us throughout, but kept things moving with our purchase as well and helped us to assess where we were at when we got our survey back and needed to renegotiate. We also had a very bad experience with the first property we offered on (selling agents fault), which Sam went over and above to try and rectify for us!

Keeping up to date with current legislation and updating me as and when required. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Karen and Sarah have been my contacts - never let me down
5th Oct 2024 (8 days ago)Unfortunately I wasn't happy with the sales approach given by chancellors in my purchase through them. It consisted of sales bulls..t, which was intensely irritating, an inaccurate representation of the property freehold status which caused big delays, followed by oppressive, devisive communications. Not all bad of course, because the team were helpful when help was needed, to get this purchase secured.

2nd Oct 2024 (11 days ago)When we entrusted Rose and Sargent (now Howkins and Harrison) to secure a rental property in 2021, we were initially hopeful. However, this optimism quickly dissipated as we encountered a series of frustrating and negligent issues. From delayed repairs to inadequate insulation that led to exorbitant energy bills, their incompetence was evident. Despite repeated requests for assistance, their responses were sluggish. So we had to contact the landlord for help directly. To compound our problems, the humidity levels within the property were so high that we were forced to purchase our own dehumidifier for the living room. Unfortunately, even this temporary solution was ineffective during the winter months, as the combination of cold temperatures and high humidity created an uncomfortable and unhealthy environment. Ironically, their only promptness seemed to be in chasing contract renewals and rental increase. I wouldn't mind a fair increase if it wasn't costing an arm and a leg to keep the house warm and liveable. This stark contrast between their eagerness for financial gain and their indifference to tenant welfare is a clear symptom of a greedy and uncaring property management approach. Our experience with Rose and Sargent (Howkins and Harrison) has been thoroughly disappointing. We strongly advise prospective tenants to seek a more reliable and responsive estate agent.
26th Sep 2024 (17 days ago)From the minute we contacted Campbells about a property to the first viewing we were incredibly impressed with the ‘not the norm’ estate agent process. No hard sell, incredible area knowledge, excellent property knowledge and best of all incredibly friendly and helpful people. Unfortunately, for personal reasons we had to postpone our sale but will be heading back to Campbells in the future to see if they can find us another dream home. We can’t thank Jamie, Sian and Paul enough for the incredible service and highly recommended Campbells if you’re looking for property.

13th Aug 2024 (9 weeks ago)I initially chose to get 5 separate estate agents to value my late mothers home, of which Zak from HR Estates shone brightly above the others. My initial thoughts and gut instincts served me well as Zak helped us feel at ease and kept us fully informed at every level through the entire experience from day one until completion. I highly recommend this very eager to please and professional young man, he is super polite, makes no false promises, a man of his word and the total opposite of the stereotypical estate agent. His calm and friendly but totally professional approach made a difficult time so so much easier and bearable. If you read this Zak once again thank you for everything, we truly are grateful.
11th Jun 2024 (18 weeks ago)The Pilkington sales agent was very enthusiastic and confident and the outcome was that they achieved their valuation. However their positive 'leave it to us attitude', while it achieved the positive result did mean that we weren't fully aware of how the sale was being handled and they needed reminding to progress the memorandum of sale.

She single handedly made our renting experience such a positive one. There was never an issue that went unresolved. Sandra was ALWAYS on hand to answer any of my stupid questions, night or day. She’s the most personable, funny, knowledgeable and kind hearted woman I’ve ever met. Every issue raised was sorted immediately and she kept us in the loop, always. Thank you for everything you ever did for us Sandra, from the bottom of our hearts. I will forever be grateful for all of the support you gave us. You’re the best! We will miss you dearly! P.s to Sandra’s boss - she needs a promotion! X
5th Jul 2024 (14 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
