After having a truly horrible experience with an independent estate agent in Helston, we couldn't have been happier or more relieved than when we decided to call in the professionals. From the start, Ben from Jackson-Stops was able to identify where the previous agents were failing and knew exactly how to rectify the situation. He predicted that they would secure a sale within the month and that we'd be beginning the next chapter of our lives in the autumn, and that's exactly what he delivered. We recently purchased a house through Clive Pearce, and the process went smoothly. The agents we personally met during our house hunting journey were professional, and we're satisfied with our final choice. However, one experience left a sour taste. I had put an offer on a house, but then another property listed by the same company caught my attention. I emailed to inquire about viewing it, unaware that this wasn't allowed since I had already made an offer on another property. A female agent called me, clearly annoyed, and asked why I was trying to view this property. Her tone was condescending, and she said, 'So, are you going to keep doing this?' I felt spoken down to and belittled. In hindsight, I understand that I shouldn't have inquired about viewing the second property. Nevertheless, the agent's unprofessional demeanor was unwarranted. A simple explanation would have sufficed. Unfortunately, I don't recall the agent's name, but the experience has tainted my overall impression of the company.... Read more

Disclaimer: We were looking for a commercial lease and did not proceed however we were impressed with the service and communication from Thomas. We cannot report on the experience after this point. We were interested in a property in Truro and had Thomas Hewitt show us around. He arrived promptly and was respectful. He gave us clear updates each step of the way after the viewing up until the heads of terms. Unfortunately due to external circumstances we were unable to pursue the lease beyond this point, however we were impressed with such frequent updates from the agent even if it's to say when I can expect a response to the questions we asked.
