At AshdownJones, they are all very nice and professional at the highest level with a first-class service and leave their “competitors” standing. The Team is lovely, friendly and full of empathy ???? 30th Jan 2024 (11 weeks ago)Rented out a property with them and it was shoddy from start to finish. Inspections were half arsed, communication was poor, the tenant check out process was basically just left for myself to deal with. The boiler needed work and it took them two months (and several follow up emails from me) for them to say the company hadn't responded. In the end, I sorted it myself. Not sure what I paid for every month but it wasn't the full management service like I expected edit: as you can see from their reply, they don't even have any of this on record - just proves my point about how disorganised they are. I am with a different rental company now thank goodness

11th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)I would definitely recommend using the team at Matthews Benjamin Windermere for a house sale. Once you have a buyer, they work very hard to get to completion and keep you informed at all times.
18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

21st Mar 2024 (29 days ago)James you are simply the best! Our sale fell through on 2 previous occasions and we took our house off the market for a short period. We came across James quite by accident. We were very impressed with the way he worked (the way we wanted our previous agent to work but wouldn’t) and we elected to use James even though we were well out of his area. The marketing James arranged was excellent and following the open day an offer was accepted. James personally did the viewings and 2nd viewings. James was available throughout the whole process by phone and whatsapp – keeping us updated throughout and even did the handover on completion. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer more helpful friendly person to guide us through this stressful time which was completed less than 12 weeks from selling. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending James Swithenbank to anyone selling their home. Thank you James
