Daniel Strieff is an international affairs professional and Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State, with a background spanning journalism, academia and public policy. With extensive experience in writing, editing and analysis, he specialises in communicating complex political and global issues with clarity and precision.

Before joining the State Department, Daniel built a career across media and academia, including roles as a consultant in economics and country risk, a visiting lecturer at City, University of London, and a fellow at the London School of Economics. He also spent over a decade at NBC News, where he held senior editorial roles and contributed to major global news coverage, helping drive audience growth and engagement across digital platforms.

Daniel holds a PhD in International History from the London School of Economics, alongside a Master’s in the History of International Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology. His work combines deep subject expertise with a strong editorial background, enabling him to produce insightful, research-led content across international affairs and policy.
