Celebrity sales: The most popular celebrity estate agents revealed

From the glamourous world of Selling Sunset, to the heart-wrenching stories on DIY SOS, property has been one of the most popular genres on TV for decades. Having spent more time in our homes than ever before over the last few years, many of us have found comfort and solace in watching houses being built, transformed and [sold] on many of our favourite property TV shows.

One of the reasons we love our favourite property TV shows so much is in part due to their charismatic estate agents and hosts – with many of the most famous celebrity property experts being household names in houses up and down the nation.

But which celebrity [estate agents] do we love most, and which would we want to sell our own homes? We surveyed members of the public to find out!

The most popular celebrity estate agents

It was Kirsty Allsopp who topped the rankings as the estate agent who people would most like to sell their homes. Her hugely popular UK series Location, Location, Location started in the year 2000, with over 37 seasons of the show released to date. Kirsty’s partner in crime Phil Spencer ranked as the second most popular celebrity estate agent, proving just how loved the property duo are.

DIY SOS’ Nick Knowles placed as the third most popular celebrity estate agent, while George Clarke of George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces and Grand Design’s Kevin McCloud made up the rest of the five most popular property experts.

The runners up: Selling Sunset and Love Island in demand

Many agents from the ultra-glam real estate Netflix series Selling Sunset also featured in the list of most loved estate agents, with Chrishell Stause emerging as the most loved agent of the cast. Brothers and owners of the Oppenheim agency, Jason and Brett Oppenheim ranked as second and third most popular.

Those who were gripped by the latest season of Love Island will know that fourth place contestant Andrew Le Page (who partnered with Tasha Ghouri in this summer’s series) is an estate agent from Guernsey. The 27 year old just made the top ten most popular estate agents in 2022, beating Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk and fictional agent Stath from Stath Lets Flats.

Methodology

A nationwide survey was completed with Censuswide, to 2,017 UK residents aged 16 and above to find out the celebrity estate agents they would most like to sell their homes. All data accurate as of August 2022.
