Just recently sold my property through Abbey estate & lettings. The service I received was outstanding from the valuation throughout whole process until completed. Recommend using the gold package they offer for selling the property which includes energy certificate , estate agent fees and solicitor it keeps it all straight forward.

Great estate agents.
I privately rent and as soon as you call them and report a problem they are on it straight away. If you don't get a call from a contractor on the same day you will definitely get one the following day.
They are really friendly and treat you with the upmost respect.

From the first meeting with Carl I was put at ease . He was professional with a friendly reassuring manner. Selling a house can be a mine field nevertheless I felt confident at putting my faith with Abbey Lettings.
Through out the sales journey , no question was ever too much trouble for Will , however many times I called .
Abbey arranged everything for me , their gold package took all the hard choices and stress while keeping me informed all the way.
Their communication was amazing with regular updates on the sale. From start to finish Abbey Letting were helpful, considerate and a pleasure to communicate with.

The worst service. They will take referencing amount for reviewing our personal check and guaranteer then for simple reasons they will reject. Then last with simple sorry they will tell you can’t have the property. I’m reviewing this to share my personal experience that again it should not happened to anyone. This people literally care about money nothing else and worst case there refund took almost 3 weeks.

Arranged a viewing - got couple of emails and phone call on day of viewing to confirm viewing and than just 45 minutes before viewing time, they cancelled it citing someone made and offer, so not interested in other peoples who have booked viewing.

Just to quickly address your response Abbey Lettings, the issue you describe is not the main issue, however you did say you'll let me know once you find someone and tell whether or not that person will be able to cover the last month but you never did, I had to find out on my own that someone already rented it and chase you asking when they'll be moving in. However, that was only one of many issues and I've made a numerous complaints both to you and the landlord

Absolutely can not recommend Karl and his team enough.
Right from the start, we received prompt and efficient input from Karl. Karl was able to go through the whole process with us and his wealth of experience was evident throughout our dealings with him. From setting up the advertisement for the house, including pics and a video tour, to pricing and all the technicalities, we received the right advise. We were able to sell our property to the right buyer for the right price.
We used their service of allowing the agents to conduct the viewing, which worked out well as we have kids and I work on a shift pattern, so our availability is not so good. Karl was great at going through all the details at the viewing, he was early and was well prepared.
Once we found our buyer, all checks were done and we were able to progress receiving frequent updates on the sale process. Toby was very good in following up the solicitors for updates and made sure everything went smoothly with the final exchange and completion.
The team were always available and friendly and responded In a very timely manner. Never have we had such a responsive service.
All in all, a 5 star service for a very fair price and very pleasant team to work with.

Id leave 0 stars if i could, I requested a viewing for this property over a week ago, i accepted the proposed date which was for today. I work nights sometimes so upon waking around noon today, i had a voicemail asking me if i still wanted the viewing from a chap called Toby, i called back 3 times to try and get through to speak to someone, no answer so i left a voicemail and had faith that as I've booked it and their voicemail should be checked regularly that someone would be there.
Upon realising no one was going to turn up to carry out my viewing, i rang back to which Toby did answer on the second call, he informed me that he basically cancelled the viewing, no one would be there till half 3 and no one would be able to see me till half 4, as today was booked off over a week ago for work which already was an inconvenience, this was just not possible to delay my bosses even longer, regardless of it all Toby could of at least tried to sound genuine, no apology, no trying to resolve it basically just wait till half 4 or don't view it so i just put the phone down, very unprofessional, ruined my day at work for no reason and can't even be sincere enough to sound empathetic, if a house is listed by abbey lettings that i like, i will not be contacting to view and waste my time once more.

Abbey Lettings has a friendly team who offer a personalised service. They have responded quickly to all our enquiries and questions. The small number of minor issues encountered with the property have been sorted out very quickly and any work carried out has been to a high standard. The team obviously take great pride in offering well maintained properties for rent. The online referencing service that they use makes starting a tenancy with them very easy, painless and quick. I applied for one of thier flats and was unaware of a CCJ on credit file for a private car park firm which wi dealtwith straight away and the staff would not give me my money back or offer me any alternatives or guarantor options and i have always paid bills and never hadany issues with renting previously. They kept the holding fee of £109.00 regardless and the excuse was they took the property off the market for a day which is ridiculous the way they treat people. BE AWARE

My experience with this agency has been the worst ever. *I would urge Landlords to not use them** They have communicated the incorrect information about the tenancy. They don't receive emails for some reason and you have to send them multiple time, give the agency a call and tel them to check if they got it. Most of the times I have called their agent can never hear me so I you to repeat yourself multiple time. I had to keep calling them for updates rather than them updating their customer. it was the worst customer service.
