Sorry to report that this agent is extremely poor. We were unable to go ahead with renting a property in Thames Ditton as my partner's mother had a stroke. He now cares for his mother a few days a week, so our circumstances have now changed and we are no longer looking to rent a property. Sam kindly offered to reimburse our holding deposit, but after a ridiculous amount of calls, I have given up trying to redeem the money we put down. They didn't honour their offer to pay us back, the situation was beyond our control and our experience of dealing with this agency has been pretty terrible as a result.... Read more

Shocking agency. I have been waiting for over a year to be reimbursed as a result of having to vacate early due as the heating packed up at the coldest time of the year. I was only a few weeks from the end of my tenancy so they just didn't care. They never respond to any emails. Never return calls. The only time they did comment was to claim that a window latch was broken and they needed to understand the cost before they reimbursed my last two weeks tenancy. It was a complete lie about the window. Just a delaying tactic. They've ignored everything for over a year now. They had no intention of reimbursing me. Shameless organization. Beware all owners - they didn't do a single tenancy check when I was there. Tenants - I've heard numerous stories of them keeping deposits for months. Don't take the risk. Terrible experience with them. They asked us to do a big job for them. Cleaning windows, balconies etc at a huge property. We did the job promptly and professionally. After 8 months they still have not paid the bill. I am just taking them to small claim court. AVOID these people!... Read more

We consider this estate agent as unprofessional. During our tenancy we had various problems including a leaking roof which damaged our furniture. The roof didn't get fixed for weeks until we went into their office personally. There were more problems which affected our tenancy and the property due to the poor management by Aldous Craig. After our tenancy Aldous Craig sent us a wrong statement trying to charge us one additional months' rent. All our claims to return our money were left unanswered for several weeks until we sent a legal letter. We also asked for proper invoices numerous times and never received any. For the reasons listed we consider Aldous Craig as unprofessional. If you intend to let your property we advise you not to use Aldous Craig as the poor management will affect your property. If you already have a contract with Aldous Craig we advise you to double-check all figures.... Read more
