We were so impressed by the service given to our mums property. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and we had very prompt feedback from our viewings. As we live away from Birmingham we had no idea about estate agents in the Bromford area so Alex Smith was a complete unknown to us. Alex Smith helped with the purchase of my mum and dad's property and made each stage of the process easier and less stressful than it might have been. From the outset there was personable, down to earth and professional communication, from the first viewing with Amanda to subsequent viewings with David and communication with Dawn. Alex Smith & Co offer a personable service. We spoke to many estate agents and non offered as good attention to detail or better correspondence.
They are good for communication (Simple courtesies such as calling back, or emailing to inform viewings were excellent), looking at many different solutions, and also instrumental in keeping the cogs turning, or giving the right person a nudge, when things slow down.
They have successfully completed for us on more than one occasion, and must give an extra mention and thanks to David Simms for his relentless efforts on recent sales and Amanda for always keeping us up to date.

If I could review less I would. Reading through the reviews I was shocked to see such positivity, considering how horribly the staff treated us.
I spoke the A&S on multiple occasions about a property and was keen to buy as a first time buyer. The lady in question was demeaning, rude, impolite and unhelpful!
When I said I would complain about the poor treatment the lady smirked and said “go ahead, I’m the manager”.

David is a true professional and an absolutely lovely person, he helped to sell our house in less then 4 days ! He is honest and will not suggest unrealistic prices just to get his sale sign outside your house. He knows the housing market in Hodge Hill better then anyone else !

Alex Smith ~~different with the rest. ( not like some estate agents,say how good they are but once properly in their hands ~~TOTALLY RUBBISH as I experienced before) Can trust when give them the house keys .they did bring lots customers to view my house. Alex Smith were top of the class at selling my house.They have excellent knowledge of their market , they told me the house would sell quickly and it did. Frustrated!!!! There have been a few properties that I have been interested with these lot, every time I have tried to arrange a viewing by wither calling them from Zoopla or even directly and can havent been able to speak to them once get so no viewing arranged..
I dont know how an estate agent can afford not to answer the phone!!
Also If I was a seller I would be gutted if I learnt that potential buyers in a way are being turned else where due to the incompetance of the estate agent.
I seriously don't know how you are still in business.

Extremely unprofessional outfit.. Most estate agents are awful (hence why people despise them) and David Simms is helping to prolong and reinforce the stereotype. Rude, obnoxious, arrogant and a liar.
There are much better estate agents to deal with and so glad I switched to one that at least tries to be polite and professional. Avoid these wideboys!

I didn't know that we could be treated in such a foul way by a 'professional estate agents'. One of the owners, David, was horrible person to deal with. He was continuously rude and obnoxious to us. We had an offer accepted on our house, yet he refused to take it off the market until we went through the whole mortgage process, and received our money from Santander. This put so much stress on us and our money was constantly at risk when carrying out surveys. They continued to show people around the house, and carried on accepting offers, despite our offer being accepted.
David even refused to pass on our first offer to the vendor - which is illegal.
The receptionist (I think her name was Amanda) was quite rude to us and very unhelpful. It seemed they didn't want you to ask questions or try to buy any houses.
David recorded videos of himself downstairs in the kitchen of the house we were looking at, insulted us on the videos and uploaded them to his Facebook page.
We continually cried, was stressed out and hated every second of going through the purchase. I want to warn everyone to tread VERY carefully.

terrible, from agent who viewed us the property, to the people who manage selling, if you have placed your offer on a property and are awaiting for a small period of time for current property survey etc to be done, they will still allow others to view other property and sell to them, this happened to me twice!!!, all they want is to sell the property quick to anyone( before seller advertises to another company then they loose out on there fees), be it there mortgage goes through or not they will just mess you around.
my current estate agent if anyone inquires about my property its classed as sold, even tough the paperwork surveys are on going, unlike alex smith. AVOID!!
