I wouldn’t even give one star if this was possible. I rented the property at a time I was in a relationship with a person I did not fully know. In the early stages of renting the property my partner at the time became physically abusive and made threats towards myself and the property itself. I contacted the estate agents which was a very difficult thing to do at the time and I was met with zero empathy, help, advice or understanding. All they cared about was getting money and had zero consideration for a person behind that. I continued to pay the rent despite not even living at the property as it was a risk to my own safety to be anywhere near it. I understand that a business has to make money but at the expense of people, it’s disgusting.

We are very unhappy with the services, they don’t respond to emails, after filling out the application they don’t give answers and in case of refusal they also don’t inform us. Unanswered work. It is not surprising that houses remain unavailable for a long time. I don't recommend it ????

So moving in this current climate is the worst experience I have ever gone through. I thought I was never going to find anywhere to live. Alexander jacob and more specifically Tom literally saved me from a mental breakdown. From the first meeting he was hopeful he could help. Literally the first house I viewed with this estate agents has lead to a successful application. Thankyou for making what is a pretty tough time at the moment that bit easier.

From start to finish I can’t recommend Alexander jacobs estates enough! We moved from one property to another through them and they were absolutely amazing! From start to finish Tom was there with my millions of questions and kept in touch throughout the process and kept us up to date and got everything done for us quickly. Rod and Emily showed buyers around the property on behalf of the landlord but they were so kind and thoughtful to us as tennants too and made us feel at ease. The team couldn’t help us enough and they did everything they could to make our move go super smoothly. I’m so so greatful to them for making a really stressful situation so smooth and relaxed. Fantastic service end to end. Spencer was an absolute pleasure to work with from the first phone call when I rang, seeking help to sell a property we had been letting out for 15 years. Despite some setbacks and timewasting prospective buyers, Spencer secured a sale and hand held the transaction all the way through to completion. Alexander jacob have just dealt with the sale of my property. They've impressed from start to finish, from the very first meeting with Rod at the valuation to Emily personally dropping the keys off on completion. This company understands the true meaning of customer service and have handled this sale like it's there own. They have constantly and daily been a head of the curve chasing and keeping in contact with all parties (which in the current climate as not always been easy!) and they do this off there own back. Everyone I've dealt with at Alexander jacobs have been professional and polite, a special thanks to Emily who never gave up, when at times it was like banging our heads against the wall...
5 stars is really not enough for this company, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT and would definitely recommend and wouldn't use anyone else!!!

I like the way they do viewings. Everyone who has requested a viewing gets one and they then phone everyone afterwards to find out what they thought. It was only then that you were asked to put an offer forwards. So much better than arrange to view a property and find out on the way there, having travelled long distances to get there, that the viewing gets cancelled en route or just before you arrive, which has happened to me several times recently.

Rob Dobson recently took over town and country lettings retford. Recently found out after 5 years that they never put my £400 bond into a secure deposit scheme and the cirtificate i had been given was fake. They say they used the £400 bond for rent. But this is a lie and not aloud to be done anyway. As soon as Rob Dobson found out i was going to court about my bond going missing and never been protected he isued a section 21 eviction notice. Even tho they are not aloud to isue one when a tenents deposit wasn't secured. He follows no rules and does as he likes regardless of the law. Be very warey of dealing with Rob Dobson, Liz Callan, Richard Windley.
