I’ve recently just completed on a purchase with William H Brown in Retford and i absolutely will be using them again. My mortgage advisor was Tom Hill who really went above and beyond to explain everything to me, nothing ever felt like a silly question! Genuinely can not recommended the team at William H Brown enough. They we really do go the extra mile and have been absolutely fantastic in all aspects. Sarah and Robbie did most of the work on our move and they have worked so hard on our behalf. Freya and Nicola were also always happy to help with any queries and questions even whilst being terrorised by a excited toddler.
I would suggest to anyone looking at their mortgage options to at least speak with Grace, chatty, personable and very efficient.
Collectively they have made the entire process as easy as house hunting can ever be, and have great rapport and keep you bang upto date with aspects. I have recommended to freinds and family and 100% they would be my first choice every time.
As foot note recently used the servive to remortgage 5 years on and Tom is fantastic. He kept us update with great communication, personally going the extra mile to make sure that we were informed every step of the way. Great customer service, thanks Tom!

Not often i write reviews, but just want to say a massive thank you to my mortgage advisor Tom Hill, i bought a property via auction and needed to complete within eight weeks, after seven weeks i still wasn't able to get one for the amount i needed, Tom came on the scene after being recommended by others and WOW, what this guy has done was fantastic. Sat, Listened, understood. His quick response, dedicated and work effort is secondary to none, thankfully after four days we had a mortgage in place and i was able to proceed. The very worst Estate Agents that I have ever dealt in all my personal and business life.I would strongly advise anybody NOT to use this Branch. I use the Lincoln branch and they are first class but my dealings with the Retford office was disastrous and very very costly. I lost thousands of pounds because of a botched sale that they messed up over an eight month period. Do not use this office.

Never made us feel like we were any bother even when we contacted frequently they were always happy to help. Chased things for us in every aspect of our move and got back in touch with updates. Photos were also brilliant with a professional photographer, description of the house was great, etc. Of the many estate agents we met with they were the most professional and personable and we would recommend them every time.

W H Brown have been fantastic. Having both bought and sold from them , I would absolutely use them again. Their evaluation was spot on, not too high or low and their communication has been exceptional. This is why we used them to sell again. Particularly worthy of note has been the fact that whenever we rang to ask a question, all the staff knew the property and who we were and were able to answer our questions. If they couldn't at that time, they went and found the answer and rang back incredibly promptly. Delighted with the outcome and thoroughly recommend them.

Mortgage application service for second home: Grace was very professional and helpful throughout the whole process. Anybody putting their house up for sale and subsequently requiring a Mortgage, I strongly advise taking up the lifetime mortgage service. The service and package offered should actually pay for itself (reduced agency fees and ongoing/Lifetime mortgage services). The whole process was very straightforward and stress-less, during these difficult times.
Our house has also just gone on the Market: Robbie has gone above and beyond with the service and advice received. So, hoping I can update my review soon with positive news on a sale!!

It hasn’t been the easiest sale of the century mainly due to covid19 restrictions but I have to say that with all the stress and delays Robbie has always helped us along by his professionalism , his willing to help and his positive attitude which gave us confidence throughout.
I would say I would definitely use William H Brown again but I will be leaving this house in a box so unfortunately that won’t happen :)

What a team!
It was Robbie's confidence and enthusiasm for my property when he first came to view that convinced me to go with them.
This was my first experience of moving without my husband alongside, but they promised to hold my hand throughout and to deal with any paperwork/phone calls that I found daunting.
Sarah has been a star and has supported me through it all. It hasn't been the smoothest of sales but all the team have always been at the other end of the phone to listen and encourage.
Unlike many other agents, they will do their utmost to find out what's happening further along the chain, and their link with Tilly, Bailey and Irvine makes for very quick, efficient conveyancing and I felt it was well worth any extra money it cost to use them in conjunction with William H Brown. Just a shame the rest of the chain didn't use them !!

Spoke to Grace who is the mortgage advisor for this branch, she was extremely helpful to both myself and my girlfriend who were going down as first time buyers. She walked us through the entire process, did a breakdown of all the expected costs and found us a potential lender based on feedback with fees, etc. While I didn't go any further with William H Brown, I would definitely recommend this branch as a place to start looking for a mortgage and was impressed with the quality of the service they're providing. Every case is treated individually and given this young ladies undivided attention, nothing is too much trouble and everything done with a smile. Hi everyone!
I am writing this to say what an amazing mortgage advisor and support Grace Kitching has been all throughout our big step into buying our home!
We had some serious problems that we kept running into and everytime, Grace reassured us that there would be a way through.
My husband is here on a spouse visa (non EU National) and we struggled with who we could use as a mortgage provider. We had been offered Mortgages before by banks and then when getting ready to apply we we're told we couldn't have it or the deposit had to double.
We viewed the house first in September and went to Halifax... No good, They did us over there. so we thought, we'll wat a bit get a bit more deposit and then see how we go...
Luckily for us in this time the price of the house we fell in love with dropped.. IT WAS MEANT TO BE.
SO we made an appointment with Grace t see what we could do next.
I'm not joking when I say it was like talking to a friend every time we spoke. Grace gets really involved and she wants to really make the effort for you. Poor girl stayed late a lot too as both Hubs and I work silly hours on the week.
Grace is so approachable and when we got towards the end we had a mishap..... DO NOT SEARCH FOR LIFE INSURANCE ON MSM, GO COMPARE, Or any price comparison SITES AS IT TOTALLY DESTROYS YOUR CREDIT RATING!! This ruined our 5% deposit option so we had to get a gift from a friend ASAP. Lucki;y we could and everything went smoothy again.
Lots of reassurance from grace email updates, texts, phone calls, EVERYTHING!
I am so happpy with all the hard work Grace put into us and I really wish there were more people like her in this business and the world! It would be a much better place!!
I would also like to say how sorry I am it's taken so long to write this review, and for all of you reading it..
