My partner and I cannot recommend Barkers estate agent enough - Chris provided an exceptional level of service throughout.
As first time buyers the buying process can be quite daunting. However Chris at Barkers understood this, and went above and beyond to make sure the process was simple, quick, and that we were making the right decision for us.
We would not hesitate in buying/selling through Barkers in future as we know our business would be in very safe and capable hands.

Our recent sale was very stressful due to personal and economic circumstances. The house took a while to sell as a result, through no fault of their own. Barkers are the absolute best! We had sold our house under duress and had nowhere to go, but Chris, who is the most dapper agent, assured me that he would find us somewhere. He showed us various properties and when I was giving up hope, he called me out of hours with a property to see, which I thought would be too good, he said "Trust me!" and he was right! Together with his lovely daughter Georgina, we viewed the property and agreed the sale within the same day, then exchanged withing 3 weeks! We are now loving Shenley and are very thankful to them both. They are the most professional and personalised estate agents and would highly recommend them to anyone looking in their areas. My husband and I had to make the difficulty decision to downsize and move to a different area. Having registered with both local agencies in Shenley, Barkers and more importantly Georgina, demonstrated expertise and professionalism way beyond that of the other local agency. Our "wish list" and "budget" could have put the most patient of agents into a spin, but Georgina remained calm and supportive throughout the process. She was instrumental in her negotiations, managing to keep both her client ( the vendor) and us secure in the knowledge that she had our best interests at heart, and would often be available out of usual office hours to keep both parties " in the loop."
We would not hesitate to recommend Georgina and Barkers to anyone looking to buy or sell in Shenley. We cannot thank them enough for helping to navigate a very emotional move for us. The service is first class, and Georgina is just brilliant.

I initially did not market my house with Barkers; despite my gut feeling being that I should have chosen them. I foolishly went with a "national" rival whom I was very disappointed in. Thus I switched to Barkers and the difference in service was immeasurable.
Chris Newell is extremely knowledgeable and a good businessman and genuinely cares. Even when I did not initially let him take the house sale on, he still gave me advice and then when I became completely disillusioned with the other company, happily welcomed me back and marketed my home extremely well- listening to me and ensuring I was happy with the decisions.
Georgina Newell was exceptional. Professional, approachable and always willing to go the extra mile. She has a measured approach and excellent judgement. She found lots of viable buyers and when things became a little unstuck with a Land Registry issue, it was Georgina who came up with the answer! Not the highly paid solicitors who did not really know what to do!
Sell and buy your home or rent with Barkers because they are the best, family, bespoke agency in the area.

We recently sold our property in Radlett through Barkers. We tried one agent in the area. After trying others, whether it was clash of personality or lack of performance, we gave sole agency to Barkers.
When we first met Chris from Barkers, we liked him immediately. Very positive, listened to everything we said and wasn't pushy at all. It was all at our pace.
We never had to show the property even if we were in. Sometimes his delightful daughter Georgina showed prospective buyers round. Chris and Georgina are very honest and completely trustworthy.
They wont say anything just because its what we want to hear. You may feel your house is worth more, but Chris will give you a correct valuation of what your house will sell for. All agents will give different valuations, but if too high, no one will buy it! They put a lot of time and effort into selling our property. We relied on them 100% and they never let us down.
We wont be moving again in the near future, but if we did would definitely sell through them.
As far as we are concerned, they are the best Estate Agency in the area to sell your property

Filled in on line form with all my details requesting a viewing in Bushey. Had emailed confirmation of viewing and travelled for the day from Bournemouth. Property empty rang agent who said their rep left 25 minutes earlier then told appointment was cancelled this morning. I had no phone call email or text telling me and no apology fmy wasted trip ofrov

As we know, estate agents are not known for being the most transparent and honest. They come across friendly and nice but are not to be trusted. I found the girl we dealt with here - Lynsey - to be cold, unhelpful and quite arrogant. Will not be using them again.
