Apart from Mike (manager), all staff we have dealt with have been extremely unprofessional.
They were sullen, unhelpful and lie beyond belief. They only care about their pockets. All they want to do is try and take more money of buyers once a sale price is agreed.
If we were to ever put a future house on the market, I would not give Black and Golds business due to the attitudes of staff which is a shame because Mike was genuinely a nice man

Right from the outset everything ran smoothly and they delivered exactly what they said they would!
Kept upto speed with viewings and feedback, once the purchase had been agreed they we very proactive with pushing the paperwork through.

Awful service on the lettings side, reported repairs to these in October 2019, still had nothing back in January 2020, negative attitude from the one who runs the office, only gave one star as I couldn't give a zero rating, woeful just like the YouTube video, steer clear if you can

Appalling service offered by this company when trying to view a property. It firstly takes 15 calls to get through to someone and when you leave your details... no gets back to the you.

I finally managed to arrange a viewing at 2:30pm, I let the company know I'm stuck in traffic and will be 15 minutes late. The chap advised he is not sure they can wait but will call me back... as expected he did not call me back! I cannot control the traffic but basic customer service would not go a miss. I can understand not waiting 15 minutes but not calling someone who is on route is simply bad customer service.

Then refusing to take my calls is quite simply a disgrace. Not the greatest experience, I hope landlords take note... they will NOT go the extra mile for you.

I see this company have no worries in advertising the recently to be constructed and completed retirement flats in Shirley called Solihull Village where usually with this type of property, values fall massively, punitively and immediately after taking ownership and any buyers being exposed to upto £600 per month service charges. Many retirement flats suffer with hidden charges such as 1% of the sale price to be paid upon re-sale for each year of ownership.

Worth going with them over the *mess* that is Purple Bricks! Had a very good experience with them during a chain. They chased updates and remained professional and on the ball throughout. Top quality. Can't thank them enough for selling our house to enable a dream move!
