I cant say enough about how good Jade was throughout our entire house purchase. We initially did not plan to go with a mortgage broker, but we are incredibly glad we did. Really impressed with Bridgfords in Chorlton, specifically Meeah Johnson. I popped in on a whim after seeing a sign outside a property and Meeah straightaway went out of her way to get me sorted and fit me in for a viewing that same day. She clearly cared about trying to support me in my pursuit to buy a property, through the questions she asked and the service she provided. When viewing the property she was able to provide significant amounts of helpful information and made a note of any questions to ask the vendor, which she quickly got answered and sent back to me. I did not end up purchasing a property with Bridgfords but would highly recommend them after the service Meeah provided me.

We had a property fall through with Bridgfords, it was managed terribly as we got a call from Brigfords asking why things were taking so long and why we weren’t putting more pressure on the sellers - it turned out they’d called because the sellers had contacted her already to say they were pulling out because they wouldn’t be able to secure an onward purchase in time for their kid’s school.
The fact we could have known the seller had pulled out two weeks earlier was pretty devastating and I’m not sure what their plan was for us to reignite the deal without knowing it had fallen through, but instead we had to wait two weeks later when their solicitor replied confused to ours on a chaser that they had pulled out and had informed Brigfords so long ago.
Brigfords were pretty brazen when we called to ask about this and tried to sell us an auction property that was much lower quality.

I had been trying to find a property to rent since last year and found one with Bridgfords last November it was our dream home and perfect went to view a lovely guy called Jamie Tilston showed us around and we fell in love Jamie made us feel so welcome and went through everything perfectly but unfortunately after wanting to put a bid in the owner decided to sell we were back to square one I searched around for months until I got a call from Bridgfords saying the house is back on the market this was in beginning of March this year and Jamie and trudy thought of me and rang me straight away and asked was I still interested the house was meant for us and we said yes Jamie went through everything from start to finish and handed our keys over and can’t thank him enough and the team and Bridgfords hats off to Jamie also trudie who have been there from the start fantastic customer service and I wish Jamie a happy and bright future all the best and once again thank you so much

My second time dealing with Bridgefords and I have to say that I am absolutely over the moon with the service second time round.
Trudy, Jamie and Ellie are an absolute credit to Bridgefords as they explained everything step-by-step nothing was too much trouble. They kept me well informed with all the viewings and did all diligence correctly.
They always replied to my phone calls within 30 minutes. Furthermore, when I popped into the office unannounced, no always more than welcome to help.
I will be using Bridgefords again for future property, purchases and rentals, and I would also recommend them to my family and friends.
I would strongly recommend to anybody that's looking to rent or sell a property to pop in and see the team. As they will be more than obliged to help you from start to finish.

I have used Bridgfords Chorlton Lettings for many years as a landlord. They have recently handled a new tenancy agreement for me (Feb 2024).
All my dealings with Jamie Tilston and Trudie Boateng were first class. Both are very professional and their communications with me were excellent. They managed a large number of viewings in a short period of time. Some minor repairs and decorating were scheduled without any issues.

They put a lot of pressure on you to use their own mortgage advisor, and essentially say that they will take the property off the market if you use their advisor.
The asvisor is ridiculously expensive, and as far as I’m concerned has an interest in the estate agent side, so cannot give you independent advice on the purchase (he was literally offering to show me other properties being sold by Bridgfords).
I’ve seen articles about estate agents pressuring buyers to pay for in house services, and I was disappointed that Bridgfords did this.

This has been my first experience with Bridgefords and the complete experience has been very pleasing. I was in direct connect with Ellie Walsh who was handling the letting process for me. She has been in constant connect over email and phone calls to make sure we are able to get the most accurate information and clear instructions on the next steps to get the processes completed. The whole process has been pretty simple to get through and well laid out. In a dog eat dog world of tenancy and soaring prices, this was rather a more positive and secured experience. I have just moved into a house in the Chrolton area with 2 housemates using Bridgfords. The service we received was attentive, friendly and readily available from the very start of the process. During the initial viewing, Ellie was very helpful in showing me round the house, clearly very organised and professional. Our offer was accepted and despite some issues from the separate referencing agency they used regarding communication, we were able secure the house and move in. During this process, Trudie proved to be an excellent asset to us regarding the referencing process, tenancy agreement and moving in, we cannot recommend her enough! Overall, comparing my experience with Bridgfords, Ellie and Trudie with other estate agents in the area, I would direct anyone who is looking in the Chorlton area for a property to their office.

We basically chose them because we had a gut feeling that they were nice people, and that proved to be a great decision, as they were always there for us, offering help and guidance for all kinds of things - in fact, while we sold our flat through them, John and Muneer actually ended up being more helpful than the estate agents for the purchase end! Bridgfords in Chorlton we’re exactly wanted we needed and wanted. I’d used 2 cheaper local estate agents to try and sell our house and found them to be incompetent and sloppy. Worst experience of my life from start to finish, would never ever use this company again. They use old photographs to hook tenants then have them pay for previous tenants damage and will not release you deposit. We had to live with pests and vermin and they refused to take any responsibility and even forgot to put the property on the market costing me even more money. This has being a truly horrendous experience and I am now building a case to take legal action. I have seen many other reviews of similar stories and would like you people to reach out to me to build a large case against the terrible business ethics and standards of this service. The way they don't spend the deposits they take off tenants on fixing the property and use old images is illegal and false advertisement. They incur massive exit fee's even though the properties are not legally fit for purpose and will do anything to keep your deposit and hold it over the 10 days thats allowed. I honestly feel so scammed and disheartened. Having to live in a property with infestations during lockdown with a two year old was a living hell and they did nothing we even had to pay for that. Please do not become trapped by these fraudsters.

Absolutely appalled by Kostas's 'property management' at Bridgfords. Tenants have been left with nonfunctional plumbing in breach of building regs, mould in the bedroom, poor customer service and patronising communications from Kostas. because of HIS negligence , they have not been able to have a hot shower for 4 whole months (it varies from scalding to freezing and never settles). Kostas claims the shower is 'intermittent' rather than broken, and has been lazy and slow to act to get it fixed. I wonder if he wants to come try the shower for himself !!! Will never use Bridgfords myself and would not recommend to anyone.

Extremely unhappy with the standard of work from this agency. The property manager Kostas leaves his tenants in very unsafe conditions and then passes on or ignores issues when they arise. Tenants were left with no hot water during a global pandemic and they were disregarded. Never rent from this company. I wish that there was a 0 star option as that is more suitable and fitting than 1 star.

Incredibly disappointed in the service. There was a faulty boiler upon moving in, which meant no hot water in taps to wash hands with, or to shower with in the bathroom. How can a letting agency leave their clients without hot/warm water during a pandemic? When the old boiler was replaced, it became apparent that it had a missing dispense pipe - this is against building regulations. The absence of a dispense pipe meant the flat had a chance of being flooded, which is completely unacceptable. Kostas, the property manager, has failed his tenants time and time again on a string of essential maintenance issues. Would not recommend to anybody.

Very disappointed with Kostas' idea of 'property management'. Not only did he allow a property to be moved into when it was riddled with mould and a broken, illegal boiler, he then refused to engage with the tenants' very reasonable requests for maintenance to be carried out.
This began in January 2021, in the height of the pandemic, when basic functions like handwashing facilities were especially crucial. The website states that Bridgfords operates "with [clients'] health and safety as our first priority." Perhaps Bridgfords hasn't communicated this to its property managers as clearly as they have to their prospective customers.
A broken boiler is considered an emergency maintenance issue, but Kostas allowed it to take three months for the boiler to be replaced. Even now, the issues have not been fully resolved and the tenants are unable to have a hot shower. This is a completely unacceptable standard of living, and Kostas' refusal to engage with the tenants' reasonable requests that he manage the property (as per his job title) shows a disgusting disregard for his obligations as the representative of the agency.

The tenants of this estate agency really suffer due to the negligence of some of the agents here. I have personally witnessed the incredible struggle it takes to get even a simple response from the agency, particular in the case of the property manager, Kostas. As a property manager he seems to resent doing his job, neglecting his responsibilities to both the tenants and the landlord, sending in contractors to do assessments then never following through on the actual work and allowing the property to fall into further disrepair.
I don't think any of us would be happy to live in a property where it takes over 4 months to fix a shower or a boiler confirmed to be unsafe. I think we'd all be incredibly insulted to be forced to pay hundreds of pounds in heating due to a broken thermostat. And I think we all expect - as a minimum - estate agents to follow through on the commitments to fix issues made in the Subject To Rent agreement. If they don't, it's just a failure of duty to both landlord and tenant.
Sadly, Kostas doesn't seem to want to fulfil his role and sadly it seems Bridgfords - at least this branch of it - is happy for this to continue. Mould and dangerously broken water fixtures need to be fixed, and all tenancies require a level of good faith that Kostas and Bridgford have broken time and time again.

Kostas and Bridgfords continually arrange for various contractors to visit the flat to do cheap and poor quality quick-fix repairs when it is clear that greater remedial work is needed. Kostas refuses to engage with tenants when repeatedly challenged. Not at all professional and concerned only with saving cash rather than looking after their own property properly, or taking into account their tenants wellbeing.

The past year has been stressful for everyone, but renting with this company has been a nightmare. In the midst of a pandemic not having hot water to wash our hands, having to boil the kettle to clean cutlery, receiving extortionate electricity bills due to dodgy unsafe plumbing!! No one seems to care about the living conditions of their tenants or about fair compensation for things like not being able to shower. Deeply deeply saddened and disappointed by my experience. Beware. Do not rent through them!

I do not recommend this letting agents. Property manager Kostas has been treating their tenants appallingly. There’s been a number of problems with the flat that are not only unpleasant to live with, but downright dangerous. The boiler on arrival was faulty and found to be liable to flooding the flat, and the tenants couldn’t even use hot water to do the washing up. The tenants have been unable to have a hot shower for months now - not okay at all at any time but this is a pandemic and it is more important than ever people are able to get clean. The property even has mould in the bedroom! When they bother to send someone round to address the issues, they do cheap, poor quality and insufficient repairs. Kostas frequently dismisses and ignores complaints about the flat, leaving the tenants in constant unacceptable conditions.

Tenants have been left with dodgy plumbing in breach of building regs, mould in the bedroom, poor customer service and patronising communications from Kostas. because of HIS negligence , they have not been able to have a hot shower for 4 whole months (it varies from scalding to freezing and never settles). Kostas claims the shower is 'intermittent' rather than broken, and has been lazy and slow to act to get it fixed. I wonder if he wants to come try the shower for himself !!! Will never use Bridgfords myself and would not recommend to anyone.

Bridgfords Sales and Lettings Agents have really let down tenants renting one of their properties. If you rent somewhere, at a minimum you expect basic services and standards to be maintained. Unfortunately, Bridgfords have failed on this front. The Property Manager for the rented accommodation in question, Kostas, refuses to engage with tenants, after a litany of issues such as a broken shower, mould, and a faulty boiler that was missing a dispense pipe (against building regs!) and resulted in high energy bills (thankfully now replaced). This letting agency thinks it's okay to let a property without hot water (over winter!); with a faulty boiler that incurred a massive electric bill and broke building regs; to leave the tenants with an unusable shower for 4 months and counting; and to do nothing about mould in the bedroom (reported in January, still not fixed in June!).
None of that is okay. Kostas, the property manager, refuses to accept that any of this is his responsibility - what exactly does he think his job is?? Kostas insists (without having used it) that a shower that alternates between scalding and freezing is usable. Perhaps he'd like to try it and see.
Bridgfords needs to offer serious compensation to these tenants and deal with the workplace culture and oversight systems that have allowed Kostas to show such callous disregard for his tenants for months. They need to do this now.

First experience dealing with an estate agent who was helpful, efficient and professional. Muneer is a credit to the branch - always timely with responses and transparent about the purchase. We can’t thank him enough for his hard work. Jonathan also helped in Muneer’s absence and was just as attentive with any enquiries.
I have to mention that Countrywide Conveyancing, who are recommended by Bridgfords for legal work, unfortunately don’t offer the same level of service. Although we did not use them directly ourselves, our sellers did. Consequently, this made the process more difficult than it should have been as they are not available via telephone and could take weeks to respond to enquiries. I would advise spending a little more to instruct a solicitor elsewhere.
I’d thoroughly recommend using Bridgfords if selling your property! Can’t fault their service. Thanks again.

We have just bought a house in Chorlton that was being sold by Bridgfords. We found them to be extremely helpful- and in particular Muneer Arifeen who was the very friendly member of staff we dealt with. Nothing was too much trouble for him and on many occasions he went above and beyond the call of duty, making what could have been a very stressful transaction less so. He was always available to talk to and every request was met with a solution- or a "leave it with me, I'll see what I can do". Highly recomended!

Bridgfords take a great approach to rentals - not allowing too many viewings and operating a well-managed waiting list if the property is in high demand which I think is really great approach.

Bridgford Chorlton office has been in charge of selling my property in Whalley Range. I found the office staff (Muneer, Jonathan, and Olivia) of the highest professional skill and courtesy. Tried offering on a property but sales person wouldn't submit our offer to the vendor until we'd sat down with their mortgage advisor in a week's time (by which time, the property would probably have sold). I'm not comfortable with an estate agent that insists on seeing all your financials (and therefore, whether you could afford to offer a bit higher) prior to submitting our offer.
Vendor's beware, rather than pass offers directly on to you they'll try and wrangle extra commission by selling mortgages instead.

Absolutely fantastic. I arrived in Manchester (coming form Athens) knowing little to nothing about the process and documents required, when it comes to renting an apartment.
Tom Beevers was very patient and explained to me every part of the process, he was also understanding when I had trouble paying from my Greek bank account (government capital controls) and actually helped me work out a solution. Before I knew, I entered my cozy new apartment.
Tom is an absolute professional.
If you want to rent a place and a Bridgfords estate agent shows up, you won the damn lottery.

We have recently sold two flats through Bridgfords in Chorlton. We were impressed with Mark's balance of friendly professionalism, especially in the preparation on site of the sales details and the care he took with his photography. There was a lot of interest in one flat particularly and the staff were willing to conduct numerous viewings. Muneer was pleasant and easy to deal with, very thorough at keeping us informed and always took the time to listen properly to what we had to say. On both occasions once the sale had been agreed the process to completion took many weeks longer than originally indicated, but that was outside Bridgfords' control and mostly relating to delays in the hands of buyers' solicitors and mortgage lenders. We would use Bridgfords again.

We chose Bridgfords for the sale of my grandfather's house because out of all the agents we saw, Mark was by far the most personable and approachable. They set our expectations realistically from the outset and then surpassed them.
Whilst other agents relied on over valuing the property or "mud slinging" about their competition, Bridgfords did none of this and won the business purely on customer service skills, which were above and beyond. They sold the property and were with us every step of the way, they even visited my grandfather in his new flat to see how he was getting on - that's customer service as I've never experienced it before!
