We recently started searching for a rental property and found it on our first viewing with Bridgfords. Saj, who was conducting our viewing, was wonderful. For the duration of our contact with Saj, he has been nothing but helpful, friendly and prompt. He has made, what should have been a stressful process, a really enjoyable one. We didn’t have contact with the rest of the Bridgfords Altrincham team but if Saj is any reflection, I can only imagine they are all brilliant.

FTB - moved from a different city to Manchester and the whole experience with Bridgfords Altrincham was highly positive and I'm very happy with the service provided. Tracey and Radhika provided lots of great advice, fantastic communication, and were extremely supportive during the end to end process from the very first viewing where we had the best house viewing experience with Tracey (she gave us extra time and was extremely helpful), right up until exchanging the contracts and completion which they both helped me work through discussions with the vendor regarding surveys and finer details of the sale, ironing out all hiccups. As a FTB, I asked numerous questions via phonecalls and emails (probably too much!) but they were always on hand to guide me through. Overall, this has a great process and would highly recommend Bridgfords Altrincham!

Bridgefords were really good at letting out my property with a very quick turnaround time but the service after that has been exceptionally poor: rarely anyone answers calls or responds to emails. I was charged double for the letting fee and yet with many emails and phones later this matter has not been resolved (close to a year now). I am looking to switch over to a smaller local agent but getting Bridgefords to transfer over the documentation is like getting blood out of a stone.

The level of customer service and professionalism was first class and my sales agent Nicola was always easy to get hold so any queries I had where chased and dealt with quickly.
Having dealt with other not great estate agents in the past couple of years I could really tell the difference in a sales team that take pride in their work. I was always made to feel as if my flat getting sold was a priority at crucial points in the Sales process.

Tracey (Branch Manager) was personable, friendly and engaging right from the first time she pitched to sell our house and during the long intense months prior to completion.
Clare was constantly in dialogue with all the parties (vendor, buyer and solicitors on both sides) and was instrumental in helping get the deal over the line when it almost fell through at the last minute.

The team was always personable. Nicola was regular with contact and super friendly.
We were always able to speak to someone from the office- where Nicola was on a call, Claire and Tracy in particular were a great help too.
Buying a house is a stressful even at the best of times but we were supported throughout by the team at Bridgefords.

I was in a desperate rush to sell as my dream onward move wouldn’t consider my offer before I’d sold. Tracey went out of her way to get me on the market, even doing the photos herself to save time waiting for a photographer. She suggested a higher sale price for my property compared to other quotes, and I received an offer very close to the asking price. A tip for everyone - choose someone local who is not part of a big chain - save your time, and potentially your money.
From my personal experience.
Never join a big company! As they don't have that drive to sell your property and are prepared with a pack of lies enticing you to join them.
I wish I had gone to use someone else who is local and has excellent reviews.
Small local business do they best to insure they are happy and you are happy and always give their 100%
I am so frustrated that I had joined this company and that had wasted my time... Now this whole coronavirus situation is not going to help my house value. Thank you for wasting my time and ultimately costing me money.
Note: 18th January 2020 is when we first made contact. Their online advertisement of our property was full of errors which took them a long long time. Communication was also bad in relation to potential viewers, We were also constantly chasing for updates.

Where do i begin , from the moment Ciara picked up the phone i knew Bridgfords were for me , with the other local agents i felt like a number all they were interested in were selling me their mortgage brokers services took my name and address down then booked me an appointment for their valuer to come out and meet me, when dealing with Ciara she showed a keen interest about the house asking lots of questions of what i thought would be a 2 minute phone call became a 25 minute phone call which didn't bother me , to me they were showing an interest , when Ciara arrived she was very thorough informative about the local market and i was pleased with her pricing and strategy , my wife was worried about not finding anywhere however Ciara eased her mind and promised to guide us through every step of the way , we had an open day and to our astonishment Bridgfords sold out house for £12,500 above asking price , we have now found somewhere to purchase which is great but rarely will you find an agent who is so keen and enthusiastic , Ciara you are a credit to the company my wife and i cant thank you enough, you delivered on all accounts i cant recommend you and your team enough .

I have recently had the displeasure of selling a house through Bridgfords Altrincham, specifically dealing with the branch sales manager.
In all my years I have never experienced such incompetence, dishonesty, corner-cutting and lack of professionalism from an estate agent. The sheer ineptitude I have had to deal with has cost me additional thousands on what should have been a very simple sale. I would go into detail, but I have had no option but to take my dealings to the Property Ombudsman and don't want to put my case at risk.
Whatever you do, go to another agent, there are plenty of reputable alternatives in the area.
edit: I've upgraded to a 2* review as all the other staff in the office we're quick to pick up the mess left by Kathy. I wouldn't want them to be tarred with the same brush.

Would prefer to give 0 stars. We chose Bridgfords a year ago. Their customer communication was horrendous. No feedback ever and if we did ask for some, it was always negative and unhelpful. We kept with them hoping for the best, however they never improved. Emails went unanswered as did calls. We very nearly gave up hope until another nearby estate agent contacted us, the best move we ever made. We received two positive offers on their first day of viewings. To top it all... Weeks after we had sold with the new estate agent. Bridgfords Altrincham had the audacity to put our house BACK on Rightmove... Why, we will never know. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! It really isn't worth the stress...

Absolute waste of space.
I spent hours calling the office at the beginning of the week to arrange a viewing. After a lengthy discussion I finally arranged a viewing for this morning for myself, my partner and 2 children.
We sat across the road from the property for 10 minutes in the pouring rain before calling to find out where the estate agent was. They had no idea and suggested they were probably stuck in traffic (there was no traffic) after 25 minutes we called again and were told that the agent had cancelled the viewing (they had made no attempt to contact me despite having email and phone contact details that they took from me after making me register with them to view).
On asking to speak to the manager we were then told that the missing estate agent is the manager.
I have still received no contact from them to explain what happened

Tom at the Altrincham Branch has been nothing short of amazing during my search for a property. He has gone out of his way to arrange viewings for me outside of office hours and outside of open houses I have been unable to attend, he has worked late to show me properties and I feel he is incredibly sincere in wanting to help me with my property search. I haven't found the right property yet but Tom has stood out against the droves of other Estate Agents I have had to deal with in recent weeks. I know from experience that Estate Agency can be a thankless job so I want to ensure Tom received the praise he deserves. A breath of fresh air!
