Bridgfords overprice houses to get them on their books. The number of their properties that have to get reduced in value due to this is very common. They mislead the sellers into thinking their property is worth more than what it is. They never take into consideration any work/structural work that needs doing which subsequently would devalue the property.
If you're with Bridgfords and not had many viewings, I suggest you change estate agents and you'll have much more of a chance!

Lucy Dagless was the outstanding Negotiator I spoke to when I called in on for an enquiry for the property I just happily rented and my experience with her has being quite extraordinary. Right from when I spoke with her on the phone to our moving in, she is quite polite, very attentive, soft spoken, kind, compassionate, very reasonable, very dedicated to her job, amazingly proactive, very effective and efficient. I explained mine and my family's situation to her and she was very attentive and understanding and she included me to the viewing I wasn't part of, that was an act of kindness I haven't seen in any letting agent since mine and my family's arrival in the UK from Istanbul, Turkey. Meeting her in person blew us away, how she tackled issue softly and politely and she was on top of all issues that needed to be attended to in the house even before you mentioned it and she made herself available and can be reached to help profound solution to any issue that may arise. I can't help but sing her praises! She is such an amazing person and quite beautiful as well ????. Beautiful body and soul. I'm giving her above 5 stars. She is a person anyone should look forward to working with. I actually call her my angel, because she is one!

Booked a viewing with them for a house fresh on the market. Earliest they could do was a week after.
No email confirmation.
Call multiple times to no answer - taking time out of my work to do so. Call on the
day to double check. "Oh sorry, we was going to call you to cancel, that's now sold"
No communication to let me know there's been an offer, which I would have took time off work to get in to view if needed as the house was perfect for us. And, we had already discussed if we liked it we'd offer over a fair bit over asking price.
It's hard enough to find a house these days, it's harder still when estate agents can't even be be bothered to help you get one. Do better.

Really annoyed at some of the staff in Bridgfords. I rang them and spoke to a lady called Charlotte asking for my tenancy agreement, we had a conversation that was private and would have appreciated it staying private. The next day i received an email from my landlord asking for the date we are moving out as Bridgefords( Lisa the lettings manager) had informed her we are ' moving out' when that isn't our intentions. What I thought was a private phone call has now been relayed back to our landlord and its really upset me.
In the future when we do decide to move out we will let our landlord know and that information will come from us not Bridgefords. Very poor customer care from this company. I hope you never have to use Bridgefords again.

Jonathan came out for the initial valuation- went through everything clearly & asked questions that other agents didn’t (e.g about electrical re wire). We explained our situation & asked for some time & this was the only company who respected our wishes & allowed us to do what we needed before making our decision. Within a week of the house going on the market we had 10 viewings which resulted in 4 offers above asking price. The team kept us updated, managed the viewings & the house was sold within 3 months. I would like to say that the team at Bridgfords Swinton have been excellent in guiding us through the sale of my Father-in-laws property after he passed away.Jonathon and Mike were sympathetic to our circumstances and took us through every step of the sale from initial valuation to completion.The house was sold within 24 hours of going on the market in April and we completed at the end of July.They say selling or buying a property is one of the most stressful things in life but we never felt stressed at all.They answered any query we had and were always available when we needed them.

Charlotte at Bridgfords Swinton was unbelievably rude and unpleasant in her dealings with the situation from a friend who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, her tenancy was ended early due to this but Charlotte has been non stop with the phone calls since this, in attempting to regain the keys to the property immediately despite being told that my friend is currently being cared for and is not able to physically provide the keys at this moment in time.
Charlotte also made it abruptly clear that viewings were now, as a result, cancelled because of my friend and the situation, and to suggest that the current situation with my friend was "besides the point" and proceeded to request confirmation of which Christies she was at. No empathy or understanding at all from Charlotte! Clearly chasing ££££ and viewings is all that matters. Absolute joke!

Bridgfords Swinton have been horrendous in dealing with my terminally ill sister. My sister ended her tenancy early due to the fact she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Gastric Cancer. My sister was then admitted to Christies hospital and Charlotte at Bridgfords Swinton insisted my sister drop off the keys in Swinton.
Charlotte has been disgusting and morally vile when dealing with this situation. I would NOT trust Charlotte as she is a vile human being with no decency.

Although I spoke to Mike and Jonathan occasionally I I dealt mostly with Paige Dunn for the sale of my house. Paige was very positive and encouraging when my first 2 buyers dropped out and she was right when she reassured me that it would sell. The team are all professional and courteous and I would recommend them. Paige was so helpful, my property was empty and I had moved a fair distance away so she regularly checked the meters for me and sent readings. She dealt with post that came for the tenant who had not left a forwarding address and even offered to cut the grass when it was getting long. I can't praise her enough, she is friendly and very helpful. Now the house is sold I'll quite miss our chats.

I would like to refer to an example of going the extra mile and for me Bridgfords Swinton are the go to Estate Agent no question. As the agent marketing a current property I was blown away by the customer service. My elderly auntie is using Bridgfords and on a recent viewing Mike came around to show the potential buyers around the property. My auntie offered a brew to everyone but realised she didn’t have enough milk, Mike (from Bridgfords) offered to go and buy some but Auntie said not to as it was no problem. After the viewing Mike went to a local outlet and not only bought her some milk but a few other provisions to keep her going, biscuits etc, he would not hear of her paying for the items. How brilliant, caring and generous is that. He really looked after her and it meant the world to her and us as relatives. This was excellent customer service in this regard but on the whole the service from start to finish has been second to none. If ever marketing a future property I would not hesitate in approaching Bridgfords and I would urge anyone reading this to do so too. Thank you Mike and Bridgfords you truly are amazing !!

Although we had several offers and buyers who ended up having to pull out for personal reasons, bridgfords always had more viewers lined up, without fail. I requested the name of an electrician to carry out an electrical test as I don’t live in the area. I received the test results via Bridgfords ( who also saw the test certificate) and I found later, to my cost, that the certificate was:
Illegal as it contained no contractors reference
Some pages required for a proper certificate were missing
A different electrician I employed found numerous errors with his results
As a result I had to have the house rewired and could not obtain compensation as the electrician had gone out of business
Bridgfords denied any liability despite their recommendation and their dealing with the electrician concerned

Bridgfords Whitefield who I listed my house for sale with closed down, so I was moved to Swinton. This company doesn't have the people or processes to run a service they tell you they can offer.
1. My property was meant to be listed as premium, yet never was at Whitefield, until I'd been moved to Swinton.
2. The new images I had done after decorating my house, wasn't used on the new listing with Swinton! I had to keep chasing them up to get them to update their images! (2 months later they're still not correct!)
3. They didn't have a video for the property which was included as a premium listing apparently. In short, you get a generic video that has no relevance to your area, with some grotty shopping centre appearing in the video out of area, and surprise, again with this 'video' using old images lol. You couldn't make this up. Again after weeks of chasing... These images were never updated, confusing prospects as to what the property actually looks like.
4. They put a agent to show my house who was brand new to the area and business it would seem. Had no idea about the surrounding area, even though I'd spent a ton of time with the manager explaining all about this, (Libby Wilson).. You'd have thought they'd want to put their best people on my house to make up for all these errors and 3 months of wasted time with the old office in Whitefield that has closed (now I see why!)
5. The new agent, arrived for the first viewing with a family not suitable for my property, I was told it was a 'young woman who's dad is buying it for her' in fact there were 2 family's of 8 who wanted to look, which my house was too small for.
She even forgot the keys when she arrived for the showing - - I wasn't far walking the dog so when she called I run back to let them all in!
6. For the second viewing, the same woman arrived 10 mins late. The viewers who had been waiting a while were about to leave... I was notified with my alarm system when they pressed the door bell, so I called the estate agent who told me she's running late, and I simply said 'OK maybe just let those coming to view the property know so they don't leave' lol.
They were ideal buyers, younger couple really loved the property, and the agent was expecting them to put in a offer from the phone call she gave me, I said maybe get them back for a second viewing first! Show them the area etc and get them back.
Her lack of experience really shows.
So after all this, I emailed the manager again Libby, who assured me the video will be updated with the correct images, etc and to have more experience agents show my property....
Since then, nearly 3 weeks ago, I've heard.... Nothing.
THERE'S STILL OLD IMAGES ON MY CURRENT LISTING THAT I'VE ASKED FOR MONTHS TO UPDATE!!
I chased again 1 week ago for an update... Nothing.
Seems to me, this company is closing down and no-one really cares... And they're taking it for the last ride.
Other than that, it's no wonder online estate agents are taking over...

Having previously had a bad experience with other estate agents in the area, at first I was reluctant to try another, however, Bridgfords were like a breath of fresh air. My experience as a landlord.
I don’t fully trust estate agents because, in the past, I have found them to be excessively focused on money and on short term interests. However, in this instance, my experience with the lettings team has turned out to be very positive – Mr James T (letting manager) showed a good ability to negotiate on fees, he advertised the property in line with my wishes and appropriately liaised with his team so that viewings would happen promptly and effectively. As a consequence, a suitable tenant was found within 5 working days.
To me, it is important that my tenant is treated with respect and consideration – it appears that this is the case. The lettings team is also good in getting back to me, answering questions and acting upon reasonable requests. I cannot fault them so far.
On the basis of my experience, I sincerely recommend this lettings service.

Fantastic service, staff who all know what they are doing, especially Bella & Mike who were very professional, focused and friendly. 33 viewings in the first week and accepted one of 11 offers for £15,000 over the asking price, I was literally gobsmacked!!!! Definitely recommend ????

Very smooth process in selling our house. From valuation to completion the sale of our property was well managed by the bridgfords Swinton branch. We were kept well informed of all viewings and given feedback on them. The staff were knowledgable and helpful every step of the way. What we expected to be a very stressful process turned out to be smooth, so much so that we are buying our next property through bridgfords.
