We have recently bought a property which Hunters were the estate agents for. Although Louise initially dealt with us, she then went on maternity leave but the rest of the team made sure they kept everything progressing and kept us informed every step of the way. I found them to be very professional but approachable at the same time. They were also very accommodating regarding the several viewings we requested. I would certainly recommend them and would have no hesitation in dealing with them again.
Absolutely atrocious customer service. They're very happy to take your money but as soon as you pick up the keys you don't get an iota of service.
No response to emails, no returned phone calls. The property we moved into was completely filthy, disgustingly so, the garden had not been maintained for over 6 months, easily but they visited and said it only needed a 'light clean' and 'light maintenance' in the garden. On top of all of this, we had to pay an extra deposit because the incompetent staff failed to communicate between themselves and the landlady that we had a cat. When we turned up to collect the keys we were told that the landlady didn't want anyone with a pet...fine but we had advised them twice and had a removal van outside! Avoid like the plague.
Despite many setbacks outside the estate agents control the team kept us fully up to date on the progress of buying our home. Special praise to Mike for his constant updates + support and Suzanne for her expert mortgage advice and patience finding us the best deal that suited US. Highly recommended.
AVOID! Office run by a very young team dealing with large financial transactions with the training of the same ilk/greed of a home improvement salesmen; fear of loss etc...
Don't be slickered by fictitious other offers by the usual creation of 'ghost' buyers!
Only a matter of time that estate agencies are run by true licenced professionals with the Scottish property system in place.
Vicky has been excellent throughout the process so far, kept me updated all the time and very easy to get hold of.
All I can say is read my review on their Facebook group. I can assure anyone reading it that their treatment towards me is not rare. Read the other comments there. Failed to turn up to inspections, repairs not done correctly if at all, no communication between staff (staff leaving frequently!!) dangerous work done. Leaving blades around for kids to touch and worst of all telling my landlady that my daughter had just died!!!!!!! When in fact she died ten years ago. Not that it's their business to discuss this. Awful company. You're better selling your house on the back of a postcard on Tescos noticeboard. Please read their Facebook page. Lots of negatives including them discussing staff relationships on there! I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation as to why they made a circa £2.5m LOSS the past two years
A house I own recently became vacant and I’ve used the Walkden Branch of Yourmove to advertise and arrange the viewings for a new tenant . They have been very professional and efficient and new tenants have been moved in within a couple of weeks . Big thanks to Lee and all the office in general . Really good service .Thankyou
Dreadful company. We are landlords, I have never dealt with any agent like this in all of my years of renting property. Rude, inefficient and unprofessional .
I’m delighted that we have discovered Cardwells, we wouldn’t use anyone else now. They charge a fair price for an excellent service from Andrew, Rick, Claire and the team. Showing people around for us, even on Sundays, was a massive help. Highly recommended if you are looking for an estate agent in Bolton.
I instructed Cardwells to act as rental agents for two newly refurbished properties a couple of years.
Bad experience from start to finish. I left shoe covers for any prospective tennants to be shown around the house as the carpets were brand new. Discovered the letting agent was wearing shoes and also instructing any viewers to not bother with the covers. Arrogant and unprofessional attitude. They recommend clients who didnt pass a credit check. I complained and they cancelled the contract and tried to bill me for their time. They didn't even realise that the terms of their own contract stated that if they cancelled then no payment was due ! When I pointed this out and also told them I would take the matter to ARLA , they became contrite and apologetic.
Now with the pandemic, I've got time and inclination to finaly post this review.
Hope it's of help to someone.
