This is a painful 5. We were buying a property Cardwells were brilliant and we made an offer which was accepted.. however, the owner then allowed it to be over ridden by a later offer and as a result myself and my partner are homeless.

We have been renting our house out for some years now with another agent and recently moved over to Cardwells. They were recommended by a family member who's property they also manage. Right from the start they have delivered a professional service that has been very reassuring. They carry out frequent visits and will always update with photos within the property. We highly recommend them

I instructed Cardwells to act as rental agents for two newly refurbished properties a couple of years.
Bad experience from start to finish. I left shoe covers for any prospective tennants to be shown around the house as the carpets were brand new. Discovered the letting agent was wearing shoes and also instructing any viewers to not bother with the covers. Arrogant and unprofessional attitude. They recommend clients who didnt pass a credit check. I complained and they cancelled the contract and tried to bill me for their time. They didn't even realise that  the terms of their own contract stated that  if they cancelled then no payment was due ! When I pointed this out and also told them I would take the matter to ARLA , they became contrite and apologetic.
Now with the pandemic, I've got time and inclination to finaly post this review.

Really can't say enough positive things about Cardwells, in particular Ric and Claire, who were absolutely instrumental in helping us move home. We have used Cardwells as landlords of a property we own for the past 3 years and their management through David has been invaluable.We recently sold this property again through Cardwells and after 2 weeks the property was sold thanks to Claire, Rik, Christian and the team. If you are looking for the stress to be taken out of selling and renting this is the team to use. Ignore any negative comments as our whole experience has been completely hassle free.

Purchased my first house very recently with Cardwells and the team were amazing! Had a few issues with the seller but everything was resolved. Hopefully I won't be moving house anytime soon but I wouldn't use anyone else now.

I have this last week sold my commercial premises with Cardwells. In a difficult commercial market place I found the staff there conscientious and determined to find me a buyer and bring the sale through to completion. I cannot thank the team enough as this was the home to my business for over 25 years so it was important it was handled well. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The best service I have ever received from an estate agents. Rik and Claire were outstanding. They always acted in a friendly and professional manner and nothing was too much trouble. They would call back when promised,  chase up anything you needed and would go the extra mile. Would give 6 stars if I could.

just a update I received a call from someone from the firm he will try say it's about the offer but it is not on sunday dave said to us its ours but did not explain even tho a offer been put in and excepted if a higher one comes in we may not get it. his advise was dont worry have a nice sunday there nothing you need give us and someone will CALL you MONDAY no call came till after they got someone else offer and gave it the person of the house to accept. all that time they could of come to us and called us in the morning as was agreed on sunday. we would of given the full asking price should they of been honest and kind. GUYS PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. 

feel let down we had a offer accepted on sunday for 3 Staveley Avenue, Bolton BL1 and where told to just wait and they will tell us what do next I explained we got the mortgage also any document they need they said no do not worry someone will call you monday. on monday we where told what to send we done it then they say they got another offer after we had agreed a price with the owners of the house. we would of been willing to move up the price if they had not told us the house is yours. guys if you can not use this company please do not. next time I would go direct to the seller as these guys agree a price then you give them what you want and still advertise it for sale. guys do not use these if you ever see a house on sale with these guys be sure to double check it's taken off the market once agreed i also got the call recorded. I have the manager telling me its ours he was called dave. i will be taking legal advice as all my calls are recorded. I would never use this company again and if you see a house for sale with them I say speak to the owners of the property once there contract up buy it without these lot as they back stab you and look for more money.

Our company has worked with Cardwells for numerous years but until recently I have never had the need to use their services, and their services really are 5 star. After discussing a property I had for sale which needed renovation I agreed a price and fee's, the price suggested matched my expectations and the fees I felt were very reasonable. Cardwells have looked after our rental house for years now. We don’t need to worry about the tenancy, as Andrew, Dave and the team take care of everything for us. There are frequent property inspections, and monthly financial statements, the staff are knowledgable, cheerful and chatty. Unprofessional. No communication between agency and current tenants. Turned up for a viewing which I had finished work early for to be turned away because the tenants wern't in, despite the agent having a set of keys for the house with him. Waste of time!

Viewed properties with this agent along with my partner.  Seemed nice but a bit slow in getting back to people. Overall ok.

I cannot rate Cardwells Estate Agents highly enough as the service they provide is excellent. They dealt with the sale of my property professionally and in a friendly and informed manner. All of the staff are great and can be relied to the best they can for you. A nice touch is that they have ex-police officers working for them taking viewings so you know your house will be safe when they are showing people around.

Highly recommend Cardwells if you want to sell your property,  extremely smooth transaction, informative all the way through and pleasant to boot.  Can't beat this

Having tried to sell my house with a couple of different agents and being messed around, gave Cardwells a try based on a recommendation from a friend. Wish I'd done it earlier! The valuation stood up against what I hoped for, I was informed of everything, feedback from every viewing, and they got me an offer that the others couldn't. The post sale service was great too, I really couldnt have asked for any more. I strongly recommend this is where you turn if you want to sell your house

Cardwells have managed the rental of my property in Bolton for around the last three years. I live miles away from  from what was my home town now, and do not have the time or inclination to look after it myself. I have been delighted with the way Cardwells have taken care of everything for me. I get in depth video, photo and written reports on the condition of my property frequently, and get monthly statements regarding the rent which is collected by them and paid straight into my account. I do not normally write reviews for anyone, but I am writing this so other people can see how pleased I am with the service I receive. Before I rented my property out I had heard various horror stories about what can go wrong. Cardwells have run everything smoothly with no issues and great tenants. Cardwells are highly recommended to all.

10 / 10. Very pleased. They sold my mum's house for the asking price, were very easy to deal. Highly recommended.
