Saw an ad for a flat for sale on Avon Street.. The ad contained no information about the service charge, nor about the ground rent, nor about the length of lease outstanding nor about the room sizes. In fact I have never seen an ad with so little information.......... ......... oh and they completely forgot to mention that the flat advertised for sale has a tenant.

Have worked in property sales for over 35 years and this is the worst service I have experienced. I Requested to view a property and gave a week's notice and two different dates. Said I could go any time. Was told they could not accommodate either day due to staff holiday!!
Pity the vendor who is getting no viewings on their property because they have no staff to accompany viewings!
Property is empty so client will just think there is no interest.

We were not disappointed from our first phone call to handing over our keys they were all excellent their support , help and patience were exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble for them it didn’t matter what time or day we phoned they were always there with a reassurance that it was all going fine.
We had rather fussy buyers which was very frustrating but Joe , Sharon and Anna made the whole process go through smoothly.

We found chattertons to be excellent to deal with, they sold the property within one week of it going on the market, there fees are very competitive and although we only met Joe in person for the initial introduction and valuation of the property as we mostly corrosponded via a whats app group and emails which worked really well for us being at work and meant any quiries was acted on promptly we found the whole team to be very professional, friendly and accomdating, nothing was to much trouble, we would highly recommend them.

We had a very poor experience selling our flat with another local estate agent where we had been on the market for over 3 months with very little success & very poor customer service !!
We decided to change over to Chatterton's. It was the best thing we could have done !! We met with Joe Chatterton & the team, they took photos & measurements. The advert on Rightmove looked fantastic !! WE AGREED A SALE WITHIN A WEEK !!

Chatterton Estate Agents managed the property that I bought last year and, although they didn't necessarily work "for me", I feel like they have bent over backwards to help me with any questions I've had since the purchase.
They always get back to me within a day, and have never made me feel like I can't approach them for help. I've spoken to a few members of the team now and they are all really friendly and approachable.
All of the members of staff seemed to know exactly where I was in the purchase process which was useful, and they were really on the ball with chasing paperwork from other parties.
I've seen a lot of Chatterton management signs in the area that I live, which is not a surprise considering how professional they've been with me. I'll definitely be contacting them for support when I come to sell in the future.

We interviewed 7 companies when making the decision to go with an estate agent to sell our property and having completed the sale we can say Chatterton’s were most definitely the right decision. They always responded really quickly to any contact. They suggested that we use WhatsApp which worked really well for us; both my husband and I were able to feel up to date and involved with the sale. All of the staff, Joe, Claire, Dave and Anna, were so friendly, very approachable and very genuine. They gave great advice to us which we felt had been tailored to our needs and circumstance, leaving us feeling reassured. They had a great approach towards COVID, ensuring that we always felt safe and they followed all current regulations but not aggressively, so possible putting prospective buyers off. (We had previously met an estate agent that we felt was going to potentially put off prospective buyers). The intention to sell a house during 2 lockdowns was not planned, but made incredibly easier and calmer through Chattertons. They are an exceptionally professional but personal team, who really understand your position and needs, providing support and assurance throughout. We were fortunate that the home that we bought in December 2020 was being marketed by Chatterton Estate Agents as they helped us to negotiate with the sellers to achieve a mutually acceptable purchase price for the house.
In addition Chatterton were very proactive in helping to drive the purchase forward; in particular chasing one of the the Solicitors in the four-party chain who was stalling the process to the frustration of the other three parties and their own clients.

Claire, Joe and Dave have a unique estate agency and treat all clients with a friendly and highly professional service. They made me feel very special and as if I was their only client... which clearly was not the case... they are a very successful agency with an extensive list of properties and extremely satisfied buyers and sellers...
I dealt almost exclusively with Dave who was extremely efficient and always kept me informed as to the progress of my sale.
Nothing was too much trouble for the firm.
If only other estate agents operated like this then perhaps the industry would have a much better reputation.

After having an offer excepted on a house we instructed a solicitor and sorted a mortgage as fast as we could for a quick sale (vendor wanted), but after 5 months of being misled and strung along we pulled out of the deal. Dave didnt seem worried that we pulling out or the fact we were heavily out of pocket. Phone calls weren't returned and questions asked weren't answered or avoided.

We decided to register with Chatterton's after they sold our neighbors house within a week. Joe came to us on the Saturday our house went on the market on the Tuesday we had a viewing on the Wednesday and an offer on Thursday by Friday afternoon our house was sold. Joe Chatterton and Dave Fellows were extremely helpful and kept us in the loop with any updates throughout the selling process. I would highly recommend Chatterton's Estate Agents to anyone wishing to sell their home as we had a professional, hassle free selling experience with them.

These guys are amazing! They sold my house in just 19 days and for just 1% commission. I was away from home and Dave told me I had a wasps nest. Because there was a viewing he vacuumed up the dead wasps. That's going that extra mile. Thanks Joe, Claire and Dave.

Chatterton Estate Agents are to be heartily recommended. They are proactive and diligent in finding serious buyers and their marketing is attractive, eye catching ...and it works. I have experience of using other agencies and I can honestly say that a smaller agent is a better business in my view.
Joe and Dave are informed, friendly and work hard to achieve what everyone wants - a sale. They just got on with the job and took much of the hard work away from me.

We decided to go with Chattertons to sell our house because they seemed to sell the most properties in the village we wanted to move to - they would have insider knowledge we hoped! - plus their rate was attractive and we liked the idea of the personal touch of a smaller company; Previous experiences with larger companies had always been frustrating too. We figured that once we had sold they would know of properties that were coming on the market to hopefully get one step ahead of everyone else getting all those rightmove email alerts! For houses that had already sold!
Sure enough, when we did sell - Dave was straight on the phone to tell us about a property he had seen only a few minutes before - and could we go round there and then!
The team were very helpful throughout the process and at the end when we were getting very frustrated with solicitors, they helped smooth the way by pushing everyone along.
Thanks Dave, Joe and Claire - we love our new house.

Unfortunately, I had a pretty terrible experience with these estate agents. The viewing experience was awful, the agent I met with rushed me around the property and was unable to open the utility/garden to view, and got quite flustered at that fact. They didn't know any information about the property and had openly admitted it was their first time seeing it themselves, and couldn't tell me much further information about it apart from what was available on the listing website. After agreeing to come back and view another day, I rang back to arrange, was laughed at for wanting to book a viewing at 7:30pm on a weeknight and was told "I'm eager but I'm not 7:30pm eager" by the agent and unfortunately, unable to arrange for the Saturday either - sadly, some of us have to work long hours and have commitments on weekends, and completely put me off wanting the second viewing. Lost yourself an interested buyer (and wouldn't recommend as a vendor), and anytime I come across a property listed by Chatterton's again, I will be looking to find it listed under another estate agents! And ok, I'm not trying to buy the biggest house on the street, but every customer should be treated with the same level of care/respect, large or small.

Chatterton estate agent was the sellers agent and we were the purchasers. Throughout they were great. From the viewing, putting the offer in and then the purchase.
The actual purchase was a bumpy ride but this was not the fault of Chatterton. They dealt with my queries promptly and were key in chivving along the solicitors when queries were not being answered. Dave Fellows deserves a special mention as he was our link to the vendor. That said all were great.
We love our new home and if it hadn’t been for the help provided from the team with pushing for queries we would have moved elsewhere.
