I put my house on the market and had such a negative experience with first estate agent but then changed to Clyde properties and I cannot tell you the difference. They are friendly but not intrusive. They are determined but not aggressive. They are organised and supportive. From the minute I went with Clyde I knew they would sell my house. Regular phone calls keeping me up to date. The online portal allows you to keep up to track with everything that’s going on! Every phone call they introduce themselves so you know who you are talking to. They popped in to my house last minute to collect my keys for a short notice viewing to save me coming into town. The personal little things they do stop the process being stressful. It’s the opposite! I have accepted an offer and they are now supporting me through the next stage. I know it’s sounds silly but they genuinely care about you. You are not just another house to sell. My previous experience makes me appreciate that so much. The feedback I received from people viewing the house was extremely positive. They always answer phone calls, chase up feedback in a lovely way and they also help the people out if they can. Nothing is a bother. They guided me through the whole process. Generally competent and well organised. We would like to see Clyde introduce an induction to the property, for new tenants, ie instruct on use of gas boiler controller, how to top up boiler pressure vessel, as required, use Mr Muscle or similar to clear drains blocked by grease etc, Each time a Plumber is called out to solve the foregoing problem, a charge of £80 - £120 is levied on the Landlord.... Staff were friendly however not impressed by several aspects of quality and process of selling with Clyde. First was the quality of photos taken of the property, ended up getting own photos taken and used instead. Second issue was being told I HAD to use their home report people, I had found someone to do it half the price....they then tried to say if the buyers mortgage company needed more information I would need to pay for that...again untrue that's up to the buyer. Next issue was feeling persuaded to take one of the first offers which I knew was low, I disagreed and ended up getting the offer I wanted. After I accepted an offer they handed my keys to the buyers surveyor to let himself in before I had even moved out! He was as embarrassed as I was when he realised I was in the house still. Then on the day of hand over I dropped the keys in only to get a call later in the day as they didn't have the keys...I told them to check again and they must have found them as I never heard from them again! Such a shame they let themselves down on quite an easy sale for them, will not be using again.... Read more
