Whilst I cannot fault the staff for their friendliness and professional attitude, I feel that Plaister’s is a reactive rather than proactive estate agent. They were the most dynamic when we were getting quotes to put our house on the market, but that didn’t translate to selling dynamism. In eight weeks we only had four viewings. Placing the house on moving websites was seemingly all their marketing could manage, and if that didn’t translate to viewings no further effort was made. The advert on one website, for example, said ‘hidden gem, be amongst the first to view’ but it was still there, unchanged 2 months later. Their presence on national websites seems minimal, for example ‘on the market’ is a go to website for house buying, but I couldn’t find our house on it. Additionally we feel that they didn’t manage buyer expectations well, and that they could have done better at positively promoting the property.... Read more

We used David Plaister to sell my late mother’s property at auction because it needed a bit of structural work and so was difficult to sell through the usual Estate Agent channels. From start to finish both David Plaister and Sophie Thorne; (who deals with the administration and sale) were professional, personable and highly efficient in ensuring everything was done to maximise the chance of selling the property. Their marketing is second to none, and this coupled with David’s knowledge of the local area and Sophie’s attention to detail ensured we were served very well indeed. The property sold at the first auction at a price that both parties ( buyer as well as vendor!) were pleased with. We could not have had better service- I would highly recommend David Plaister for anyone having to sell a property at auction.
