They were offering a house for sale and repeatedly assured me that the owner would 100% sell as soon as they found a new property for themselves. I decided to proceed with the purchase and patiently waited. The mortgage was approved, I completed full searches, and after 4 months, I received an email stating that the owner was backing out and not selling the house. I lost £850 and 4 months of time. Additionally, there was a complete lack of respect for the customer, extremely poor communication, and failure to reply to emails. I felt like an enemy throughout the process. I wouldn't wish this kind of service on anyone when buying a home.

I have been extremely impressed with Saxons, particularly, Ryan D.
I previously had my property up for sale with another agent who I wasn't impressed with. I then had three further agents out to dicuss my property (Saxons being one), I really liked the confidence Ryan had in selling my property. He has such passion for his job and is knowledgeable about the market. I chose to go with Saxons for these reasons and I have been nothing but impressed with the service.
In a matter of weeks I had three viewings and one of those has purchased my property which is fab compared to my previous agent.
I have very prompt replies to my emails which I am so grateful for and the customer service is just fab.

Used these guys in my move that completed in January 2021 to Worle and honestly these guys are pretty awful. Didn’t keep us updated with our buyers progress, so we had to get this directly from the buyer by texting them. Unfortunately they didn’t get the exact details of our buyers situation which delayed things massively and almost cost us our move. Then when I went to drop off the keys on the morning of the move they said “oh, are you moving today?”. The word clueless comes to mind.

Our experience of buying a flat with Saxons was very long as it took 5 months to get in with no chain on our side. I feel like things were not progressed or chased in a timely manner and we were not a priority. Communicating with Saxons was sometimes difficult, especially whilst working, I would sometimes ring at 3pm and nobody would answer the phone. I constantly had to chase Saxons for any updates. In the end, we got there so can’t complain too much but was somewhat stressful, especially over the Christmas period.

We were initially impressed by Saxons when we contracted them to sell our house. They were communicative and efficient, and gave us a good rate. We have taken our business elsewhere, however, due to what we feel was poor customer service at the subsequent stages of the customer journey. This experience has raised questions for me about how the staff at Saxons are treated by upper management and whether the company is investing in enough training for staff.
The person who I assume was our account manager and who shall remain nameless, was lacking in interpersonal skills and we felt she wasn’t listening to us. Dealing with her was quite dehumanising and gave me the feeling that I was just an item to be ticked off a list.
There were local amenities and original features which Saxons could have included in our listing that would have made our property stand out to potential buyers, however when I asked for adjustments to be made, I was met with a defensive response which deterred any further discussion of ideas. The adjustments were made but with open resistance.
We were not kept informed of how our property was doing, in terms of web interest, so we were surprised at being told to reduce the price of our property after only 6 weeks on the market, being told only “we’re not having much luck with this one”. We were open to reducing the price, but also felt that Saxons’ marketing could have been vastly improved. Copy and content were not at all compelling although the photos were fine.
On asking for cancellation of our contract with Saxons I was again met with defensiveness and the wrong assumption that we were cancelling because our house had not yet sold. When I offered feedback regarding our experience and the real reason why we were cancelling I was told that I could give feedback but that they had done everything right and that “we know how to sell properties”. I didn’t bother replying. I feel as though I have been told off for leaving and that the only possible reason why I could be taking my business elsewhere is due to my own stupidity. We are set to re-list with an agent with great marketing ideas so we are hopeful to sell in the new year.
Not a great experience, Saxons. We would have stayed if we had felt there was a genuine conversation to be had. Good business is not about ticking all the boxes, it’s about listening to and caring about your clients.

If I could give a zero star I would. Absolutely disgraceful service, incompetent comes to mind. Wouldn't sell or buy a house through these people, avoid at all costs. Told me they had sold my house with a cash rich buyer and that the buyer who was selling their other house would still go ahead with the purchase of ours as the purchase was not dependent on their sale. I informed them that if this sale wasn't finalised in a reasonably quick timescale I would have no option but to put it back on the rental market. They guaranteed me it would be a quick deal. 5 months later and it has fallen through due to the buyers issue with the sale of their other property. We have now ended up with huge losses due to interest rates being so high. I've chased saxons up so many times pushing them for a response and they fail to come back to me. I've lost so much money due to their lies and incompetence. They are now saying its not their fault its because the other buyers have been lying and they are responsible. When questioned about why haven't they done their due diligence and checks and chased them up, Ryan quoted its not their job, we aren't solicitors . It's not his fault they lied to him. These buyers are actually selling their house through saxons to and they say they didn't know about the issues. Unbelievable lies. How would you not know there are issues with the sale of the other house when you are the agents selling it and how would you not know that the purchase of our house is dependant on the sale of their other house when you are the agent selling it. We have been lied to and strung along by these agents. We have lost several thousand pounds due to their dishonesty. Even one of their own team confirmed that the conversations that i have hadd with saxons were correct and that we have a right to be upset. . I wouldn't be happy if I were the other people either being called liars. Totally disrespectful, dishonest and disgraceful
Further to your response you kept us in the dark for months and you are still lying. I have witnesses to the phone conversations and yiu continue to lie behind your incompetence. Infact your own team member agreed that the way the sale has been dealt with and subsequent complaints where you the manager continuously failed to return phone calls and messages is a disgrace. Avoid this company is my recommendation

Be careful.... they entice you with asking you to pay the full asking price in the promise of a fast sale, ( pay the full asking price and we will ensure a fast sale for you) Once they have you as a sale it is like you don’t exist.... trying to get hold of anyone is impossible....and everytime you call they never remember your name or which property you are buying. After 7.5 months of trying to buy a one house chain as a cash buyer..... I had to go down to the office and lose my cool with them to get them to do anything. Even then they couldn’t even be bothered to acknowledge you.
The whole place is ran by a bunch of kids who don’t care one bit... I never write reviews , as I can’t be bothered but honestly... if you’re buying a house through Saxons at WSM just know you are in youre in for a undelightful treat of stress and anger..

the first buyer pulled out, then a second buyer ofered a lower PP which was accepted. Saxons Sales Progressor sat and did no chasing at all, so after 2 months the purchase solicitor have only just woken up -today and asked for Search money to even start the purchase work. Awful service at Saxons, despite promise of a quick Sale for each of these buyers! and costing us a lot extra running cost on the property in the meantime

Initially they were very responsive and got the marketed very quickly. By marketing I mean they photographed and put the info on relevant websites.
They overpriced our property initially, and of course it did not sell but although Tony was very freindly I got fed up with always being expected to show the viewer around; I thought this was the estate agents job.
And when they actually facilitate a viewing themselves I am afraid I found they had left the house with two of the three external doors unlocked! At this point we decided to find different estate agent
I have had a review response some 3 months after I dismissed them and posted my review.
An inaccurate response - one that suggests 'we have different recollections' of the initial pricing of this property.
When I put this house on the market I had a witnessed discussion with the agent, and he gave me this suggested price. This price was a witnessed event. In fact I actually stated that I had no idea how to proceed and he reassured assured me he would 'guide me'. He did advcate a few days later reducing his suggested price, which I subsequently did.
Of the viewings arranged most viewers had not already sold, most timings were during the day. Many were undertaken by me because Saxons asked me too - their offices are not local and unless those viewing were happy to come at either 9am or 5pm I was asked to undertake them rather than Saxons travelling several miles to accomodate the viewing. I can understand this - but mid Covid???
It was almost a predictable problem as they are based about 15 miles from me and therefore any viwings they supported would have taken quite a chunk out of their day. I asked them to undertake the sale because they were selling a property I wanted to purchase. Seemed logical at the time, but lesson learnt.
And yes I was out with my dog on the odd occasion they did facilitate the viewing - but why would I not take my keys with me?
It is utterly ridiculous to say that leaving two of my 3 external doors unlocked was 'in case I hadn't got my keys'. Even if this was true then why leave 2 unlocked, not only 1 so I could be sure to gain access?
No I am sorry, I appreciate this is very ngative but I can only report my personal experience. It was not all bad but the initial overvaluation and ultimate failure to leave our property secure on his final visit are indisputable, and acknowledged.
To be fair I think had this agent been more local the initial valuation and supporting of viewings would have not been the problems they were.

I purchased a property through Saxons in WSM as advertised as no onward chain. The estate agent that showed us around the property provided inaccurate information about the property. We were not informed that the house required the grant of probate to be sold and this had not been completed. We found this information out second hand 2 weeks after the offer was accepted. The process took double the time of a regular sale (16weeks) and we had very little contact from Saxons throughout. Overall disappointed.

Poor communication on the progression side. I tried multiple times throughout the months that went by to get in contact but still they refused to speak to me and would only speak to my partner (which I feel was really quite sexist). I had given my contact details on the forms I gave in and had them on the emails / my voicemails so to be given the excuse of not having them was just not good enough.
I eventually had to take matters in to my own hand and go to my sellers house and get their contact number directly to actually have any communication and to find out what was going on.
And finally on our official move date we had a call from Saxons at 5pm saying that they are sorry but haven't heard from our seller about exchanging keys... Luckily I arranged to get them directly myself or we would have been waiting all day...

We saw a property we liked on with Saxon's. They were brilliant showing us round, displaying the house perfectly. We decided to go with them ourselves because of this and they were so efficient! We had an incredible amount of viewings, and Beth was relentless in her approach and her communication was fantastic. We wouldn't use anybody else if we were looking to move. Appointment cancelled less than half an hour before the actual appointment saying emergency reasons, never tried to get back to us since then (10days). Customer service second to none. If that was my house I would have serious concerns about the activity they want to charge you for.
I looked through the reviews I was not the only one. Somehow only the 5 star reviews go with owner's feedback. Quite self-explanatory...

I’ve worked with Saxons in Weston for many years. Having most recently used them to sell my properties, they demonstrated the ability to sell three flats in one month...far better than the little interest I had from the previous estate agent who had them all on the market for the four months prior.
A great team, they may not have the flashy website or branding of some of the big corporate boys, but the guys work hard and know how to sell. I would be happy to work with them again.

Dissatisfied as a viewer. If I was a vendor I would be worried about them selling my home to a high standard.
I pointed out I was a first time buyer, mortgage set up and solicitors allocated and I needed to get a sale agreed on the day I was viewing. READY TO GO!!
The information over the phone was basically nothing. No one was willing to talk me through processes and had a few viewings cancelled on me.
When it came to rescheduling that was all sorted, turned up to view 2 on the Saturday with Saxons, the ‘Saturday lady’ turned up, knew nothing about the properties, nothing about the vendors onwards move, never seen the properties, didn’t even know which front door to use!!!!!!!
I then asked a few questions and was told to call the office when I have time... well in my opinion you book viewing slots to have 1 on 1 time with the agent to ask questions, this is my time!
Following this the lady kept shutting my points down and basically making out I was deluded.
Ended up cancelling my other viewings, feel sorry for those vendors, but I had no faith in the team and I made that extremely clear to the follow up call I received and they said sorry you feel this way, and ended the call. So ...
Not professional, disappointing service and as a buyer I felt really uncertain.

Very professional. Sent someone to value property swiftly and happy to constantly pick up keys from other family members as we don’t live there. Popped down for a weekend to sort the house and meet the manager and said we’d be back the following week to do more painting and he said not to bother as it would be sold by then. He was right! Sold within 2 days... set me up with a reasonably priced conveyancer and Energy certificate company too. Practically let me name the price I wanted for the house and set my own fees...Highly recommended.

Beware anyone who payed a deposit over to this agent before 2013 seems that the owner has comitted fraud cancelled my deposit protection scheme and now my deposit has disappeared now in contact with the police several case's on going
Please check your deposit is still there if you were told that rentin now has it

Had little feed back at what my buyer is doing, ask for call backs and not got any, ask for them to collect a key so my buyer will be able to collect from their office on removal day, they promised to come out for one and have not done so, after I have waited all day for them. Moving is stressful enough without all this aggravation.
Bet they will want their money in full after doing so little to earn it.
