Made an appointment to see a house, they cancelled the appointment and didn't tell us so we travelled 7 miles to get there. We phoned them outside the property and they said it was cancelled but said they would be there in 5 minutes. Waited 30 minutes and still had not turned up, so went and contacted another estate agent who were selling the property and they seemed to know what they were doing. I would give knights a zero for waisting our time and fuel but Google won't let me.

I have resided in a flat from Knights Lettings Barry for just over 2 years now. From the past 8 months I have been having issues in my flat regarding plumbing. There had been several attempts by my side to resolve this issue with Knights and they have attempted to solve this issue three times but is still unsolved. Somebody's else waste was coming in to my toilet for the first seven months and now after another visit from the plumber my toilet is not flushing. Communication with Knights is abysmal and makes me feel like I am the only one interested in having this issue resolved. Environmental Health Agency has been contacted to report the issue and are still awaiting an update from the Letting Agency. This constant issue is affecting my mental health and making me feel like I am a burden. I just want this issue sorted as soon as possible so I can be free from stress and anxiety.

Sam, Georgia and the team at Knights were brilliant during the process of purchasing a property in January 2023. They responded to queries promptly and were really accommodating with booking the initial and follow-up viewings. I just wish Knights also offered a conveyancing and surveying service as they provided by far the best service out of all of the various services used during the purchasing process!

Sam was amazing for us throughout our whole selling and buying process. The communication was top notch, advice was spot on and the whole process was super easy. Moving house is obviously far from stress free but Sam made it as close to that as possible.
Any issues, any problems, any advice needed and she’d get right back to us! The approach they take makes it feel very very personal and that’s something I love!
We see this house as our forever home but if for some reason we ever have to move again then we will be going through Knights 100%!!

Absolute shambles, was turfed out of flat to adjacent flat during covid for temp 'essential repairs' by landlord only for it to be knocked through leaving the whole building open to elements. This lasted 3 years with mouse and insect infestations and numerous intruders. Kids breaking in and the only security being plywood with a padlock. Shared entrance hall was filthy from site and cleaned three times in 4 years. Once using the excuse of covid to avoid having to attend despite random arrivals without warning by landlord and relocation demands during this time. Lived in essentially a building site. When toilet broke took 4 months, window took 3 month, never had bedroom radiator, flat was broke into when away and landlord refused to fix it claiming I done it myself. Left with no lock on busy street for months. Got to point I gave up asking. Never had hot water for bath home time and shower would break monthly instead of being replaced would be botched again. The front desk staff are OK but has High turnaround and get impression they are intimidated by management who are rude and unapproachable. Wouldn't let me use phone in office once when energy card needed replacing, embarrassing me at desk as had no credit. They don't get back with problems or maintenance but are quick to chase any landlord enquiries or payment demands. They have no regard for there tenants and clearly put there landlords first. Was told by vale council that the flat I was illegally and temporary moved into wasn't even registered correctly and therefore would be uninsured. The landlord would turn up unoticed during covid no ppe and clearly has no regard for tenancy laws or the comfort or wellbeing of the people renting the properties. He would try to charge cash for 'call outs' every time there was a maintennace issue. Claiming he had to pay for a contractor despite it being his own staff. A radiotor broke in winter and had to purchase my own as was getting ill waiting 3 weeks to get fixed in cold. The flats are shabby and unfinished and takes weeks and months for simple repairs and when told about the mouse infestation due to the knocked through adjacent flat was told to contact council. Spent 3 years essentially on a building site. Promised I'd be moved back in after a full refurb. Avoid this agency especially the certain landlord at all costs. Having gone from a homeowner to this was a wakeup call, my only experience of renting in Barry and it was a daily nightmare. Rude staff, arrogant money orientated thoughtless landlord and disgusting run down building site of a property with no security or fire doors to safeguard the open construction site. The landlord will lie and give promises of flat renovations etc and will turn up with builders to your property and walk round discussing his business when you are getting ready for work or resting. I will state again, do not put yourself through the grim daily living of dealing with these agents and there superiority complex landlords who will chase rent but shun simple responsibilities. Good bye good riddance. Although despite having a section 21 issued December of 2021 and left march last year as required still having unwarranted payment demands from them and there cowboy landlord. Harassing my guarantor for repairs to a property that was left insecure for months. Joke. This is tip of iceberg.

Knights valued and listed my house at £790,000 for our 8 bedroom, 6 bathroom property. However, following an offer, 8 weeks later, they recommend I accept £680,000 without any negotiation whatsoever. And they call themselves Sales Negotiators! As I'm now living 6000 miles away, I did accept he offer, however, I've since discovered Angela Fulgoni, the manager, at Knights, Barry is a long term close friend of the buyer. Since this discovery, I've phoned and emailed Knights on several occasions without reply. Very naughty!

I was beyond happy with the service i received from Knights and would implore anybody who is looking for an estate agent to look no further.
Their customer service was brilliant. The majority of my contact was through Abbie (apologies if i spelt the name wrong!) and she was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and explained things on a level a first time buyer could understand! She was responsive to all my queries and seemed genuinely happy to help. On a couple of occasions i spoke to other members of the team who were just as fantastic as Abbie. It became evident that Knight's staff communicate effectively between themselves as everybody i spoke to was aware of the details with regards to my purchase and helped tremendously. Through the advice i received and the actions of the team they actually sped up the purchase of my property! I only once visited the office (because of COVID) but when i did there was a really nice atmosphere and it was a really pleasant experience.
Hopefully i won't be moving property for a long time but i do i will look no further than these guys. Thanks again!

Sam & Knights were able to rectify all of our requests and collect any information we needed from the seller promptly and professionally. We were dealt with in a friendly and helpful manner and cannot complain with the service we have received. Even when calling in the office and dealing with other members of staff that weren't working on our account, they advised me above and beyond what they had to do to so we are really grateful.

Knights Lettings somehow think it's acceptable to rent out properties to families absolutely infested with black mould! I was so disgusted by the property I saw today I refused to even look upstairs and left!!
Apparently the landlord is going to sort out the mould when a tenant moves in. Unacceptable.

Company doesn't even deserve the one star. After having my recent property rent through them I am more than glad to be nearly over with all the nonsense that they come up with!
You think some of London letting agencies are bad? Think again!
Some staff has serious attitude issues, viewing appointments are late or canceled last minute. Came back home after a viewing on the property I'm currently vacating to find the lights fully switched on and doors left unlocked.
Don't bother, there's plenty to choose from elsewhere. Don't even be bothered by the lower prices - you get what you pay for.
And yes, some of the other tenants are of questionable nature.
Pay a little more but get your money worth.

I would never use Knights Letting in a million years. They (Karen) accepted a handwritten 5 line letter from a prospective tenant's BEST FRIEND as a satisfactory reference, moving her in asap. Alas, this tenant turned out to have a terrible reputation in Barry, and soon stopped paying her rent. After a lengthy process, including going to court, she now owes me about £2500, which I will never see again. Don't go near Knights.

When trying to find the perfect accomdation, the service from all staff at the Barry branch was consistently appalling.
After telling the company I had a few debts before we even got to the referencing part, they totally discrimated against me and my partner.
Even told us we had no chance in getting a flat/house.
I do not recommend this property letting estate agents to anyone, not even a homeless person.
If you have any creditors you owe then you possibly have no chance in renting a property from them neither.
