I purchased an apartment through my preferred estate agent (Peter Alan) and the then vendor of the apartment used Nina Estate Agents Ltd. to advertise the apartment for sale.

I purchased the apartment which I was and are still more than happy with, Nina Estate Agents Ltd. were good with the little involvement I had with them through the buying process and they provided a good service, however the apartment unbeknownst to me had several defects (now rectified) undisclosed to me through the buying process but the biggest issue occurred when water from the boiler was leaking which caused an obnoxious, toxic woman from the letting side of Nina Estate Agents Ltd. to call and inform me that the tenant downstairs complained of water coming through the ceiling (it were a few spots of water, it was nothing serious) and she was demanding me to call contractors out to find a quote to immediately repair the 'severe damage' that I was according to her responsible for, she then changed her mind abandoning that idea and then demanded a home insurance policy name and policy number to make a claim against me; she was shocked and angry to hear I didn't have a home insurance policy in place to cover any potential damage and demanded to know the reason why I didn't have a home insurance policy in place (I had collected the keys over one hour ago from her own workplace, she didn't accept this answer from me and she still didn't understand this fact that the apartment was sold under false advertisement) - this was within the first hour of collecting the keys which prompted me to revisit Nina Estate Agents Ltd. to talk about the issue about the listing of an apartment which was not accurately listed and was not as advertised (it's clear this estate agent does not inspect or have much to do with the state of any property, they just market property); it was resolved within no time as Nina herself was understanding and sympathetic to the situation and confirmed that the water leaking through the ceiling isn't severe providing the boiler is temporarily turned off as soon as possible and she had spoken to the obnoxious woman in the lettings department - reassuring me that it isn't an issue and apologised for the telephone call and the misunderstanding with the defects.

I still recommend Nina Estate Agents Ltd. as they do provide access to good services, advice and properties but ensure you do your own research and take care when dealing with buying any property (I learnt the hard way, I don't believe it was Nina Estate Agents Ltd. fault but more of the previous vendor and surveyors), though I didn't appreciate the toxicity of the woman from her lettings department; I bought my own home so as not to deal with toxic characters such as her anymore so I wouldn't recommend the letting side of this company from that experience only, but Nina Estate Agents Ltd. overall are good - be cautious.

I’ve witnessed shocking business practice by this company on two occasions now (the latest this morning and prompting this review).

Viewing scheduled was supposedly cancelled via email on the morning. No email received and my mother in law had already travelled 150+ miles for the viewing (which they knew). That isn’t how you do business.

Secondly, the company and its representative employees are incapable of providing accurate and objective valuations of the properties they sell. The price of the property referred to above was about £25-30k over the going market rate for similar spec (listing incorrectly stated the house was semi-detached in the first instance when in fact it was end terrace). Similarly they valued our property ~2 years ago at about £20-30k less than market value (again, wrongfully assuming our house was a 3 bed and not a 4 bed). These are the basics of any estate agent.

I would not recommend this company to anyone wishing to buy/sell in the Barry area as it is evident in at least my interactions with the company that they are incompetent at doing the basics of their job.

I had a very mixed experience with Nina's. Joanne who showed around my house was an absolute sweetheart, had a lot of time for me and pretty much sold me the house based on her fab customer service.

Unfortunately she only works part-time and has nothing to do with the actual sale of the properties. My purchase was fraught with difficulties caused by my vendor, but sadly the 'Senior Negotiator' in the office didn't make the situation any easier at all! In stark contrast to Joanne's warmth she was frosty and quite bad tempered.

If it were based on Joanne alone, I'd have definitely given 5*
(I did meet Nina and her husband, and they seemed quite nice to be fair).

Nina and the team are amazing, I was a first time buyer on my own looking for a house with a budget. Looked at a few properties and then chosen one I fell in love with. They helped explain all the processes I wasn’t sure about and even helped me choose a solicitor. Very helpful and honest people who work there and always kept me updated as the process progressed.
