Great branch of this established estate agent.

Dealt with Shirley for viewings, she was very attentive to our requirements and from our very first meeting, the team at Peter Alan took our details and contacted when a suitable property came to market.

We found a property with another company but were so impressed with the branch we went with the in house mortgage advisor, Georgina Butler.

Georgina could not have been more helpful.

She was always available via email or phone contact. She would take the time to describe and go into detail anything we were unsure of, and through her we found a fantastic deal that we were both very happy with.

All in all extremely happy with the package of service we recieved at Peter Alan in Barry, would definitely recommend.

The manager was rude to me when I asked her about commission fess. Made me out to feel as though I was cheap for asking. Also staff eating food at their desks put me off.

The team at Peter Alan are fantastic. Last year, I sold two houses and bought another, using their services throughout, including the financial services advice and conveyancing. Both houses had offer made after the open day, and the purchase went through with no problems. All achieved in 8 months, which exceeded my expectations. Their fees were not the cheapest, but they earned them - the quick sales and good prices were very important to me. The staff at Peter Alan and their solicitors are friendly, but professional and it was a great relief to know that I had them guiding me through the process. Highly recommended.

My daughter has just moved in to a rented property through this Barry branch. The lettings team there (Pete and Laura) were incredibly helpful. My daughter was made aware of everything going on and we never had to chase anything. Pete was really knowledgeable about the property on the viewing and answers all our questions. Very happy with the service my daughter received. Thank you both

We listed a house with Peter Alan in February 2020. Then lockdown happened! After lockdown I was contacted by one of the Peter Alan team to inform me that they now had a new way of selling houses, through an auction agency called 'I am sold' Peter Alan informed me that this was the best way to sell out property and that he could guarantee us well over market value, we agreed to this process and he put us in contact with I am sold. Since going with this company we have been lied to numerous times, told that house prices have gone down since lockdown (checked with our solicitor and 3 other estate agents who told us this was lies). All because they were trying to sell the house to the same man who had offered us asking price before lockdown and was now trying to get the house for £20k less. I was absolutely furious, contacted Peter Alan who told me it was nothing to do with them but got the contract with I am sold cancelled anyway. We have now decided to go with a different estate agent as we have completely lost trust in Peter alan. Today I have asked Peter Alan if they would reimburse the money we paid for photographs of the house as a goodwill gesture, was told no as it's nothing to do with Peter Alan!!! I am absolutely fuming, no customer service skills whatsoever. Beware when looking to sell a property, as its looks like they will try and get a properties value down as much as possible, just to sell to developers they work with on a regular basis!

Although we did not secure a property with Peter Alan purely due to preferring another property, we met Fern in Cardiff bay this week for a viewing. She was the only estate agent wearing a mask that we had viewed with this week (we have viewed with a good few). She wore gloves and offered us hand sanitiser before entering and after leaving the block. She was a very friendly and helpful. A delight to view with and the only agent we felt, dealt with the current climate in the upmost professional and correct manner. Kudos from us.

If you wish to be contacted at-all then avoid them like the plaugue they are mind blowingly bad and will be nothing but a hinderence. Had a viewing and had to put up with other people being there at the same time. I'd viewed and wanted to put an offer in but obviously didnt want to talk business infront of a rival for the property so had to attend the office in person.Spent half an hour stood infront of the branch manager just chatting away to a friend without even acknwledging my existence even though I was stood literally at the end of his desk. I walked out in the end as the bad manners were astonishing. Then the following morning infront of the entire cafe and shop queue (a lot of people in pandemic times. right central bang smack in the area I wish to move while i was walking down the street I get accosted in said street by the same manager who proceeds to spill my private business infront of everybody in the area I wish to move. He apparently stopped me just for this reason because when he informed me that the property was to be sold at auction and I asked when? where? and is it best and final or incremental? (regular questions for an agent)he informed me that he was clueless and there was no one in the whole company who knew. This should not have been the first time I was hearing this information like I say I'd been in and booked the viewing and attended the viewing and attended the store again and yet they had to stop me in the street to talk about it as they WILL NOT use the phone or help IN ANY WAY. The area manager terrence mcmahon then procceded to give me the ultimatum of remove my bad review or get banned. Being as they did absoltely zero except negatively affect the situation I have decided to just take one for the team and give apparently the first honest unsolicited review. They really really are that bad. If anyone wishes to see how the area manager lied and said my ban from services is for "refusing to wear PPE" (yeah unfortunately for you terrence I film my viewings for later perusal and you can clearly see me asking your employee if it is ok? as well as us being there when she let other people in to view so you blaming me and lying to me saying we refused and that we refused to hand sanitize or that it was us that came at the wrong time are just more lies from a proven liar) If you contact me I will gladly share all the proof so you may see for yourself that they lies. I would not wish Peter Alan on my worst enemy. Completely solicited positive reviews if you read this and then still use Peter Alan you deserve everything you get. Pitiful and beyond a joke.
