Worst Experience with Elliott Lettings - Please Read Before Renting<br>My close friend took house through Elliott Lettings. After they moved out, 2 months later the landlord did a full renovation of the house and put the entire bill of £3000 on them.<br>The most shocking part - NO ONE took responsibility. The Elliott agent who came for checkout told us on the spot "everything is fine". They had taken NO check-in photos, but at checkout they took hundreds of photos just to create a bill.<br>When we asked, one person said "talk to Reposit team", Reposit team said "landlord sent the bill", and the landlord never contacted us directly. Elliott agents did not let us talk to the landlord, did not listen to us, and just kept saying "go and raise a dispute".<br>We were lucky we had some of our own proofs and we disputed it through the deposit scheme. Because they had ZERO check-in proof and only checkout photos, the adjudicator rejected most of their claim and we only had to pay around £300 instead of £3000. They didn’t guide them for anything.<br>When they newly moved in, they gave them NO guidance at all for Electricity and Gas. They didn't know which supplier was at the property, where to sign in, how to set up the account, how to top up / recharge. They had to find everything and do it ourselves.<br><br>When they moved out, closed their own connection properly. Then they started spamming us with messages - "how to do recharge, how to connect gas/power". They didn't even know how their own property's electricity/gas connection works. previous tenants were using it free of cost, they had no records.<br>we would have lost £3000 for a renovation that was not our fault. No agent from Elliott took any responsibility.<br>My advice to all tenants: ALWAYS take your own check-in/check-out photos and videos, and always raise a dispute if you feel the bill is unfair. Don't trust verbal "all ok".<br><br>Very unprofessional and disappointing service.

Requested a booking and received a confirmation email and a viewing reminder. These were automated systems so we also tried emailing and calling and received no response and was unable to get through to anyone on the phone. When we arrived for the viewing, no one showed up. After eventually getting through to someone, they told us the viewing had been cancelled but this was contrary to what had been communicated to us (the day before received the reminder of the booking, nowhere were we told it had been cancelled). Afterwards, Elliot Lee got in contact and apologised and offered another viewing. They also told us that the system issues were being investigated and would be fixed.

From the depth of my heart, I would love to sincerely thank Hassan from the sales department. Earlier today, I mistakenly locked myself out of my flat after work was completed on the front door. Even though I had spoken to someone from the agency at the time of the incident, and was assured of some help. I waited outside aimlessly for 5 hours without my phone, money, proper clothing, or any hope of shelter. Someone else then helped me to contact the agency again, and this time, Hassan who is in sales, and has no dealing with the management of the flat took pity on my sorry situation, and went to the Pinner office to retrieve the spare keys, and then called at my address to open my flat for me. He did this selflessly, arriving within minutes as quickly as he could, though, it was not his responsibility. Such kindness and professionalism should be praised. I've worked with ElliotLee since 2016 as a landlord and a seller. The teams have been great throughout. As a landlord - it was always easy to make arrangements for work, they were responsive to the tenant, and communicated well - they were my service agent for 10 years - I would heartily recommend. Andreea took good care of end of tenancy challenges and needs.<br>And then in recent property sale - the sales team were excellent. Hassan lead the sale, got viewing and offers quickly and managed it well. And was willing to do go the extra mile, as a remote landlord getting to the property was difficult, but when I needed a few things from the property, or simply some checks done etc - the sales team (also local ones Jordan/Georgia) really helped. Competitive sales fees.<br>Shout out to Preyen also - now sales director there - but a key contact over several years helping me with some tenancy challenges - proactive, kind.<br>Summary: I'd recommend EL.

Extremely Poor Service and Highly Concerning Practices<br><br>My experience with ElliotLee Estate Agents (Harrow branch) has been one of the worst I have ever had with an estate agency. Their service is unprofessional, disorganised, and extremely stressful. Communication is consistently poor — messages are ignored, responses are delayed, and their WhatsApp contact is practically useless when serious issues need to be addressed.<br><br>The most alarming issue is their use of Reposit Group. ElliotLee presents this third-party company as a “no-deposit” solution, encouraging tenants to provide full bank details at the start of the tenancy. In reality, this setup exposes tenants to serious financial risk. £1,800 was taken directly from my bank account without my knowledge or consent. They then attempted to take another £1,800 and escalated the situation by passing my details to a recovery agency, causing further distress and pressure.<br><br>When a toilet pipe leak damaged my household belongings, I informed the agency and landlord immediately, replaced damaged items at my own cost, and submitted receipts. No compensation was ever provided. Instead, ElliotLee added further charges for alleged maintenance issues, including a bath panel. When I contacted the landlord directly, he confirmed that he was completely unaware of these charges.<br><br>This experience shows a serious lack of transparency, accountability, and basic fairness. Tenants are left confused, financially exposed, and unsupported. The way charges are handled feels aggressive and unjust, with little regard for the tenant’s situation.<br><br>I strongly warn anyone considering renting or buying through ElliotLee to think very carefully before proceeding. Based on my experience, it is far safer to deal with a reputable local agent than to risk the financial and emotional damage caused by this agency.<br><br>Avoid ElliotLee Estate Agents at all costs.

PLEASE read through the 1 star reviews. Do yourself a favour.<br><br>I have had countless issues to the point I can hardly go through them all. Communication has been disgracefully poor compared to other Agents.<br><br>1. They've owed me money for over a month now. They said it would get back to me in 10 days but have not contacted me since.<br>2. My emails regarding this money have been ignored.<br>3. Contacting them over the phone is impossible because of the awful AI voice machine. It will send you in loops back to the start.<br>4. Out of attempted 8 calls the 2 past weeks, only once has someone picked up. When I explained how their system sends you in a backwards loop, my concerns were dismissed as this faulty system is 'new'... which of course means it can't have any issues.<br>5. The caller then dismissed the money they owe me so I waited patiently for another week for someone to contact me.<br>6. Since then, I have left 3 messages and they have not followed up. My issues remain, long beyond the deadline.<br><br>Overall, they are unreachable and UNWILLING to accept any responsibility over their flaws. I wish I had known all of this before choosing them because this does not even touch on the issues that I had during my tenancy...

I just got my rented house yesterday from Elliot Lee estate agents . I would like to give an honest review about this . I literally lost hope of getting a property coz as we already aware of the prices and how hard it is to find a perfect clean and nice house but fortunately!!! An excellent experience dealing with Mr. Elliot Lamerton and Jack.<br>Where both these individuals have communicated very well in co-ordinating the information with Seller / Buyer Solicitors and myself.<br><br>Elliot has been the key person in facilitating the discussion of negotiation between the seller and buyer (myself) and has intervened at times to ensure that all parties on track for proceeding with the sale.<br><br>Jack always walked that extra mile to ensure that the Seller and Buyer are updated with the details and been that bridge with right from arranging appointments for visits to keeping all parties updated with the progress and also ensuring that the parties complete the paperwork in time and milestones for Contract exchange and completion are on track.<br><br>Will definitely recommend Elliot Lee Rayners team.

The worst Estate Agent to deal with.Be careful with this estate agent.They took my deposit of £475 on a house to rent. Estate agent Shaun told me that he checked that I will be ok if I have CCJ . This was not the case despite explaining that I did declare the CCJ they said I was not entitled to a refund. There should be a law to stop estate agents from deliberately robbing people. I still want my money back it’s unfair to take hard working people money..

We had tried to sell our place with two other estate agents; one a well known internet estate agent and the other a local estate agent. Although we had offers with the online estate agent these both fell through. The communication with both previous estate agents was poor with us having to do the chasing up to find out about feedback and hold-ups. However, our experience with Elliott Lee has been nothing but positive - great communication from start to finish, feedback after viewings and great negotian skills from our estate agent James when an offer did come from through bumping up the offer to nearer our asking price. Would recommend Elliott Lee without hesitation.
