I am sorry this review has taken me so long!.. we finally moved house in the June (2022). Honestly, I cannot recommend Alannah enough. She was our chain going forward, so not even the estate agent that was selling our house (name, I will not mention, but were less than useless). I was a massive pain through this process, because everything seemed to take so long. She went above and beyond, more than anybody I’ve ever met in any kind of business. We would not recommend Taylor Made, Emma is very polite however when speaking to Mandy we were quickly passed through to a gentlemen that could do with a lesson in customer service (but wouldn't provide his name) We essentially found that a property we was interested in had been increased by £500 PCM from £2,250 to £2,750 due to high demand, and then told very abruptly "well do you want to view it or not". This is not how I expect a business to be run, nor do we appreciate being spoken to in a condescending manor. At one point during the phone call, my partner was told "I don't know who you think you are" after questioning why the price was increased. Unfortunately it's companies like this that give estate/letting agents a bad name. AVOID!... Read more

I highly recommend Sam from Taylor Made Estate Agents in Bournemouth. I hope sharing my experience with Sam gives you some insight into why I chose to used him and why I will continue to use him in future… When I originally purchased my home through another estate agents, poor communication almost caused the sale to breakdown. Therefore, when it came to selling my house, I thought it was crucial to work with someone that had experience, a level head, strong negotiation skills and a calm disposition. As I felt this would make both me and the buyer feel at ease throughout the process. Having supplied office equipment in the Dorset for over 10 years, I had a number of estate agents clients which enabled me to understand how they worked first-hand. Sam’s professionalism always stood out and he had all the qualities I thought were important, so I knew I wanted to use him when I eventually came to sell my own home. Even though my house was in Christchurch and Sam’s office was in Bournemouth, I thought the office location was a less important factor because most people find properties on websites like Rightmove or Zoopla these days. I believed it was far more valuable to work with someone that had the right mentality and that could set the right price to generate demand from buyers. I was selling my house in October 2019 when the property market was very flat and there were already several houses on my street that had been ‘for sale’ for a long time without getting sold. However, I took Sam’s advice on the valuation and we got the offer that turned into the sale within a week and a half! Given the flat market, it was not surprising that the buyers first offer was well below the asking price, however this is where Sam’s experience and negotiation skills really came into their own. We ended up with a final offer just below the asking price, which was the figure we had been aiming for. Once the offer was accepted there were further negotiations later in the process, around furniture that was being left etc. which could have easily turned sour, but again Sam’s calm manner and excellent communication ensured it never became an issue. On a personal level, I think Sam is just a good guy with good values and he fully deserves this recommendation.... Read more

The viewings of the property with Allanah were very good. She is very natural and knowledgeable. Most questions we asked had been anticipated and so she was able to give us answers there and then. If not she came back to us within 24 hours by phone or email. I worked with Sam, Alannah and the team at Poole Hill and I could not recommend them higher. Ours was not a straightforward sale/ purchase - there were bumps in the road - but Sam and colleagues were always a great source of advice. I found communication excellent - and really appreciated working with the same team and having continuity of service. It's when you have to deal with other estate agencies with different people picking up the phone every time you call that you really appreciate this. When you are managing a complex chain, you need agents who are on the ball and pushing things forward. In our situation, it was always Taylor Made who were doing this. Sam and staff were very professional and polite in all our dealings with them. We observed the personal touch in the background whereby our purchase and sale went through without too many problems. The advice given on some minor hiccups was sound and sensible. Our house was sold within 36 hours to a cash buyer i.e. from virtually putting the sign up and accepting an offer. Admittedly we did a lot of market research into i.e. area/market conditions/right price which Sam fully endorsed. This enabled us to receive two offers within those 36 hours.
