We were recommended Fahrens by friends who had used them before. Fahrens, especially Zak who we sold our property with were absolutely fantastic. We sold our flat and bought a house at the height of the pandemic in 2020/2021 with a newborn baby, such a stressful time but made less so by Zak. He was always there to answer questions, emails etc and was a great support. All the team at Fahrens are so lovely and never make you feel rushed when calling. They even helped us out when there was a leak in the flat above ours whilst we were on holiday by going to the flat on a Sunday to investigate. I can’t thank Fahrens and Zak enough for everything they did for us at that time. They sent our newborn a lovely card and present when she was born too. Estate agents that go above and beyond!... Terrible experience. Made plans to view a property with Nicholas Belbin. We agreed a viewing time that was convenient and so I made sure my Fiance travelled down from Wales so we could view the property together. On the day of the viewing I emailed Nicholas 1 hour before the viewing saying that we would soon be leaving to meet him. He then replies with "sorry the property has already been let". After my wife speaking with Nick on the phone numerous times and building a good rapport with him, we went to see a property in Comet Way, Christchurch. We were assured by Nick that we would have first refusal as we were first to see, we agreed to take it and didn’t refuse, we then discussed our options, provide books for two years as I’m self employed or gave a guarantor. Upon leaving he assured us that we could move forward with the property if we gave the guarantor details first thing in the morning. Within an hour of getting home we received an email to say he wouldn’t let to us as I didn’t have two years accounts, despite a guarantor trumping all of this, I had also offered a larger deposit or a full year in advance all of this which were turned down. I really wouldn’t trust nick or any of the Fahren staff, Nick obviously is a charlatan and is not a man of his word, stay away from Nick and Fahren letting agents. As a helpful hint to all future self employed tenants arranging their tenancy with Fahren letting agents, if you have less than 2 years accounts they will not accept a Guarantor, 12 months deposit in advance or an insurance based deposit scheme.... Although didn't use their services to rent a property, a family in my block of flats is. They are the noisiest people ever, disrespectful to all other tenants downstairs, jumping and running from 5am till midnight that the things in my flat are shaking, haven't slept properly for 6 months. We complained to Fahren multiple times, and they simply don't care! Fahren promised us that they are not going to renew their contract, and guess what they did!? Put them on a rolling monthly one! Unacceptable, disrespectful behaviour from Fahren! Wouldn't recommend to any landlords. All they care about is themselves, their profit, and definitely not people! Never came across such an unprofessional service.... Read more

Very positive experience on the whole, Julian is very pro active and helpful. Nick was very good during the viewings and didn't pressurise the prospective buyers. Only negative would be the initial valuation being 15k below the eventual selling price, however I decided to up the asking price and this was not met with resistance from Julian and there was no pressure to go ahead with the lower offer for a quick sale. As long as you are confident of what your property is worth and stay strong on the asking price, I would fully recommend Fahren to help you sell. Very reasonable fees compared to competitors.... For 15 years Fahren have been at my side supporting me & my property decisions. I have always had direct access to Nick & Julian but their staff have always been helpful & considerate. as a Landlord its like having my own office team to support me. Have there been upsets along the way, quite possibly one or two but do I remember them or worry - No because that's life and overall I could not manage without them.
