At Taylor's, Gloucester - we were introduced to Jasmine, a letting agent working in this branch. During our appointments with her, Jasmine was always welcoming, patient and supportive (very happy/bubbly person). It was a pleasure meeting her and we can not thank her enough for her kindness and professionalism and knew you had full trust in her. Thank you very much, Jasmine! ???? Her communication skills were fantastic and she is great with autistic people.

I have been a landlord for over 20 years and have used various letting agents over the years. Having experience with large national letting agents to smaller local letting agents. I favour the smaller agents which provide the personal touch, but at the same time I also have experience that larger agents may have a wider reach of tenants database. Jasmine at the Gloucester branch of Taylors has been able to satisfy both of these requirements for me in the recent letting of my property. She found someone within 2 days of appointing her and moved quickly to get the tenants to move in within 2 weeks. Amazing. I can speak to her directly (that personal service) and at the same time has that larger agency touch and reach. Jasmine was extremely proactive and enthusiastic and her work ethics and enthusiasm was why I chose to appoint her. Continue the good work.

We were told by Taylor’s, in writing, certain details that were not correct. This caused delays in the contract starting with the tenant. Therefore , we lost rental income of £400. In addition, the tenants obligations being substandard to what was confirmed by the agent in writing. Therefore this will cost us much more over the term of the contract.
Furthermore, there was time wasted due to several mix ups with keys. They do not have a secure key system. Or at least if they do, it is not managed properly. First we were told they didn’t have our keys, when they did. Then, another time, our maintenance guy was sent away with the wrong keys. Finally, when they were dropped back to them, they removed them without our knowledge and gave them to a previous agent nearby.
No apology or even answers when I emailed.
When I asked about the complaints procedure, no one even asked what problems had occurred , even the regional manager.

Worse agency in 33yrs of renting!
You deal with the local agents to view and sign the contract for the property, The inventory is sent by email after you have moved in which is too late, another dept based in a different part of the country deals with repairs. When you leave you deal with yet another drpt in another part of the country and then the inventory when you leave is done days after you have vacated by yet another dept in yet another part of the country. Inventory aren't cross referenced but the one when you leave is done in far more detail than the one given you when you move in. For example and filthy bathroom with cupboards full of sanitary items and burnt candles missed! Missed but on the leaving inventory dust on the mantlepiece picked up. None of the dept talk to each other and none get back to you either. 18 days after moving out still no response about my deposit. Avoid this agency if at all possible, 33yrs of renting and worse agency I have come across.
Update 20/12/22
Despite contacting them as requested below still no further, 3 serious breaches of contract around the deposit and still no monies released which is breaking the contract. Taking 7 weeks to respond to an email and then not even acknowledging what was said in the email. The arrogance of this company is unbelievable. Nearly 3 months after moving out and still no resolution on the deposit because they aren't communicating. Please avoid using this company unless you really have to.

Sara and her team are a credit to Taylor’s Lettings in centre of Gloucester town! I had been struggling to find a place to live since lockdown due to personal circumstances and was having no luck. Lorna maintained contact with me throughout the last 7 months and worked hard to find me a place. And when she wasn’t able to, the handover to Tash and Sara was smooth. Usually I dread speaking to estate agents because the stereotype is that they’re rude, dismissive and frankly just don’t care. That couldn’t be further from to truth about this team. They’re warm, fun, professional and hard working. I wouldn’t go with anyone else now!

Taylor’s in Gloucester are a shambles.
Their record keeping is poor, having lost numerous documents relating to the property I let. They have lost me a tenant, lost mail, lied about actions they have carried out, shirked basic responsibilities, and breached Data Protection numerous times.
They fail to carry out any of the full management responsibilities they advertise, unless prompted. For example, management of safety certificates, meaning the property could be let illegally, with me being responsible if not obtained. Fortunately, I was aware of this and chased them repeatedly until it was done.
Getting information out of them is like getting blood from a stone.
There is apparently a high turnover of staff and no central record of their properties or adequate handover when a staff member leaves.
Everything is still done by paper, there is no apparent electronic record or means of signing documents. Paperwork often ends up lost and Royal Mail are blamed.
I don’t think the poor service is limited to this office, however. Trustpilot shows a consistently bad service across Taylor’s and its parent company, Countrywide.
Just a really poor company.

As a first time landlord we were apprehensive about the process. Although we had no need to be as Sara from Taylors lead us through the process. She was upfront about the costing and assisted us in obtaining the relevant documentation required for letting. She was very responsive to any e mail queries and taking your phone calls. Our property was listed on Wednesday and rented by Friday! The entire process was professional, swift, stress free and truthfully exceeded my expectations.

As I had bought my house through them 14 years ago and had a good experience last time, it seemed the obvious option to go back. Ian Hansford and his team couldn't have been more helpful again. Professional and friendly they went above and beyond with their assistance helping me keep on top of everything, whether online, by telephone or when I visited the office.
We had a great Launch Day with lots of potential buyers and the house sold in a matter of days and I was kept informed of all the details, from the beginning right through to completion.

Terrible customer service. Enquiring about an errant deposit and put through to Bristol office twice who had nothing to do with the issue. However all credit to the Bristol office who called back to try and resolve my complaint although they knew it wasn't their responsibility. I sent numerous communications and was told the money was 'pending' they would 'speak to credit control and call me back' - never happened. After 30 days of trying I gave up; utterly useless.

Some years ago I rented my property out with Taylors ,dealing with a so called manager Erica Edwards ,what rude patronising, and I don't care attitude ,,,my flat in Quedgeley which was pristine ,beautifully presented was trashed by the dirtiest, trainee school teacher ,who had not cleaned the toilet since her start of tenancy ,broke a lot of furniture ,including a beautiful lamp stand that my now deceased husband had made ,,I should have left it empty really ,but I thought I was helping a student ,,Taylor were surpose to check on property ,and got no reports ,or surport ,she stripped out flooring ,made a hash of the bathroom and bedroom ,in spite of no alterations in the lease ,,,,Taylors were unsimpathetic ,especially the Manager ,laughable ,,,I had to fight for my deposit back ,and still cost me a lot of money to put things right ,including pet damage ,,,and redecorate throughout ,to place on the market to sell ,as it put me off renting it out again ,,,,a future school teacher ,disgusting, god help the children ,,,,,and I had no surport from the agency ,,,,,do not bother ,worse agents I ever dealt with

I had to call and ask the situation - a very pathetic excuse of estate agents and I can’t believe I wasted 6hours drive to view this investment property! Zoe Challinor at Gloucester Taylor's helped me get my first mortgage. I couldn't recommend her more, she was absolutely fantastic. This is the worst agent. I have tried to call many of times but every time they put the phone down on me half way In the conversation. when you do speak to someone they are rude and don't listen to you. I went to pick up some keys for a property of my families and they didn't ask me for ID which concerns me as I could have been anyone.

I felt they beat around the bush they said they can give my partner a mortgage but I spoke to a few and they don't get why they would say that as he can't on his own! Wouldn't recommend anyone going here especially first time buyers

Dreadful aftercare service for tenants.
Numerous times I've called in with questions regarding the release of my deposit, every time they promise to return my call within the hour but never do.
Utterly useless and dishonest company.

used these to sell my house last October. completely useless! never had any phone calls returned, always had to chase them. The only time they bothered to phone me was day of completion.
During negotiations the manager was even trying to get a better deal for the buyer, giving me sob stories!
will never recommend or use again.
The only positive out of the experience was Simon meakin, who handled our mortgage,even then it wasn't 100% smooth.

Once they have your money they are no help whatsoever.
I had to stop paying them for a bit just so they would listen to my complaint!
(I left them about a month ago and am posting this now for fear that it would be used against me while in that tenancy. Yes It really did feel necessary to do so.)

Zoe challinor helped us to get our mortgage. She explained everything in so much detail from beginning to end. Emails were responded to promptly, and when mortgage was nearing to completion and me having melt downs zoe gave me her mobile number so I could text her so she could reply quickly. I was let down by my previous mortgage advisor and was extremely anxious. Zoe put us at ease and was with us every step of the way. I couldn't sleep one night and woke with loads of questions and ended up texting zoe on a sunday morning not expecting her to reply but I just needed to off load and zoe replied putting me at eaze. Zoe came highly recommended to us and im highly recommending zoe to everyone I know who needs a mortgage. I put my offer in on my house and within 4 weeks we had moved into our dream house. Thank you zoe for all you have done for my husband and me. You are the bees knees. :)

It was my first time using Taylor Estate Agents in Gloucester branch and they definitely disappointed me and wasted my time. They have the worst service ever. And think everyone looking for an apartment is on their "beck and call".
I say this because, I arranged to view a property and missed it because I had to attend an emergency board meeting. I called the branch and explained the situation and told them that the meeting would only take 1hr. The agent kindly told me to give him a phone call after my meeting to rearrange for the same day or another day.
I called the office after my meeting and was informed that the agent had gone out viewing properties and would be back in 10mims upon which he will call me back. I waited 30 mins and received no phone call.
Called up to 5 times with the same story saying "he is still out viewing properties and would be back in 10 mins". I called at 6pm and was told the agent had gone home.
Next day 9am I called and was told that the agent had gone on a 2 weeks holiday. I'm like why didn't anyone tell me this the day before. I called 5 times and no one could tell me the agent was going on vacation or book another appointment for another day.
The person I spoke to that morning told me that she can book another appointment but first she needs to check her calender and get back to me. She never did! I went to their office during lunch time and met with the same lady I spoke to in the morning. And all she could tell me was that the property was given to someone else the day before. I'm like excuse me?
So they had given the property away the previous day whilst I called them upto 5 times and no one told me.
She did not apologise or say anything. What an arrogant lady! I was furious at that service it was very terrible.
Anyways, I got a better service from another estate agent and I rented a nice 2 bed apartment in a nice new built area in gloucester.

I have been acting on behalf of my brother in renting his house out. He had a severe stroke last year and is going to be unable to return to his house in the near future, if at all.
Following a conversation with the sales office I was quickly put in touch with Jon in the Lettings office who was extremely empathetic and promised me 'I will do everything to make this as easy as possible for you'. As I live in North Wales this was music to my ears and he hasn't let me down.
It was a pleasure to do business with Taylors and I would recommend them whole-heartedly.
They arranged contractors to get the house rentable and since the tenants have moved in I have been contacted by Laura who will be our dedicated property manager. I feel confident that all our needs will be met throughout our partnership and no job will be too small for any of the staff at Taylors.

Having left Taylors with the management of our property whist overseas for a year, we had nothing but frustration with their poor communication, lack of responsibility for their actions and a lack of duty of care regarding their client.
Upon returning home and the matter came up for discussion with the "alleged manager" Erica Edwards, nothing but a patronising and condescending attitude from her and certainly again, no acceptance of responsibility or accountability for their constant lack of communication and amature management of the whole process.
No doubt the same thoughtful and professional manner will be given to our formal complaint.
