I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received at your office in Southampton.
During my visit, I encountered extremely rude behavior from one of your staff members named Lauma. Her attitude was unprofessional and discourteous, which made my experience unpleasant and disappointing.
I believe that good customer service is the cornerstone of any successful business, and it is very concerning to encounter such hostility and lack of professionalism from your staff. This incident has seriously affected my perception of your company.

Very rude and unprofessional. I wasted my time viewing a property with them. They first shortlist candidates, then, after wasting our time, they mention the landlord's requirements—which they ought to have mentioned earlier. They don't provide virtual tours, even when asked, and they don't comprehend the circumstances of their customers. Will not suggest renting with them at all. I had a really bad experience with one of their agents named Lauma. They don’t even bother to reply back to emails sent to them. Had a really bad experience with them.

Avoid for renting. They drag their feet with maintenance requests and when you move out charge you for “damages” you reported for them to fix. Apart from this, we cleaned the house before moving, but they said we didn’t and showed a picture of a mound of dirt in the lounge. Why would I leave a load of soil in a room? They obviously placed some there to surcharge us.
If you rent with them be extremely cautious and take detailed pictures of everything and keep all records of communication as they are very skilled at scamming people out of money.
The director is very condescending and out of touch with reality. He was extremely rude and aggressive when we challenged their fees. Biggest mistake renting with them. My fault for not taking pictures, but I never had any issues with any other estate agents so I was perhaps naive.

Genuinely posting on zoopla and rightmove for available flats, most agency are just posting flats on those apps for show but when you actually call them, those flats they post are not available already. Yet this agency is different. Very responsive to emails, always answers phone, smooth transaction all throughout the process of renting/buying flats. We recommend Lauma personally as shes always on top of all our enquiries! Now settled in our new flat. Thank you!

From day 1, Franklin Allan have surpassed all of my expectations when it came to real estate agents. The Director and their staff went above and beyond to make our stay in one of their rental properties as comfortable as possible. They were always prompt and professional when responding to email enquiries, provided sufficient notice around routine flat checks, and, most importantly, actually cared about our well-being.
When we were having issues with noisy neighbours or the plumbing, they were always generous with their time, helped us navigate the complexity when it came to dealing with Southampton City Council, and managed to always get a qualified professional over within 1-2 days to resolve any issues around the flat. If we weren’t moving out of Southampton, I’d be looking to rent through Franklin Allan again.

We approached Tim from a personal recommendation and could not have been more impressed and happy with the way he, and his fantastic assistant Linda, worked to secure our sale and purchase.
Our transaction was in the middle of a rather lengthy and troublesome chain of other movers and as a result we have seen first hand how other firms function.
We are delighted that our people were always on the front foot, always proactive, and everything that needed to be done was completed efficiently and right first time so that when delays happened it was never due to our link in the chain.
During times when the actions, and inactions, of some of the people we dealt with drove up the stress levels it was refreshing to experience the calm competence of Tim and Linda and we cannot recommend them more highly.

I used Franklin Allan Legal Services on the recommendation of a freind. I have used them twice now and I in turn, cannot recommend them highly enough. Professional, efficient, freindly and good value. The process of buying and selling a property can be stressful at times but Tim and Linda have done everything in their power to make the process was as easy and bearable as it can be.

Tim was absolutely Amazing, what is normally a very stressful time was so stress FREE! it was unbelievable. I had Tim & Linda recommended to me by a customer of mine & I'm so grateful to her for the recommendation, as absolutely nothing was to much, little or even silly to ask... Tim replied so quickly to all our emails and phone calls and always put our minds at ease that it actually made the whole process so smooth.
Tim & Linda kept us constantly informed on the what/when things were happening.
So if you're moving home and would like a Friendly, Professional, efficient service I would Highly, Highly recommend Tim & Linda.
We as a family can not thank them highly enough or Recommend them enough.

Had to chase them for updates. Left us with nowhere to live and refused to refund our holding fee.
They told us we could move in (to rent) a place where the current owners were moving out, apparently available from Feb. Once we viewed and they told us we could move in we handed in the notices at our current place. Around a week before moving in we had had no updates from them so called, at this point they told us we couldn’t move in at the moment due to the owners having issues closing in their new place.
Every time we contacted each different person we spoke to basically had no idea what was going on or couldn’t give us a date. We both asked our current landlord for an extension and they gave it to us thought we had to pay to put our dog in a kennel over this time.
No update again and had to contact them, when they answered the phone apparently they we’re “just about to call us” and told us that yet again we were unable to move in. At this point we had a week to find somewhere to live. They even said they understood if we chose to go somewhere else.
We went for a viewing with Kings estate agents put a deposit down the same day and moved in the following week.
We waited for a few days to see if they would get in contact so we can tell them the news, of course they did not. We eventually rang them to tell them the news and they told us that they would not be returning or holding deposit in order to cover their costs (not sure what costs as we arranged everything ourselves and chased them constantly, including helping them to set our references up and chasing them yet again when it was done incorrectly)
Did not seem remorseful or sorry, I do not recommend them. I have left it this long as it was upsetting at the time and I did not want to deal with it. But I’m still upset and I’m happy to deal with it now.
I would avoid at all costs. We are £500+ down as a result and all they did was cause us stress and cost us more money.
The manager told us to our faces that he wanted this to be the right place us and that he wouldn’t just “take our money”. As you can see, this was a lie :)
If a house is not “available from Feb”, don’t put it on your website saying so. Even if the people selling their house are your friends. It is not professional.
I could not care less if they are in a selling chain that is not my problem that is yours. We did not sign a contract and we asked almost every day when we could move in and you did not provide us with a response.
Yet again renters being taken advantage of by an estate agent (not very shocking or unexpected) but we did expect better.
This was a truly horrible and stressful experience.

We used the Tim Duggin from FranklinAllan as our conveyancer after being recommended him by a mortgage advisor who had used him previously themselves. Even though the property we purchased was from another estate agents I am so glad we did not use the solicitors who they wanted us to use and instead used Tim.
From start to finish the communication was almost instantaneous, whenever I emailed I had a reply almost straight away answering questions very clearly, phone was always answered too.
Tim's fee's also came up more than £400 cheaper than the solicitors who the estate agents urged us to use.
Tim kept things moving with the whole legal process and at no stage did anything sit with him, the same cannot be said for the more expensive solicitor the seller of our now property used (supplied by the other estate agent), who regularly went silent and had some what of an attitude, but Tim was always super professional and lovely despite the other conveyancer clearly having a bit of an attitude problem.
Also on a final note, a shout out to Tim's legal assistant Linda, she has a cracking sense of humour and made calling up a pleasure, I will happily be using this pair again when the time comes to move in the future.

Excellent and professional service. Franklin Allan are an amazing firm - Tim, Jason, and Linda provided so much help and support with a house purchase and property rental. They gave excellent advice and were always very quick and organized. Being a smaller firm they follow closely every aspect of your purchase, and are always on hand to provide more info when required. I wish I knew how wonderful, professional, and supportive the Franklin Allan team were when my wife and I first decided to rent out our old house! Because it did seem like a very daunting task at first, mainly because the house required a face-lift, and we did not even know where to start! How lucky were we to have Franklin Allan recommended to us by a friend, they helped us through renovation and all the aspects of getting the property ready for tenants and, amazingly, found great tenants to move in the same week the renovation was completed! They made the whole experience as smooth as possible - great positive communication, personalized service, attention to detail and commitment throughout – I do not normally leave testimonials, but in this case, I feel I just have to!

We have recently purchased a property which was shown to us by Jason from FranklinAllan and we could not be happier!
As first-time buyers trying to get onto the property ladder in the midst of the pandemic, we were a little worried about the whole process, especially gazumping, but Jason was honest and straight forward from the start - he made a verbal agreement not to show the property to other potential buyers once our offer has been accepted. The same would apply to us - we have not viewed any other properties and fully committed to this purchase. It was not difficult as we fell in love with the place from the start as it was by far the best property we have seen (and we have viewed quite a lot already)! We have made an offer on the spot which was confirmed and accepted later the same day.
Jason absolutely kept the promise and throughout the process him and his team were very responsive - sometimes felt like I would get an answer quicker from them than from my own solicitor! After 3 long months (delay cause by the building company, not the estate agent), we were able to collect the keys to our dream first home!
Once we are ready to move up the property ladder, Jason will definitely be our first choice for the estate agent! Keep up the good work!

Tim has helped us out with a re-mortgage in the past and most recently, the conveyancing for the sale of our previous property and onward purchase of our new property. We probably had the most difficult buyers that tested our patience to the limit but from the legal side of things, Tim and Linda ensures that our sanity was maintained and they fought on our behalf to get us over the line in the end. Cannot recommend this small but highly reputable firm enough!
