I wanted to share my experience with renting a property through YourMove, as it has been extremely disappointing. I rented Flat 2, 57 Portwood Road, and when I moved in, the house was not clean. I raised this issue with both the landlord and your agency, but nothing was done, leaving the property in an unclean state for two weeks. As a result, I had to make alternative arrangements for my accommodation during that time. Despite my complaints, YourMove did not take any action, citing that the property was managed by the landlord. The landlord, unfortunately, was extremely unresponsive and negligent throughout this process. I find this lack of support and accountability unacceptable. As the agent, I believe you still have a responsibility to address tenant concerns, especially when the landlord is so uncooperative. Now that I have moved out, the landlord is holding my deposit without any reason. I believe that YourMove, as the intermediary between tenants and landlords, should have taken steps to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, this experience has left me unwilling to rent through YourMove in the future. I hope this feedback will encourage you to improve the level of service provided to tenants and to ensure that landlords fulfill their responsibilities.... Read more

I would never let from YOUR MOVE again. They failed us as tenants majorly them and the landlady they were meant to be in contact with. Moved us into a property that was covered in black mould and when questioning it I was called a liar even though it was in the opening inventory they had provided. Being in the property over a year and there were still major works that had to be done. Change of property mangers so I had to explain myself multiple times about the occurring situations. They used the book shelf to hide damp walls, we had the same contractors come out more than twice to just “patch the work up”. Honestly the worst experience of my life letting from them, and to think I was told at the start of my tenancy “it would be a smooth move.” Well it wasn’t! Very good experience with the Your Move Southampton team for a property sale. I interacted mainly with Charlie, Frances, and Samantha. A detailed valuation and explanation of the process was provided together with honest guidance. They arranged property viewings well, providing clear notice and feedback, and later managed communications with the seller and the conveyancer while keeping me up to date on any changes. The team were easy to reach by phone and very efficient, always quick to follow up on urgent items to ensure the sale progressed.... Read more

I have had a great experience of using Your Move in Southampton. Charlie came to estimate the sale price of my house and was really upfront and honest, I felt I could trust him immediately as he was saying his honest opinions rather than what I might want to hear as other estate agents had done. Frances was great througout, arranging my viewing of properties for me to buy and always prompt and helpful. I just purchased my first home through Your Move and my experience with them was absolutely positive. Most of my interactions were with Max, Charlie and Samantha, and they were very friendly and helpful throughout. What I appreciated particularly was that they provided me with detailed documentation on the property when I first viewed it. This made things very transparent and also came in handy later on, when applying for a mortgage, etc. Communication was also very clear throughout the process. They also didn't try to badger me into getting additional products (like a mortgage) from them, which is what I've experienced with some other estate agents. As far as I recall, they offered to help with the mortgage. But when I politely declined, that was respected and I appreciated this a lot. When I sell/ buy in the future, I'll definitely go with them again.... Read more

Beware of hidden charges! At first I thought Your Move was a really good estate agent. However, I realised the goodness was only because they were holding my deposit. During the end of tenancy at the time of releasing my deposit, I was heavily charged for cleaning service. Even the landlord and the quarterly review Instructors said that the flat was kept in a clean condition. When I asked for the cleaning invoice, I was sent a basic invoice just showing the amount saying cleaning charges!. Agent Josephine did not even try to help to speak to the landlord or the cleaning company regarding the ridiculous amount. I felt very bad as even after keeping the flat clean and tidy by treating it as my own, I was charged a heavy amount. I will definitely not be using Your Move again! I trusted Your Move with my holding deposit but they clearly broke my trust. Anyways, money lost can be earned but they have definitely lost a valued customer!... Read more
