I am not sure what has happened to MD, but it seems selling a house via this agent is frustrating, there simply isn’t any pro activeness, it’s all reactive and lack communication.
You have to chase them to find out what’s going on and how far the sale has progressed. And when you chase they react by saying let me look into that and come back, they should be on top of each sell, not let me find out which them seem to take days
Clearly standard have dropped. Years ago they would actively sort things out.
Background-
Currently selling my house via this agent, they found a buyer within 4 weeks ie in July this year, however, so far lost about another 4 weeks just waiting on information for buyers solicitors from this agent.
I was told they had id check delays, then told just an admin issue not a buyer issue. Memos have been requested. and then told It is our extra id checks that takes a little while with credas. etc.
All this took 4 plus weeks. mean time we waited for buyers solicitors, and finally they came back and said they had not been instructed by this buyer. When Agent tried contact then no answer, the agent could not get hold of this buyer, so started the whole process again. Was advise best to put the house back on the market.
luckily we found a second buyer mid Aug, however, its now been 8 weeks, and the progression of the sale is at best slow, I have to keep chasing the agent to find out what is going on, and that itself losses days and they do not seem on top of what is going on, "let me find out" seem to be the phase they use. Surly its in their interest to be on top of each sale and move it forward.

Not good - myself and a friend moved into a flat in Talbot Close recently having been told we needed to move in by end of June (earlier than we wanted), only to find multiple significant issues that had not been resolved. 2 large dehumidifiers had been drying out the walls since before we went to view the place over a month earlier; these were drying out a leak from upstairs. We had been told this work would be completed by move in, but despite this and an earlier move in date than we wanted, the place was not habitable by that point due to the excessive heat and noise being produced by dehumidifiers 24 hours a day, for up to almost 3 weeks after the move in date. The walls had not been cleaned up, there were broken bits of furniture, including a bed that lost a leg after sitting on it once (I’m only 55kg), and some disturbing items left around the house (including lots of someone’s underwear stuffed into a box). The permit had been lost and not replaced, and no one could tell us how we could access the garage clearly marked with our flat number. It was clear the house was absolutely not ready by the move in date. However, we had been pushed into signing a check list to say all was in order and that we received all the move in items and would pay the money, despite expressing reluctance as we had not yet seen an inventory of the place or had the opportunity to even check it. We raised the multiple issues in an email and requested a rent reduction for July due to the uninhabitability of the place, especially as we are doctors who work shifts, and have not yet had a response a week later. We are extremely unhappy with how the whole process has been conducted and the lack of respect shown towards us as tenants. I would not use this letting agency again.

Terrible experience. Couple times arranged flat viewings for potential buyers- didn't showed up or notify about cancellation. Rescheduled, turned up on completely different day then arrangment. Agent unlocked the door and gained unauthorized etrance to the flat whilst I’m half naked after shower- completely violate my privacy. On the top of that tried to argue that viewing is on this day. I had to ask them to leave. No communication skills, lack of professionalism, disorganised. Disgraceful

I felt communication within the branch was very difficult with everyone doing different roles and no continuity for the client. Often I got a voicemail when I tried to ring and when I spoke to a general sales person they always asked how they could help but then were unable to provide even general information.

Lack professionalism. Very poor experience all round. I arranged a viewing and no one showed up, I telephoned and was told wrong day (my fault?). I then visited the branch to try and establish contact with someone; made genuine enquiries on two homes for sale and was told I would hear back. 10 Days later I chased it up and the attitude from the adviser and the branch manager was poor. No apology and tried to tell me they are one of the best; when my experience both now, in 2022 and 2021 was very poor. What an unfortunate set of events.

She was pleasent, clear, kowlegable, helpful, and professional evaluator of my property, together with a competitive fixed price quotation that she offered. Within days my house was on Rightmove. Ms. Narinder Rai in particular is a very pleasent and superbe profesional Consultant. She kept me up to date with phone calls and emails which was really helpful and great. I've used Morris Dibben over many years for renting and selling property. A recent property I sold was very challenging due to both buying and selling solicitors being truly awful.
I honestly think that without Narinder battling on our behalf the sale would have fallen through, she was excellent from start to finish.
Superb communication, kept me fully informed every step of the way and also very, very pleasant, she is a great credit to Morris Dibben.
Narinder was exactly the same about 3 years ago when I sold another property.

I rented a house from this agency based on their online reviews, but I soon regretted it. They deceived me with false promises and delivered a filthy and uninhabitable property. I wish I could give them a negative rating.
They made me sign a rental agreement that said the house was furnished, clean, and had all the appliances working. But when I moved in, I found the opposite. The house was full of mould, the hot water and heating were not working, the kitchen sink was clogged, the bathroom seat was broken, the flush was not working, and the TV, microwave, and blinds were damaged. (See the pictures).
I contacted Anais Collier, who was in charge of letting the property, but she did not help me at all. She told me to deal with the maintenance team. I met the branch manager Samantha and complained about the condition of the house, but she denied their misguidance and even claimed that they were not plumbers or electricians and they will not know about these issues unless I reported them. She said they were not responsible for checking things like hot water or sink drainage. She acted as if they could not see the mould that was everywhere.
They expected me to live in this horrible place while they fix the issues, which they did not do in more than a month time. The only thing they fixed was the kitchen sink, which took them 17 days. I escalated the issue to their customer care team and asked to break the contract. They took three weeks of time to investigate the issue but to repeat the same words which branch manager had said earlier. They said their maintenance team would look into the issue, which would take ages.
They made me to suffer in the property without heating provided and with mould spreading every corner which is a health hazard.
And still, they are not considering fixing toilet seat and flush as a priority thing.
This agency is a scam and a nightmare. Beware of them.
PS: Pictures only representing the mould problem, but not the missing basic amenities like heating, hot water, kitchen sink, toilet issues.

Poor customer service with no regard to the sellers house.
I enquired about a property that has Morris Dibben sign in the front garden and straight away said "oh that's a complicated one" and repeated that a further 5 times through the call. Then proceeded to push me in the direction of another house which was out of the area I was wanting to relocate to and is way out of my budget, after we'd just talked about this information. Clearly not that bothered about selling this property for their client.
I emailed with a few questions shortly after the call as there was no listing for this property on rightmove/onthemarket and nothing on their own website. 2.5 weeks later, with another email chasing them, I've had no response.

Not great.. they make lots of mistakes, repeatedly had to correct contracts, they put a non student in with 5 students telling him he's going to share council tax with the rest of the tenants when in fact he's the only one liable. Then they are not at all helpful in fixing the problem they created.

Chelsea was one of 3 agents that pitched for my business, and I chose Moriss Dibben because of the honest and professional evaluation of my property, together with a competitive fixed price quotation. Within days my flat was on Rightmove and within a few more days I had an over asking price offer from a chain free buyer....what more could you ask for??
The process sadly became complicated and completion was deferred several times, not because of any issues with the flat, but rather incompetent lawyers representing all parties. ...and the only reason the deal completed at all was the thorough determination and contant communication offered by Narinder at Morris Dibben who ensured every aspect was followed up with endless calls, emails , text messages to all parties. .....always with the upmost patience and politeness.
Completion day finally arrived, and after just a couple of weeks I am now enjoying my forever home.
If you are thinking of selling, choose Morris Dibben Southampton, they will serve you well.

My experience with Morris Dibben was a bit of a rollercoaster. Not the best to start with as the previous manager was extremely rude and after only a week of listing our property was pushing us to lower the asking price by tens of thousands! Our stress levels were through the roof. Fortunately we managed to stand our ground and stuck with Morris Dibben as we had an onward purchase with them and really loved the house.
Narinder Rai was the star and managed to make everything happen smoothly after the sale was agreed. We are deeply grateful for all her efforts in making sure all parties communicated effectively and that the chain (4 houses) managed to complete in a very uncertain market. The 5 stars are for Narinder, I think the sales team need to reflect on their strategies and ethics on getting new listings and also on customer service. Thank you Narinder you were amazing!

Be very careful if you have to buy your property through this branch.
They pushed me into organising a mortgage agreement in principle before I was ready because they claimed I had to have one before I made my offer. That is not true and the mortgage adviser confirmed that.
They also claimed the seller had been buying and selling with them for years and was very experienced. That turned out not to be true as they didn't understand how selling a flat works or how buying with mortgage works either.
I was threatened by the seller (through the intermediary) several times, claiming they would pull the sale as it was taking too long.
They promised that work to fix damage had been completed but it hadn't. I also viewed the flat a final time before exchanging contracts and found the balcony doors unlocked and open. The estate agent showing me round said that maybe one of their colleagues left it open. They had no idea how long it might have been open, leaving the flat unprotected from weather and intruders.
Morris Dibben recommended their Conveyancers who they have a working relationship with - Convey Law. Convey Law have been a nightmare to work with. They have charged me for unauthorised work and they are still withholding money due to me - over £2800.
Finally when I picked up my keys once the purchase was complete, Morris Dibben did not check my ID and just thrust the keys into my hand. That was it!

We found the team at Morris Dibben to be extremely efficient, helpful and friendly, both when selling recently and when trying to buy a few years back. I did have to ask for updates a few times when things went quiet for a week or two, but I always got replies very quickly and the replies always showed the team were on top of things behind the scenes. Commission was a tiny bit more than other agencies, however, you tend to get what you pay for in life and in this scenario I'd rather pay a little more and get great service. As a buyer back in 2021, we felt Morris Dibben stood out as being extremely proactive and went above and beyond to try and help, which is why we returned to them to sell.

If you plane to rent from them, you may want to think again. Looked at a flat and pointed out a number of faults prior to taking occupation. Only item attended to was changing a light bulb. Seems all promises until they have your deposit, after that its all empty promises. They dont answer emails or take your call. Very unprofessional!

We sold our property through the agency and we had very positive experience throughout the whole process. Communication in particular was exceptional, from the moment we decided to list until we handed over the keys. I liked the viewing confirmation emails but they didn't have the option to confirm or propose different time online. We always had to call if any changes were required, which was not always possible to be done on time. The viewings were all done promptly and in a professional manner. Morris DibbenA few months ago I put my house in Southampton (let to tenants at the time) up for sale. The staff at Morris Dibben were all excellent and all aspects of finding a buyer were done very well - from the valuation, marketing, arranging and organising viewings while minimising disruption to the tenants, liaising with potential buyers etc. Communication and advice were excellent from start to finish. However, I must single out Narinder Rai for particular praise and my deepest gratitude. Once the sale was agreed Narinder did a spectacular job of liaising between me, my solicitors, the buyers and their solicitors. My solicitors were very un-communicative (I only managed to speak to my solicitor once!) and extremely difficult to deal with but Narinder chased them frequently and effectively and the process was actually completed quite quickly (8 or 9 weeks). Narinder was extremely proactive and a huge support from start to finish - she was on top of all aspects of the conveyancing process and kept me informed of all developments with frequent emails and phone calls. Without Narinder's hard work and support I would have found the process almost unbearable. I have quite a lot of experience in buying and selling houses but I have never experienced such marvellous service from any estate agent in the past. Narinder is a real treasure!

We were moving from Ireland to the UK so we had to rent the house without viewing it 1st, which was worry, but it was unfounded aa Jade in Morris Dibben was very helpful and we were able to do everything via email. All our emails were answered promtly.
The house was exactly as discribed and their inventory list and condition report was very thorough.
Jade met us at the house with key on the day we arrived and there was no problems or hiccups.

The tenants over paid a rental month overlapping the purchase date and it has been more than 6 months ongoing for MD to reimburse the funds due. I am experienced in lettings and I can say for sure to avoid using Countrywide (the company that owns MD) like the plague.

Single worst estate agency. No answer to emails, every little case gets weeks and weeks amount of time. TERRIBLE customer service. We recently acquired a property with the help of Morris Dibben Southampton, they were just exceptional from the viewings up until completion. They were very professional but with a personal touch and you could see the genuine as of everyone you spoke with there.
Our transaction was a bit complex because of a planning permission requirement which took months to be approved and a few other complications. The process was tedious and very challenging but Morris Dibben kept us informed and updated very regularly.
Narinder at Morris Dibben was just unbelievably excellent, she was highly professional but kind and genuine. I thought the transaction would have failed if not for her sole efforts. Narinder engaged with everyone in the process, made sure there was no blockers holding us back, she was just absolutely brilliant. Thank so much Narinder.

Trying to get hold of someone can be very tiresome. When you do finally get through to someone its like Russian roulette, will i get the nice person who wishes to help or will I get the surly, irritable person who ''doesn't have the details of your case, so I cannot answer, let me look it up and I'll phone you back'' They never phone back. Why they can't just bring it up on the computer that is right in front of them, I don't know.
As of this week they wont answer the phone, it just goes to answer phone. Leave message, no response.
My experience is mainly with the rentals department.
All they need to do is draft up a contract, surely they have rental agreement templates on file, its cant be that much of a hardship.
If the rental department is over worked and don't have the time to deal with their clients promptly, this is a failure of management.
and since no one will listen to me from the proper channels I must give them bad reviews. Optics are everything, so until you revise you customer service, I must warm other potential customers of Morris Dibbens disregard for its clients.

I bought my HMO house from Morris Dibben in 2013 and they were fantastic so first choice of agent when I came to sell it this year. The person supposed to be heading up their HMO sales came to the house and gave me incorrect advice about the size of the rooms (advising that they did not meet HMO standard when they did). He then asked me if I wanted them to organise an EPC for marketing the house which I asked him to proceed with. Nothing happened. I had an offer on the property within weeks which I accepted and the very same sales team recommended that I appoint Countrywide to undertake the conveyancing. BIG mistake. DO NOT USE THEM. They were worse than useless. Everything is done remotely, so online through their portal and it is impossible to speak to anyone. Nothing happened for literally weeks if not months. Their level of customer service is zero. I could not believe how slow and ineffective they were. So now we are a couple of months into the sales process and absolutely nothing has happened. I switched to a local law firm to do the conveyancing and halleluja I could finally speak to someone who jumped straight on it and got in touch with the buyer's solicitor. I also had Narinder from Morris Dibben who works with the sales team to help push sales through and facilitate communication between buyer and seller. Narinder was great, so this review is in no way a reflection of her ability (and tenacity). But I simply could not recommend Morris Dibben. The sales team were a bunch of amateurs who did not know their own market and nothing got done when promised.

I made a point of being the first to enquire on a rental. I was led to believe I had a very good chance of acquiring this property but the landlady wanted to wait and 'meet me' have some viewings and choose an application from a selection, which was fine if chosen blind and all the information of each candidate was presented, but by now I wasn't going to be the first to view. I made an application at the soonest opportunity. The application only consisted of name, address and nationality... With this information how is an informative decision on tenancy able to be made without salary, age, history and relevant criteria?? This then opens the whole process up to discrimination upon nationality, looks and first impressions. Obviously I wasn't successful and have lead to feel discriminated against and let down and wondering what information swade her to make her judgement!! especially since this agency told me they felt I was the better candidate. I feel this whole situation is poorly managed with poor processes in place, needless to say there is no way I would trust this agency with my future again.

Communication leaves an awful lot to be desired. Takes several months after reporting to get any maintenance issues sorted, and when you call they say the person who manages the property is unavailable and will call back but they never do. On the flip side, they will give you as little notice as possible when they intend to visit or send a contractor round, on one occasion even less than the mandatory 24 hours for a NON emergency issue.
They lie to the landlord about appliances being tested as working when no such tests occurred.
Poor quality check-in inventory report with low quality pictures and details leaving a lot to be desired which will no doubt cost us upon leaving the property. Would not recommend you get involved with them at all.

You know that 5 celsius temperature increase you feel when you think about the stresses of selling your home -- completely unnecessary. Just go with Morris Dibben (London Road in particular) and they will look after you and the sale of your property from start to finish.
I had been dreading the sale for years. The team respectfully arranged viewings (and were present for all of them unlike other agents) around my busy schedule, and handled this safely and sensibly during the COVID season.
I received regular updates via phone call and email, from cheery agents. If I missed a call, they would place a call closer to finishing hours to provision for the fact I commuted, or provide it in email. The agents were also happy to push solicitors along on both sides, something that is much needed in these situations.
Fees were inline with the industry, maybe a little lower. Service was above and beyond.
The sale of your property will be in safe hands. Thank you Morris Dibben, and Andy in particular.

Today i spoke to a lady in the lettings dept as I am letting out my property.
She asked if I wanted to rent out my property for 6 months or 1 year. I said I would like to let it for 6 months to start in case the tenants or myself were not happy or either of our circumstances change, but most likely a long term let. She then went on to say that with 6 months let the tenant could stay on because of covid etc etc, so I said why offer a 6 months let to tenants then as it would not be valid. It was almost as if she was trying to make me market it for rent for 12 months, or put me off altogether. She remained polite but stern but not making me feel that I would want to use them, or simply she did not want or need the business.......strange in these difficult times you would think. Anyway I told her politely thanks but no thanks and that their company had gone way down in my estimation having dealt with them a few years ago. And that I would also be writing a review on google about them. So here it is and stay well clear but if you are a tenant maybe ok as she may tell you that after a 6 month tenancy expires and you want to stay on but the landlord does not want you to, you can because the landlord cannot get you to leave because of the Covid situation.

Anyway dealing with a very nice lady at Pearsons across the road now.........what a difference. So friendly and helpful and would love to market my property for me.

Can I just say the whole process of finding me a buyer was hassle free. The property was advertised by Morris Dibben in January 2021 and several potential buyers were interested in it. We chose the one we thought had no chain and would spend up the selling process. Morris Dibben staff also helped me find the solicitor that I used in this sale and also kept me informed with all the relevant info and how the sale was progressing up to the end of exchanging the contracts. All queries were answered to my satisfaction. It was a professional job done from Morris Dibben side and I will use them again or even recommend them to other people I know.

When a property we hoped to view sold too quickly for us to view, Morris Dibben called as soon as a similar property was available. We viewed the property with Rod who not only showed us the house but explained the history, told us about the architect and described the surrounding area and facilities. They did get viewings and a 'buyer' was found. From that point on, very disappointed. Unfortunately, the 'buyer' never progressed the sale by paying a search fee. And neither MD nor their associated conveyancer bothered to tell me this. 6 weeks in, after numerous calls and emails, the buyer was chased, at my behest, and I issued an ultimatum. The 'buyer' refused to pay search fees and pulled out. I know buyers pull out... but this was a very naive or uncommitted buyer and I should have been informed much earlier that there was a problem. Instead, I had to work it out myself and manage the end game myself. Had they communicated better, I would have left the house on the market with them. As it was, I concluded this was a weak team, and I took the house off the market till Spring. Half a year wasted.

NEW NORM of taking videos of every rental property (as a result of covid-19) and emailing them over to applicants is an excellent tool to help wheelchair users and people with additional accessibility needs see the information they need to make an informed choice about whether to view and/or to proceed with the property. Two experiences with this company.
1: Mortgage application:
-Set it up with wrong house value
-Managed to get the wrong number of children we have even though we've been in their office 3 times before application
-Our point of contact went on holiday for 3 weeks, leaving us unaware what was happening with our application
-Communication was nil, we had to chase EVERYTHING
2: Viewing of property
-We had Mortgage in principal arranged as discussed with them prior to visit
-Stood waiting for 15 minutes after appointment time, rang bell, checked car park and all around building
-Phoned office asking where they are, said they will phone their agent....They never got back to us!!
If property is sold, just tell us.

Been renting a house for 18 months with them, absolutely terrible service.... They will not reply to any of our emails or calls, even in emergencies such as a gas leak. They are trying to charge us for nothing at all and have no explanation why.

Update 28-4-2020 : today the dispute was closed. The landlord tried to charge for damages that were not caused by us. The agency did not manage to negotiate with him, so in this dispute (it lasted more than 3 months) I felt me against them (landlord and agency). Luckily half of the charges will return to us thanks to an external body.
The UNDISPUTED deposit is still with the agency and regardless the dispute is closed, they say that they need the landlord's permission to transfer me MY money. Seriously?
Terrible management of the deposit. We left our apartment 16 days ago, they do not know yet how much money they would like to take from our deposit and they have no idea by when they will have the quotes. We don't recommend this agency, and fortunately we already "saved" some friends from them!

If you are a landlord, please do not use this agent because they do not have your best interests in mind.
If you are a tenant, you should use them as you will pay cheap rent for an excellent property.
Morris Dibben let my brand new apartment 3 years ago. The tenants were great but the rent was well below market rate. After the first year, Morris Dibben refused to raise the rent. In the second year, I demanded to raise rent by 3% as I saw Morris Dibben let another property in the same block at much lower floor for 20% higher rate. Again, they refused. I lost thousands of pounds in rental income each year!
It is my property. How dare they refuse to raise rent on my behalf?
After my first tenants moved in, I did not receive any copy of lease documents or full management contract by MD. I had no idea what Morris Dibben had signed on my behalf.
Countrywide is the property manager which is another reason why I don’t recommend this agent. The property managers of countrywide have no idea where my property is. They did not pay annual property visit unless I asked them to. My other agents pay quarterly visits.

Countrywide conveyancing are a complete and utter shambles. At every stage of the process they made errors causing problems to the point where both myself and the buyer were on the verge of walking away from the sale.

18 hours - that is the time it took Morris Dibben to sell our house, from the evening it first went live on Rightmove to the time Mike (Gilbert) had agreed the sale the following morning. Not a bad start. And for the full asking price too. And no, it was not undervalued for a quick sale - we were very happy with the selling price.
The after sales service was just as impressive, with Stephen (Hendry) providing the most important thing of all - a constant stream of written and verbal communication at every stage, however major or minor the issue, right through the process to the exchange of contracts.
Another key point - whenever I visited the branch in person, it didn't matter which one of the numerous staff I first encountered, they all knew about our sale and were uniformally helpful and friendly.
All told, a terrific and faultless service.

Just completed on buying a property through Morris Dibben. I had a very positive experience with Stephen Henry throughout the whole process. Stephen was always available when I called and responded to emails very promptly. He showed great leadership chasing all the loose ends and gave me constant updates of progress and when I needed to do something on my side. Buying a house is rarely easy, but Stephen helped me through the entire process.

An excellent quality of service. The staff at Dibben's turned the daunting prospect of selling a house into a pleasant experience. From the moment I placed matters in their very capable hands they were all unfailingly pleasant, professional and very attentive. I was never in any doubt that my best interests were being well served at all times, that they always did their utmost to expedite the whole transaction through all its various stages, kept me fully informed as to progress and it was personally extremely appreciated that I had little to do except sit back and wait for their timely updates. A buyer was quickly found and the whole process completed satisfactorily quickly. Quite frankly I cannot think of any way in which the service they provided could have been improved.
I would have no hesitation at all in highly recommending this company to others.

Very impressed, had been tempted by Purple Bricks prices but glad we stuck to Morris Dibben. We have just sold our house and Morris Dibben were acting for buyer and seller. Both processes ended up being unexpectedly prolonged due to circumstance beyond our control and Stephen Hendry was amazing, determined and always professional in dealing with it, we would not have completed either sale or purchase in time without his persistence and help. I'd like to say I'm rating Morris Dibben four stars primarily on my experience of dealing with Stephen Henry who was absolutely fantastic. Our buyer's solicitors were beyond inept and drew out the entire process to the extent that we considered giving up at one point.
A close friend in the Southampton estate agency scene recommended the company and our valuation was a good experience. On a subsequent visit to the branch we were unceremoniously pied by the same agent who went out of his way to avoid us. Sadly we received no help in the way of selling advice. When we informed them we had made an offer on our new home we were chastised as if we were naughty school children: "When this falls through for you, you'll have learned your lesson" (we now live in the said abode).
We continued to receive calls and emails asking if we were still interested in homes sold by Morris Dibben for weeks after informing them we had had an offer accepted which was slightly annoying.
Once the process was up and running though, Stephen was as efficient as he was allowed to be and communication on his part was excellent. At several stages it felt as he was more frustrated by the drawn-out process than we were. If it wasn't for him, we would rate the company two stars but feel he carried them and anything lower than four stars wouldn't do him justice,
We wre told that due to their market share, Morris Dibben would sell our home and after a fair amount of pressure and admittedly reluctant dropping of the price they did just that.

We bought our house through Morris Dibben on London Road about 16 years ago and thought they were very good, so we chose them to sell it for us when we decided to move this summer and we were pleased we did as they were again very good, all the way from the initial valuation and marketing in early August through to progressing it to exchange at a good price by the end of October. Stephen Henry in particular was excellent throughout the progression stage, keeping things moving and keeping us up to date with everything that was happening, and Mike Gilbert and Lauren for the valuation and marketing too, but everyone we dealt with at Morris Dibben throughout the sale was very good. Would definitely recommend them.

The team of negotiators are excellent, knowledgeable and professional. In particular Christina Whiting, Senior Sales Negotiator/Sales Progression is absolutely second to none and I know that my last two somewhat difficult purchases would have fallen through without her invaluable experience and skill. Morris Dibben were agents for our vendor. We were in a chain with a number of older folk having successfully sold our house . There was a good deal of behind the scenes work to be done encouraging these other folk and their solicitors through the various hoops and jumps of house moving. Stephen Henry did an excellent job moving everything along and received special praise from our solicitor for his aptitude in this area. When pressure needed to be applied Tina did an excellent job in doing this in a clear but gentle fashion.
We had a good experience selling our home through Morris Dibben 15 years ago. I would definitely recommend their current team to any potential vendor.

Myself and partner have just completed the sale of our property through Morris Dibben in London Road Southampton. We cannot thank Stephen Henry enough for the hard work and effort he has put in to make this sale happen.
From the moment the sale was agreed with Mike Gilbert the manager, we were informed of all developments and updated accordingly by Stephen, right up to the day of completion. Our purchasers even expressed their gratitude towards Morris Dibben and specifically pointed out Stephen Henry, stating he was the star player who made their purchase of our property happen, even though they were selling through another agent.

Very poor service for the lettings me and my girlfriend handed over just under two thousand pounds gave us a moving in date when it came round paperwork weren't sorted and now fighting to get our money back can't move into property till we have the money very bad service would never go with them again trying to call the lettings office but now saying invalid number think we might have to take them to small claims court to get our money back very unprofessional

Had an outrageous experience with Morris Dibben Letting agency. After viewing a flat, the next day I contacted the Morris Dibben asking them to speak to the landlord of that property and try to negotiate the price. The person I spoke to, Toby, had quite an aggressive attitude towards me. I explained to him that I am ready to sign the contract for this property and pay the deposit immediately if the monthly rent amount can be reduced. Toby refused even to try to speak to the landlord, claiming that the landlord is their client and they must protect their interests - by reassuring me that he is sure that the landlord won't agree to my proposed price. Who am I in this situation then??? Who will protect my interests??? The agency is asking for £600 agency fee per person when signing a contract - this is one of the highest agency fees in Southampton. Am I not their client? Am I supposed to pay £600 of agency fees and not even be treated appropriately?
The agency could have tried asking the landlord to negotiate the price. It's their job to provide communication between me and the landlord. Otherwise, why do we need an agency that has enormously high fees and refuses to do its job...?!
I really hope that the landlords who cooperate with Morris Dibben will see this review and will draw appropriate conclusions.

Doesn't even warrant 1* but unfortunately you can't give 0. Absolutely awful customer service! Refused our holding fee for 2 different properties and then let those properties out to offers made after ours. Would never attempt to let a property through them again.

Horrible service two properties we liked and tried to put holding fees on have been told we are not allowed and then someone else takes the property! Been discriminated against because my fiancée is pregnant and they are wary of using guarantors! Poor poor service! Won't be using them again.

Very very poor customer service. The Portsmouth office is full of very unresponsive people who are insensitive to our needs when we were tenants. I am not sure whether this was connected to the fact that we are foreigners but I must say the experience was awful and I would never recommend Morris Dibbens to anyone! Very very poor service, not what I had expected of them!
