I'm deeply DISAPPOINTED with my experience at this agency and compelled to share my story. Despite my initial optimism, I'm currently facing the possibility of LOSING over £9000, encompassing my deposit and the remaining rental fee, which remains unpaid two months after my tenancy's conclusion. My advice? Think twice before choosing this agency.
Our journey to rent an apartment was fraught with challenges, including daily visits due to constantly rescheduled viewings. Eventually, my friend and I managed to secure a lease for one year, with a six-month break clause, paying the full year's rent upfront.
Upon moving in, we were greeted by an apartment in disarray, complete with remnants from previous tenants and two DIRTY sofas. When we requested a cleanup, the agency insisted that it was our responsibility, as we hadn't specified the need for one in our contract. (Fine, it was my fault to did not list it in the contract.)
The maintenance team proved to be purely for show. Immediate issues, such as non-functional light, closet doors that wouldn't close, were dismissed as my responsibility and persistently IGNORED despite numerous requests for assistance. Attempts to reach out to the maintenance team and my property manager were met with SILENCE, no callbacks, or any form of response.
The agency's lack of communication and accountability has been profoundly frustrating. In dire need of my deposit and rental fee, I've called multiple times only to be met with excuses for my property manager's absence, ranging from lunch breaks to illnesses. It's almost inconceivable.
This experience serves as a stark reminder to carefully evaluate your options before committing to this agency.

We arranged our first ever mortgage through George Jones at the Southampton London Road branch of Fox & Sons. George could not have been more helpful. He drew us a big diagram of the process which was very illuminating and reassuring. He was very good at getting messages between us and the solicitors, going above and beyond his official duty. Excellent service! They organised professional photos and I accepted a bid within five days of my flat being advertised. Since then Emily D has been fantastic chasing solicitors and providing a link between me and the buyer. I would highly recommend Fox & Sons, you are in safe hands with Emily for sure!

I instructed Fox & Sons following having been on the market with Connells... I wish I had done more research as they are in essence the same company working under a different con, I mean name. (Please see my review of Connells)
But against my better judgement I thought I would give it a go as I am a strong believer in second chances
We were initially directed and sweet talked into property auction however within 24hrs I contacted the team and advised them I wanted to seek a private treaty route before considering auction as we did not need a quick sale, there are no structural issues, the property can be mortgaged, has a great lease length (all the alarm bells associated to properties taken to auction did not apply)
The team were happy to oblige this and credit to May Flemming and Aaron Cassidy who were both great. May was overseeing the property and called me weekly for updates and marketing etc
Unfortunately, unbeknown to myself, the auction company who were initially considered were also marketing the property at £20,000 less then what was being sought...
I appreciate the market has been pants but I cannot imagine how the property being marketed at £20,000 less on an auction site must look to prospective buyers/investors... I certainly wouldn't make enquiries on anything other than to know when that auction went live!
Pretty disappointing really. Won't use them again if ever it's needed, certainly will be hesitant to purchase a property from them too.

My partner and I successfully bought our house and mortgage through Fox and Sons last week. We were recommended their Mortgage Broker George Jones by the sales team when discussing our house preferences.
George is AMAZING!!! As 1st time buyers, he first went through the whole buying process and key stages to focus on initially. He explained everything so clearly throughout the process, was available anytime and provided regular updates. He was meticulous in finding us the best mortgage and insurance rates. He listened carefully to our needs and never tried to convince us into spending more. George is extremely professional, honest, trustworthy and very skilled at his job whilst being very approachable and friendly. He really got to know us as a couple and went above and beyond his job role. We would recommend him to all our friends and family and are sure that in 2 years time he will find us the best rates to remortgage. Thank you so so much George and the Fox and Sons sales team for making the stressful process much easier even when things looked like they would crash at the last minute.

I would like to pass on my appreciation to the team here in Southampton for their first class assistance in my search for property.
May, the agent that handled my enquiries was so helpful. May had an in-depth knowledge of all of the areas i that i liked at and of all the properties that she guided me around, answering all of my queries as we went around.
May is a credit to the branch.
Tye same is to be said for barron my mortgae advisor. Arron tok ok the time to thoroughly research my requirements and provide me with a very appealing set of options.

Very bad experience and waste of time, I spend a lot of time for getting a response via email after that i have to gone the Southampton office for getting the mail responses, they only check once we reach in the office , And holding deposit has been not released because of un reasonable issues , they make delayed and trying to make money from us.
