These were the worst letting agents I have unfortunately met in my life. They were unprofessional and rude at best, and at worst engaged in horrible and borderline harassing practices during the end of tenancy process. If you find the best place that matches all your criteria, but if it's managed by these guys, think twice. You will definitely find a better place. But once you get into a contract, these guys would guarantee it to be an unpleasant experience. And if you still choose to bite the agonising bullet, please for heaven's sake stay away from Amairah. I am surprised she still has a job there. A consistent failure of a communicator, with zero empathy for anything that remotely resembles a human problem. At the end of tenency, retain a lawyer. Their business model runs by factoring in one extra month's rent, since they will for sure claim the entire deposit, even if you leave the house in a better condition than you found it in. They will threaten to sue, stand your ground.... Read more

That’s a great agency,very large list of properties,all information provide about . Many pictures disposed at the windows but you can have à chat very easily with the staff and you can be informed all the details about the ones that you may like. Poor customer service from lettings side. I am constantly having to chase up regarding a rental property next door to me! Their slow , pretty much non existent responses to my emails means I have now lost the contractor working on my garden!! 4 months they’ve had to speak to landlord regarding THEIR trees stopping me replacing MY fence ...glad I’m not a landlord or renter with them!... People usually tell, if they have bad experience... I'm going to be the same, unfortunately. We are looking for a property to rent. We had a viewing. The lady didn't even bothered to reply, or call as back. It's really unprofessional. I would give zero star, if that would be an option. This is not even a service!... Read more

Cannot recommend Mark and his wonderful team more they have guided me through a very stressful few months. A word of advice dont go near HAART TAYLORS OR PURPLEBRICKS unless you want heartache and grief. Their letting side at Stevenage has terrible customer service. Both Amirah and Chole sent me letters keep saying putting CO alarm is legal requirement in every house (which is not true unless it has open fire as heating source). They also told the tenants before I agreed to out one on also claiming legal requirement. But both me and the tenants said saying it is not a legal thing and even though the tenant does not want to have one. Chole told the tenant it is ME want to put one up. Then I received a letter they written on behalf on the tenant saying she wants the CO alarm. This is lying to both sides. And when I bought the alarm and sent it to the tenant, I sent an email to Amirah which she has never replied to me or passed the message to the tenant. I didn't find out until my plumber mention this issue to me and I had chat with the tenant directly over the phone. I left a message to their office and didn't receive any reply until I chased up again 2 days later. The reply email I received from Amirah is so rude that I believe she think she is the queen and everyone will have listen to her. Of course she never mention why she not passing the message to tenant and did not apologies. If you are a landlord and want to rent your property out, don't use Geoffrey Matthew. that's my warning.... Read more

Terrible! My fiancé rented an apartment from them in Great ashbby. Their service was bad, especially their attitude sucked (the agent is called Amairah, I dunno why her manager doesn't get rid of her. Her manager actually had a very good customer service but her attitude stinks) They were very slow at fixing stuff (my fiancé didn't have proper hot water for almost 1 month; they didn't fix the leaking shower head and a couple broken stuff until one month before my fiancé moved out????It's a joke). Now they are trying to rip off my fiancé for deposit, saying they needed to paint the whole hall and the whole room because of some minor marks on the wall and they wanted my fiancé to professionally clean the whole apartment's carpet because of 2 small stains???? Also they tried to charge 100 pound for extra cleaning because of some water stains on the shower head and 1 tiny stains on the hob. All the furtnitures belonged to my financé and she only lived there for 6 months. I mean how dirty it can be. Even when those agents inspected the apartment 2 weeks before she moved out, they commented that my fiancé kept the house in a good condition. It's pathetic really. If you want to be ripped off, get wind up by super slow service, and get treated in a rude manner please go ahead with them ????... Read more

Poor customer service!! Would not recommend to anyone. Called them several times to book a viewing for a house & they were like, we'll inform you once we get hold of tennant. Couple of weeks later, property is not available any longer, didn't even get a chance to view it. Their excuse was we had your phone number wrong. I called you guys million times from same number and they couldn't write down correct phone number!!!... Read more

I sold my property through Geoffrey Matthew a few months ago and have nothing but praise for the team. They always made time for me and kept me informed at every stage of my sale. I had lots of interest and lots of viewers. This was the first time i had sold a property, so i was very unsure of procedures. If i had any questions or concerns the guys there had no problem in helping answer my questions.
