After using several local “ Recognised “ estate agents and being let down on a number of occasions I was recommend Butler Residential by a friend who sold previously. From the day I met Barry to the day we competed he was there overseeing each and every step! Without going into too much detail, Barry went above an beyond initially working on my behalf only to them take over from buyers estate agent to make sure the entire chain held together. There was a number of occasions where we all felt like it wasn’t going to happen and Barry kept it professional, honest and done everything he said he could and was able to do - Consisting of driving from site to site to make sure contact was made, speaking to everyone’s solicitor to make sure the chain was in tact and where it wasn’t he tried his upmost to fix it - not just for me but for everyone! I can honestly say I would never had moved without Butler Residential - nor would anyone else in that instance. Barry went above and beyond, asking for nothing in return. I can’t thank him enough. Selling a house can be incredibly stressful and the estate agent business is one that is full of false promises and distrust. Barry and his team at Butler Residential break this pattern and our experiece with them was nothing short of perfect. Compared to other agents we have dealt with in the past, Barry understands your personal situation. Seeing the process top down and taking ownership of your full chain rather than just looking at the short term/quick sale, he is a trusted figure in turbulant waters. The photos of our house were excellent, to the point they shamed every other estate agency advert in the region - he included video tours and a virtual tour to give our property the maximum visibility and we had excellent results because of this. We listed our house on the Tuesday and had 15 viewings booked in by the Thursday. After 5 viewings we had 4 offers on the house and had agreed a sale within 48 hours of first listing the property. I am convinced that this was as a result of Barry's expertise in listing, marketing and managing the sales process with buyers. On top of the above, Barry managed to give us detailed feedback on the offers we had for the property which allowed us to make an informed decision on who we would like to sell the house to. With an excellent neighbourhood and neighbours that we are proud to call friends, we wanted to make sure that we not only sourced a buyer that suited our timescales and our needs, but one which would work with the local area and continue the positive community spirit that exists on our street. We were first time buyers and Barry could not have been more friendly and helpful to us! From the beginning he encouraged us to ask any questions we wanted to ensure we understood all the steps involved and so we didn’t feel pressured. It was so helpful to us as first time buyers to have someone who we felt we could trust and who ensured we didn’t feel silly asking those questions. After we had our offer accepted he kept us up to date and guided us as the sale progressed both through the Butler Residential website and WhatsApp. This also meant we could contact Barry at any time. He even answered and helped sort picking up our keys when he was isolating with Covid! He has been up front and very honest throughout this process and I couldn’t recommend Butler Residential more. Hands down the best estate agent I've ever dealt with. For this transaction I was the buyer, and it might sound strange to leave a review as a buyer rather than seller, but Barry has given me a first class service. Communication has been great, and not only has he got involved to keep pushing things along, but he's liaised well with solicitors and generally made the process much more pain free than it otherwise could have been. I've ended up visiting the property half a dozen times during the sales process, to inspect things or measure up, and Barry has patiently and without complaint facilitated this. We viewed a beautiful property with Barry recently and I wanted to leave a review as the experience was excellent. The photos of the house we viewed and the description attached stood out to us - the content was clearly chosen and crafted very carefully in order to attract a buyer. We've read hundreds of house listings in the past year and this one was something very different and a little bit special, even going to the lengths of adding a new photo of the house after recent snow. The viewing itself was great - Barry clearly knew about the house in detail and answered all of our questions, adding interesting history and background to structural details. Again, we've viewed with other agents and found that they don't always know the answer to even simple questions. The pace was really good too and we had space to look around in quiet as well as accompanied. We chose a similar size of firm (small, family run) to sell our current property as well and i think this is the best way to go as the larger firms just don't seem to work anywhere near as hard. We would very seriously consider selling through Butler Residential in future if/when we make our next sale (once we've managed to move across to Cambridgeshire!).... Read more
