I first dealt with Hamlyn Smith when I purchased my property. From the first call to arrange a viewing, through the negotiations, and finally the purchase, I was so impressed with both how professional and personal this was dealt with.
There is nothing that would be too much trouble, and any question or query was dealt with immediately.

I couldn't recommend Hamlyn Smith highly enough as a selling agent. Our chain was long and complex with a few curve balls thrown in along the way. Jerry and Toby still managed to hold everything down and deliver a completion in a calm and composed manner.
Always prompt to answer questions and provide updates, we never felt out of the loop.

One of the most refreshing things about Hamlyn Smith estate agents is the lack of the sadly usual, & irritating, estate agent’cy attitude & demeanor! Their authenticity is real, which is also unexpected in the world of fake-interested and over enthusiastic gushing estate agents… How many young (predominantly) men have said to us ‘Amazing!’ when introducing ourselves on the doorstep of a house viewing… As if we’d made their year merely by turning up for a pre-arranged appointment!
Jerry & Toby are such a breath of fresh air in the estate agency world. Easy to discuss all aspects of selling, & buying, with, and with a genuine interest in your situation. I initially started liaising with Hamlyn Smith when I saw their sold boards popping up throughout the village, at first, I had concerns about instructing an agency based in Hove, but once they evidenced where my buyers would be moving from, it made complete sense. From the initial valuation to the day of completion, the communication and service levels were excellent.
Their valuation was 15% higher than the local agencies, but Toby was confident that their modern approach to marketing, and London buyer base, would make all the difference. I am so happy I decided to appoint Hamlyn Smith, after a successful open day and competitive bidding scenario, they were able to agree a sale above our expectations. They are a new agency (but do have a lot of experience in the property business) and from the start I was impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and can-do attitude. At no point in the process of selling my property did I feel out of touch with what was happening; and they answered all my questions to ensure that I was fully aware of the process. I was particularly pleased when Jerry quickly sorted out a problem with my solicitor who was being particularly pernickety at one point.

These guys are the absolute best in the business, couldn’t recommend them highly enough. A family member was looking to sell their home and had gone to some of the usual suspects around Sussex. They’d all undervalued her house and offered unattractive rates. Hamlyn Smith stepped in and not only did they give a valuation fitting to the property but they promised to get her the best possible deal they could. They went above and beyond, secured a ridiculous number of viewings within 48 hours (around 15 I think) got 5 offers and managed to get her more than the asking price.
They were very personable, friendly and engaged throughout. This didn’t feel like a business transaction, it felt like something they really cared about.
Amazing lads and I’ve already tasked them with finding my new home. Seriously, if you go with anyone else for your selling or buying needs you’ll be making a huge mistake!
