My experience is based with the Penryn office, I could not find the review option for this particular branch.

I was using this agency since around 2010, they where brilliant when i first used them but since the level of service provided has dramatically decreased (i don't know if this is because of new staff?)! The way in which I was treated in the end was appalling. As I do not live anywhere near my property I let out and trusted heather and lay to manage the property and trusted the inspections they did on the house. Our contract came to a termination (due to the fact I was very unhappy with how I was spoken to by Jackie, and how herself and the previous estate agent managed my property). The inspection list that was emailed to me failed to mention dents in my bathroom door, my bedroom window handle which had been completely snapped off (and balanced by the tenants on the latch), my carpet had a chemical burn where the previous tenant had tried to clean paint of my light beige carpet with what i can presumably assume to be white spirit (and to note the previous tenant to this had the carpets professionally cleaned before leaving the flat, much to the disagreement of Jackie). Now I appreciate that some work had to be done to the bathroom floor, the scale of the damage was not clearly explained to me until the day after the last inspection (on which I requested Jackie to get me a quote for a tiler to do the floor). Now the inspection which was done the day before said the flat was fine for new tenants to move into (noting I didn't push for a deadline for the new tenants to move in). After Jackie had gone back to property contacted me saying the property was in-fact not suitable to move into and I had to sort it out asap as the tenant was to move in - in a matter of days and proceeded to say ' we recommend leaving it at least two weeks between tenants' in a very unfavorable tone..... well my question is if this is what you recommend, why on earth did you not do so? and proceed to speak to me whilst at work with a tone in which felt that I was being spoken to like a child!! and to put the cherry on the cake to quote a large amount for the works, on which wasn't even checked by herself... quoting for works that didn't need doing i.e. new shower screen?? (another side note on speaking to the contractor recommended by heather and lay then informed me he hadn't quoted for that which I then informed him I was looking directly at the quote which was sent to me by heather and lay which stated otherwise, yet he refused to change price?... should heather and lay be recommending guys like this in the first place, surely they know this looks bad on them as they are the ones 'Recommending' them). Safe to say I got the work done for a fraction of the price. The fact that I paid for management I certainly do not feel this is what I got. Now even though heather and lay use an external company to hold the deposits, they should of done the inspection better as I did not get any money back for any of the damages aside from replacing a bush in which the tenants had cut down (again another side note... heather and lay did not inform me of this, on one of my visits to Falmouth I noticed my bushes out front had been hacked down.... surely this is not only obvious but should of been put into the inspection. It was lucky I came across this!). Safe to say this whole experience has taught me to make sure to do my research before trusting another company like this! Make sure to ask the right questions and never 100% trust the person managing your property. At the end of the day I am just as much a customer as a tenant is, and when dealing with customer service I would expect this to stay at the same level and not degrade over time as it has now felt like. If you choose to work in a customer faced industry then you should also expect to have a level of courtesy which should be provided to your customers! Otherwise your in the wrong job. Very disappointing.

Unhelpful .. Once they have your deposit they won't return it lots of lame excuses until you challenge them. My landlord discussed with them..
