I went through a lot before I got my deposit with these people. They are not professional at all. You have Paul the manager who is rude and arrogant! Then there is Danny Evans who I dealt with from the start, this man has no good manners at all. I have never met a man that talks down upon people. He had agreed not to give me any amount from my deposit without consulting me about the damages. Only to say he wasn't working at Homepoint when I moved in. I made numerous phone calls being told all sort of lies. To be precise it took me almost a month to get my deposit. Please stay away from this estate agent. These people spoil it for the other staff members that are polite and humble, Simon is one of them. Perhaps he might want to teach Paul Patel and Danny Evans all about good public relations... This agency is a NIGHTMARE. Lies lies lies lies lies - all the time. I've been Asking for repairs as I literally have waterfalls on my walls during the rain. They only care for payments. Extractor awaiting repair 18months. Hob stopped working 4months ago. Window in bathroom fall apart recently. AVOID FOR YOUR SAFETY!... Read more

Like many people who have posted here this company are totally unprofessional ..I as a landlord have had problems with them not paying rent in to my account..during May I phoned Walsall lettings a total of 22 times' was promised calls back, emails not once did I receive anything. I called six times to speak to the manager Mr Patel but miraculously he was never there but I was told he would call back. He was either unaware of my calls or just ignorant in the way he treats his customers. At my first opportunity I'm off..fed up of dealing with liars especially the woman who initially answers calls... Read more

I was duped in to signing a guarantor form for a tenant. I was only shown 1 page by the tenant to sign and was told it was a reference form only. I spoke to a lady at their Walsall office who explained to me that the form I was signing was just as a referee and that the tenancy was for 6 months only. If the tenant could show they are a good tenant then they would renew for another 6 months. At the time I had just lost my Father and was suffering from severe disability, mobility and depression. I was on a lot of sedative medication including medicinal pharmaceutical opiods as well as anti depressants. A couple of years down the line I received threatning letters from homepoint demanding payment for unpaid rent by the tenant. I called them to ask what this was about and they told me I was a guarantor for the said tenant. I advised them that I had no knowledge of this. I asked for evidence and they sent me the paper I had signed along with other pages. I told them I had not seen the extra pages before this. I explained to them that I was duped in to signing this at a vulnerable time but they took no notice and gave wailed threats over the phone and were extremely rude. I do not have any contact with the tenant since they asked me to be a referee for them. I have now taken legal advice as my health has improved a little. Please do not trust homepoint. For whatever reason I can only guess bonuses will their employess lie to you to get a contract in place for a sale etc. Safe to say what homepoint and the tenant did was illegal. And they do not have a leg to stand on. When I received the first letter demanding payment I asked homepoint to immediately cancel the tenants tenancy and to not renew it as I will not take responsibility. Their response which I cannot believe was you are responsible until the tenant leaves. We will not be cancelling their tenancy. Even though they failed to pay the rent. Do not go to this estate agents stay away. I will be posting warnings about homepoint throughout social media to make people aware of their dirty underhanded tricks.... Read more

Hi, they trap you with lie and then do not help you at all, they said property will be refurbished and everything will be ready soon, but on the day i was moving , nothing was changed in property. i am fighting and going to sue them through citizen advice bureau walsall. anyone need proof or want to see property please come to 4 blackthorn road, ws5 4nf and see property yourself. avoid them anyway and let others know about it... Home Point failed to protect my deposit appropriately for over a year during the tenancy. At the time I discovered this and queried it, I was provided nothing but deceitful and contradictory responses. Home Point eventually protected my deposit and returned it at the end of the tenancy, following numerous emails to them. I feel Home Point are rogue and operate in an unprofessional manner. They charge unfair fees. Such a poor service.... Read more

Homepoint was massively good to me and my family, they had treated me with respect and believed on us to be one of their tenants. I'd recomend them as Daniel and Paul had given to my family and I the opportunity to begin our life in the UK. If you are a good tenant they will be an excelent estate agency to you.... Read more

Really disgusted with the service received after, what we thought, was a fairly smooth 2 1/2 years as tenants ( although slow at sorting none urgent repairs). When it came to the end of the tenancy they didn’t turn up for check out inspection ( despite me speaking to them on the morning about it). Didn’t return any calls about this either on the day whilst we waited at the property for over an hour and a half for them or for a week after the supposed check out date. They then tried to say due to this we could be charged extra rent!! This led to issues with the landlord and deposit being returned - we tried to open a dispute to get our deposit back to be told Homepoint had moved our deposit protection without informing us in 2016!! - despite several requests they would not tell us who they had moved our deposit protection to. It took a formal letter of intent to start court action, plus 4-5 phone calls per day citing legal advice to eventually get our deposit back. By the time the cheque cleared we had waited over a month ( instead of the 10 days) for our deposit back and still do not know if they actually protected our deposit or not ( which is breech of the deposit protection laws so we may still make a claim through court ). Paul runs both Walsall and Stourbridge offices and uses this as an excuse to be continually unavailable - he also stated numerous times our deposit was being sent out and it was not. He says one thing to the landlord and another to the tenant. Our landlord had inforrmed him to return the deposit to us, but he continued to avoid doing so for over a week and then sent a cheque rather than bank transfer. Not trustworthy at all.... Read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Been waiting 7 weeks for my refund of £700 and passed to 4 different members of staff. I was laughed at on the phone by Simon today when I said this was unacceptable. The same Simon that told me last Thursday that he would personally deal with it and email me the same day. I always paid my rent on time and reported no issues during my 2 year tenancy and left the property in a better condition that i was given it to be treated like this. I've been nothing but polite and patient until today but to be laughed at on the phone is ridiculous. After renting for 10 years and never had an issue with any other estate agent before, I've been appalled by the service from Homepoint Walsall.... Read more

Be aware that the agents in this Walsall branch are fraudelent scammers, namely Paul Patel, Manny and several others. They can't even get any decent properties anymore because they have a reputation for conning people's deposits and admin fees. I recently successfully got my deposit back from them by legal action, and it was a nightmare.... Read more
