Selling and buying houses, as we all know, can be a nightmare. But with Tim, it was smooth sailing once the buyer was found. Tim has a relaxed manner to guide you through the process. Keep you updated on progress. He will answer your many questions, which is very helpful towards the moving date. This agent has placed an aggressive and verbally abusive tenant in the property adjacent to my elderly parents. The tenant has also dumped a van with SORN overhanging my parents land, and when my father went round to ask him to move it, he was threatened both verbally and physically , and the police had to be called. My mother is in her late 80's , registered disabled , and can hardly stand. She can no longer get into the car adjacent to the house as the van is blocking her car door opening and isn't fit enough to walk beyond the drive and stand and wait while my father reverses the car out into the road. Both my parents and myself have made Tim the agent aware of the situation , but when I asked him when he would be coming round to sort the situation he told me 'I am not answerable to you' . He also said he was just back from holiday and so hadn't been able to deal with it. When I asked why it couldn't be dealt with by somebody else in the office, he said he worked alone , raising the question of what happens if there are emergencies in his properties when he is on holiday. He has also failed to give us the owner's details as requested so we can go through them, apparently encouraging the law breaking. He finally told me he would go round this week just ended, but the van is still present and overhanging my parents land with no attempt to move it. I am not sure how anybody could use an agent as heartless as this who is obviously only interested in lining his own pocket and completely unethical. The worry of the whole situation and an uncaring agent is making my parents ill. ***edited following business response. The response is incorrect as police were called and tenants made promises to them to move their vehicle within a couple of days to allow my disabled mother access . Several weeks on and they have simply not bothered . This clearly demonstrates the poor quality of tenants placed by this firm . I'm aware the owner has Data protection responsibilities, however he also has responsibilities not to obstruct the proper enactment of the law , which he is doing by failing to act as a proper conduit between my parents and the owners . I acknowledge that he accepted a call from my parents while on holiday but repeatedly used the holiday as an excuse as to why he couldn't progress matters and has still failed to do so. 02/12/23 update - See quote from Tim below : 'But I am committed to ensuring that this situation is dealt with correctly.'- Tim, how can you say this when weeks on the situation remains the same and you have even been shown documents proving the vehicle is parked on my parents land? Absolutely rubbish as a letting agency. Luke, owner of the Cannock branch, arranged a viewing for a property I was interested in. I made travel arrangements, move around my work appointments and he calls me to cancel while I am on my way there. This was less than an hour before the viewing! He then gives me a ridiculous reasoning about operating on a first come, first serve basis and that the person who viewed it earlier has put down a deposit. No other letting agencies work this way because they understand that they are making a commitment to people when asking them to show up. He kept mansplaining to me how I was upset and frustrated due to the market nowadays and I let him know that I am frustrated with his unprofessionalism and NOT about the property. Do not book viewings with this agency if you do not want your time wasted.... Read more
