From the start of the process to the sale of the house, the advice and communication was first class. The sale was dealt with sensitively and I cannot recommend the company enough.

Very disappointed from this agency All agency’s in uk are not wanted to give homes to the Indians and I don’t know what is the reason behind it we Indians especially Kerala people are more care for the houses and trying to keep our premises neat and tidy always if 1 person has done anything wrong don’t put it in action to others .this is very disgusting .and more over if child is there no one should approach this agency because ur going to loose ur time . Seriously they will not give homes and they will make some excuses very bad service .and wanted to tell more but this page is not enough for that

From the moment we viewed the property she knew every detail we needed to know and was so helpful getting everything set up and started . Thank you so much Hannah a credit to Connells .

26th Jan 2025 (18 days ago)Some communication issues - asked for call backs on two occasions and did not receive any. Not sure 'mate' is the sort of language one should use when in conversation with a client ? Not sure who was responsible for the on-line marketing ? I think it may have been iamsold? Was promised a Boxing day re-market as this, historically, is a strong day for on-line views - this was not actioned and we had to call to query - this was later sorted on or around the 28th December - some days after the 'strong day' the 26th December 2024 - not sure if there is a disconnect between Bairstows and Iamsold, so this may be disingenuous to Bairstows ? We would still recommend Bairstows Walsall.- 28th Oct 2024 (15 weeks ago)Got an incredibly tailored service from Neelam Sharma in the Mortgages department. Walked me through every step of the process as a first time buyer and would regularly check in during the house buying process with updates and cheaper products on offer. She even helped me to negotiate the sale price of the property. Cannot recommend her enough will definitely be referring family and friends to her, and will be returning to her when it comes to finding a new mortgage product. Thank you Neelam for making this whole process so smooth - 10/10 service on your part!

26th Oct 2024 (16 weeks ago)Nothing but awful management! I asked for my windows to be repaired after 3 years of suffering with freezing temperatures and when they finally sent someone out (Yes it literally took them three years) they gave me a section 21 as they convinced the Landlord it was easier to turf me out than to actually fix the windows after they finally did an assessment. When questioned about the section 21, they said that it was Belvoir have put up a 'to let' sign. So they obviously lied. The property was absolutely disgusting when I moved in, it hadn't been cleaned and had only been painted. The front door was hanging off, the floor was poorly tiled so kept sticking to mine and my cats feet. Infested with flour beetles and silverfish. Was consistently gaslit by Penny and Alex claiming it was all the Landlord, when in reality it was Belvoir sending out the cheapest cowboys. I had their section 21 assessed by Citizens Advice and found it wasn't actually a legal one due to a number of missing documents they never legally supplied to me and that if taken to court it would be thrown out but I have opted to move due to how much I hate this property and it's 'Management'. Quick to take your money and demand rent increases, but will never help you or do the repairs needed. AVOID AVOID. Unprofessional. The worst agents I have ever dealt with. (As you can see from the photos, these are an example of some of the shoddy conditions they said the flat was perfectly fine to let for. Please take note of the front door that had a gaping whole in it and their cowboy builder filled it with expanding foam, the door barely locked and I had to get the council out to force Belvoir to fix it due to it not meeting safety regulations.)

2nd May 2024 (9 mo. ago)Throughout my lifetime, I've never encountered individuals as unprofessional and deceitful as those associated with this company, particularly an agent named Luke. Initially, they assured me that my wage was sufficient for the desired apartment, but after I provided the deposit, they began avoiding my calls, imposing unexpected requirements, and threatening to withhold my deposit despite providing inaccurate information. This ordeal left me feeling deeply distressed and anxious, to the point of tears. Luke's actions were not only misleading and dishonest but also malicious. The entire experience has engendered a profound sense of disappointment and resentment towards both him and the company.

1st Jan 2025 (6 weeks ago)They were fine but when we requested to please vet potential buyers a bit more as we had some feedback regarding the house which was obvious from images and floor plan, they dismissed this saying it would put buyers off but with so many viewings and no real interest we feel this should have been done more as it felt a waste of time. Also they did say they would organise an open house to generate more local interest, which never happened. Communication was somewhat poor too between members of staff, they kept calling us when we were away despite us telling 3 people we would be away and not contactable.
14th Oct 2024 (17 weeks ago)Rude. Was expecting to hear when I could pick up the keys and they forgot about me. When I messaged I had the following rude response. "You have asked for a date to collect keys, which is my understanding that you have taken a room with us None of our previous conversation states which room you have taken Your contact number does not show on our system as a proposed tenant. Unfortunately we have three agents at Genie homes so you could have taken the room with the other two agents, im just trying to help find out which property so we can arrange your keys". Unfortunately we deal with hundreds of applicants per day, so i apologise that i needed to clarify". The snotty ending was terrible. It's there fault I'm not on the system yet somehow they expect me to provide them with all the information. Out of the 3 people that worked there could have said, oh yes I know him, my bad, I'll sort it. Terrible ans unorganised. Do not use! Used another company that was brilliant.
18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
