Kenny was so helpful and empathetic to the fact I was selling my mums house who died recently. He immediately made me feel confident I had chosen the right person. The house was sold in 5 days for the valuation price which was fantastic. He was able to tell me a bit about the family buying the house and it was so comforting for myself and my sister to know it was going to a family who immediately fell in love with the house and were so excited to bring their family up there as mum and dad had done with us. Extremely unprofessional experience with agent Alan Shields. We had a viewing booked for the 8th, but the agent, Alan Shields, moved it to the 13th because he was on holiday. We accepted this without any issue. On the 13th he informed us that he was travelling to Aberdeen and would contact us later that day to arrange a new viewing time. He never contacted us — we waited the entire day. Later we found out that the flat was already marked as under offer. At no point did he inform us that the property status had changed, even though he knew we were waiting for the rescheduled viewing. On the 14th, around lunchtime, I sent him a message asking for an update. He replied that he would call me “soon”, but he never called at all. We later learned that an offer was made on the 14th. This means we never even had the chance to view the property because the agent failed to keep his commitments and completely failed to communicate. He doesn’t even know how much we would have offered — because he never gave us the opportunity to view the flat or express our interest properly. I can’t believe how some adults behave like children—ignoring responsibilities, making excuses, and causing unnecessary problems. It’s frustrating to see such immaturity and lack of professionalism from someone who should know better. We rearranged our schedules twice and were genuinely interested in the property, but we were never given the opportunity to make an offer. This behaviour is unacceptable and reflects extremely poorly on the agency. I would not recommend them based on this experience.... Read more

Amanda took the viewings over the weekend when the most of the buyers are available but unfortunately other estate agents are simply off. She recommended to us holistic and independent finance advisor and also awesome solicitors who are real professionals and also available for advice after normal office hours. I've booked a viewing and received a confirmation of this not long afterwards. We drove 30 miles to view this property, arriving 4 minutes before the appointment (2nd January 11.00 am). Knocked on the door, heard a dog barking inside. No one let us in, no agent has showed up, so I called the office a few minutes later to ask what's happening. After 25 minutes waiting in front of the property, we decided to leave. It was a total waste of time. Would've appreciated a phone call, at least, if the appointment was cancelled or something. Also, we have not received the home report, thinking that this agency works in a different way and may send it after the viewing. Anyway, it was a bad experience from a buyer's perspective.... Do not trust this company. We dealt with the previous iteration of the owners company and are now being left to clean up their mess. We should have gotten rid of them sooner.... leaving this review in the hope that other landlords won’t have to deal with the loss of over £2000 in rental payments plus the stress of figuring out what to do with our tenant now... even with the loss of rent I still may have left a good review if Amanda and Craig has worked with us to help figure things out (or even provide the tenants details) but the only response to any communication that we have is to essentially gloat that their old company doesn’t exist and there is no recourse for us. Pretty poor behaviour for a human being never mind a business owner.... Read more

Once I booked in I had my photos and a video done which were fantastic. I had 4 viewers and received a closing date at which point the house sold. Terrible! It all started pretty well, sales pitch, photos, video etc. Told me what I wanted to hear regarding price and how my flat would sell easy, £595 upfront cost . My flat was on for 9 months! Communication was almost non existent, excuse after excuse, no professionalism, no feedback and no support. After agreeing the price she then blamed me for it not selling. It was then a race to the bottom suggesting to reduce asking price after only a few weeks on the market. Amanda would moan at me for contacting her to ask for feedback on viewings. Don't let them do your viewings either very unprofessional and they don't care if they sell your property they already have your money. They don't have a clue. Slater Hogg sold the same flat in 1 week for much higher than what house spotters suggested and they were well worth the small amount extra money. Hose spotters cost me 9 months of no rental income equating to more than £4500. The quicker the company closes down the better in my opinion! Will I see any money back from them? I won't hold my breath! Based on the other scathing reviews it would seem I'm not alone!... Read more

I enquired about a property via House Spotters own site. They said my enquiry would be sent to Your Move. When I rang Your Move they said the property had been sold 3 years ago!They also said that this applied to several of the other properties they were advertising as still available. When I tried to ring them (House Spotters), the number was unavailable!! I have come across this with other agents too. Why isn't this practise illegal? Surely, as far as Trading Standards goes, this is a clear breach?... Read more
