A highly recommended professional service from start to finish. They listened to my preferences and were quick and efficient to market the property.
The for sale board was up less than 24hrs after the initial consultation and I had several buyers lined up within days. One week later I accepted an offer.

Hi,
After reviewing the estate agents in the area I selected igloo as it had the biggest turnover of properties marketed and the price for their services was the lowest in the area. Overall I think I can summaries by saying, “ You get what you pay for”. The lower outlay against some of the aspects of selling my house does match up.
Positives :- House sold for market valuation. Which was probably the most important thing in the end after a very long time on market.
Negatives :- The surveyor recommended and used in my opinion constructed a survey which really didn’t support the sale of my home. Which led to the very long and drawn out sale.
The house I feel could have been marketed stronger. Did not get the feeling of any drive to sell it. It felt like sit back and wait for phone to ring before they did anything.
Closed at the weekends meant after any viewings at the weekend I had to wait till Monday for any feedback. This definetly led to people loosing interest or getting more active estate agents marketing other houses close sales.
Feedback was not very forthcoming. Most occasions I had to call for an update after viewings. Sometimes felt like I was annoying people when I called to find out what was happening.
Advised to get a refresh on the home report which I did not need to do as my lawyer advised it was not required. House sale completed without this. Could have been an unnecessary expense. So glad I want with my own lawyer and not one they advised.
So overall I got the sale for market value which was most important but I do think the sales experience could have been better if some of my negative points were removed or improved. If I was to ever sell again would use another agent and just pay that bit extra for proactive service.

One of the best decisions I've ever made going for Igloo to sell my house. I had heard they were great, and they certainly did not disappoint. They sold my house in 6 days for more than I expected. Stress and worry weren't even a thing when it came to selling my house. The Agent Abby was unbelievably knowledgeable in the processes and she was just so reassuring on questions I had which kept me at total ease.
Also any time i phoned and she was busy everyone else in the branch was so nice and helpful. Oh she also was very good at getting back to me. Love that! Big tick!

When the valuer first came to see our property we were very impressed and excited by his demeanor, he was very enthusiastic and he promised us he could get us top market prices and that he would have “no problem” in selling our home. We quickly found out that Igloo don’t phone you to inform you that you have a viewing as we had people turning up to view our home when we were unaware and not ready to have a viewing. Also days would go by after we did have a viewing without Igloo letting us know how it went or even that they were having trouble contacting the viewers. It took 6 months for us to sell our home, with us phoning Igloo several times to discuss lowering the price or changing something in our property. Not once did anyone from Igloo phone to discuss how we could sell the house quicker. In the end we lowered our asking price by £15000 and sold it that morning. Had there been a more accurate price put on the property, or Igloo had called to explain that the market was fluctuating then the property would have sold quicker and we would have been able to look at new properties rather than still making mortgage payments on the property we were in

Can't thank Stacey, Alan and the rest of the team af Igloo enough with their excellent help and fantastic service with selling our home.
From our initial consultation with Stacey at our home, our expectations were set and all of our questions were answered.
The team were then very helpful and patient with us, accomodating our personal circumstances before we eventually decided to put our home on the market.
Once we went ahead with the decision, Igloo's photographer Derek was out within a few days and took fantastic photos of our home.
After the home report was complete, our advert went live and we were very impressed.
We were then kept fully up-to-date by the staff at Igloo with regards to booking viewers.

Staff rude and ineffectual. If, for some reason, you choose to use this firm, get a friend to phone and 'test' them. We're still waiting for calls to be returned. When challenged, they blamed someone who wasn't there anymore. Very convenient! The accounts department is also hopeless. Avoid!
I note the response from the owner, further evidence of their lack of organisation that they can't find the file, they could however check their email for our communications if they cared to.

1st class experience from Alan and the wider team at Igloo Estate Agents. From only considering selling one week and seeking quotes from various estate agents, I found myself last minute considering Igloo. Alan attended my house on the Monday evening after only asking for a meeting a couple of hours before. He came, survey our property, sat down and discussed his views on value, saleability which aligned with our own. He had come prepared having little notice, he knew the area, the market, our expectations and instantly gave us confidence and we knew Igloo were the ones for us. We shook on proceeding then and there. By Tuesday we had signed the agreement, Wednesday the photographer had been and taken extensive photos of our property and the signs were up. Thursday the Home Report Survey was carried out. Friday the marketing info was drafted for approval, home report received and our house was on the market that afternoon with our first viewing on Friday evening. The following week we had no less than 14 viewings with some 2nd viewings, offers and notes of interest by the second week, which resulted in us setting a closing date for the middle of following week and us accepting an offer. All this for a very reasonable fixed price that has saved us thousands in fees. I could not recommend Alan & Igloo Hamilton highly enough. If fact I did, when I told the prospective purchasers of this service, they then engaged with Alan with a view to Igloo valuing and marketing their properties.

Placed an offer on a property and never received a call, email or a message from the Hamilton office for 9 days given that I called three times and emailed twice……and when I called back was told the property was Sold STC. No biggie. But when I asked why they didn’t call or email me, it turned out they had the ‘incorrect number and email’ (Fake News) which was a complete lie given that I’ve had an email and telephone conversation with their negotiator and Stewart who answered the phone three times. I asked for this ‘email’ and their negotiator made one up! Absolute joke. What happened to integrity, honesty and self respect? Properties come and go but trust and relationships are paramount. To the owners of IGLOO, please get this in order and don’t make another client go through this. Maybe spend more time with your employees on your core values.

Terrible letting agents to deal with. No help with problems to the property, no heating, or water for 4 weeks after having burst pipes.
Left to try and get plumber, clean up and dry the flat out ourselves.
With ceilings down, wallpaper off walls and water still coming through roof. We are still awaiting returned calls.
No replies to call or emails when it first happened. Second time
When we eventually got a hold of them. They blamed us for not leaving heating on 24/7. Nothing to do with pipes being old and not protected as plumber said.

Igloo Estate Agents have gone above and beyond my expectations.
I contacted them in crisis mode and spoke to Stacey who patiently listened to me rant and cry about how I had to leave another Estate Agents due to lack of communication.
However, I needed to get my house back on the market ASAP or the house we were buying were gonna sell to someone else.
Before I knew it, I not only had a wee well needed counselling service from Stacey to calm me, but my house was on the market quickly, professionally and smoothly.
I then dealt mostly with Alan who like Stacey talked me through everything and had numerous viewers lined up in no time. Within one week the house was sold!! Even when the house sold Alan was still there to give me advice and explain the process to me. Nothing was everr a bother and Alan was only a phone call away to answer any questions, even regarding the purchase of our new home as the Estate Agents selling that were less than helpful unfortunately.
So if you're selling, letting or buying a home.... Igloo is 110% the place to go.
Alan could not have been anymore polite, professional, and helpful as was Stacey.

A story that started as a taxi hire which led to the successful, stress free and helpful house sale.
I am a private hire driver who picked up Reece one day from a property for sale in Hamilton. During the journey Reece and myself started to have a conversation about the housing market. Instantly Reece's kind and soft speech alongwith with his knowledge and manner made me automatically think about using him to sell a flat which I was thinking of selling but was unsure which estate agent to use due to the bad experience with another estate agents a few years ago. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I had a large property and the most expensive in the area to sell. It was not in "ready for sale" condition and I knew it would be a challenge so I took my time choosing who to go with. All my money was tied up in this property so a good sale really mattered to me and my children's future. I am a business consultant by trade so I know how to do research into companies and I took this important decision very seriously. Igloo was actually the cheapest offer on the market at the time and if anything I might have been put off by that but I looked at their stats. Their sales in the local area over the last few years have been the best of any local and national company. Their "above home report" figures and the speed at which properties sell with them were also better than others I compared with which implied to me they were better at generating a buzz and getting multiple offers. For someone whose property would probably sell to a local buyer choosing them was clearly a no-brainer but, because my property was such a one-off I needed to be able to access a wider market, -developers and people from far afield so I was still undecided. I invited a couple of agents to the property and Peter from Igloo stood out for his ability to understand the approach required and his straight speaking advice. Of course we all love our homes and think they're wonderful so criticism is hard to take but I did get the impression that some other agents were more focused on fixing a low asking price to achieve an easy sale than actually getting a good price for me. I was not worried about that with Igloo. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful whenever I phoned but that is, of course, often the case when a company wants your business. With Igloo that enthusiasm and energy stayed exactly the same after I'd signed up. The photographer was out straight away, pictures online and their formidable and exceptional social media machine went into overdrive to get images of my house out and about for people to see. Viewings came thick and fast with notifications by text and Peter phoned weekly with updates. Because of the way my work was set up I always missed their calls and had to call back which meant, over the time I probably called the office from an unknown number around 40 times before my sale was completed. On every single occasion bar non the phone was answered professionally enthusiastically and politely by someone who genuinely seemed keen to help. That is a rare and precious thing and something that I believe is SO important. I know myself I’ve phoned with a vague enquiry about a property I’ve seen and an unhelpful agent has meant I haven’t bothered going to see it. I am absolutely confident that doesn’t happen with Igloo. Every time I phoned I could have been anyone and yet I was always treated so well. People talk about a property needing curb appeal. In fact my property didn’t really have it but Craig and his team in the office were my property’s curb appeal and I believe they got me my viewers and my sale. The team managed things superbly. When I received an offer, and was tempted, it was Craig who talked me through the options of going to closing date in the hope of a higher offer, even though that would mean extra work for him and, unlike other companies, no extra commission. They eventually got me, among others, two notes of interest from people working outside the country which showed me how important their online presence was. Throughout the process they advised but didn’t brow-beat. I felt looked after by professionals yet in control. If you’re thinking of using Igloo I’d recommend giving them a ring. Due to my job I don’t write reviews as a rule but Igloo more than warrant this exception. Good luck with your house sale. I am confident it will go well.

Linda was so helpful and friendly when I initially called and remembered me from when I bought my property 4 years ago. Peter then came out to give me a valuation who was very professional and helpful and we decided then to put the property up on the market. Peter came out and took our photographs and arranged the home report. It was a seamless process and I didn't need to do any work. Igloo have been one long nightmare for a long time. Communication issues with my rented property led to them commissioning work on my bathroom, installing a new shower unit and billing me £400 without mentioning it until I realised they’d taken the money. I wasn’t even aware the work had been done. Communication issues with the sale of my house were worse. Advising me to accept an offer from a cash buyer they recommended only to find out two days before settlement they weren’t a cash buyer and couldn’t proceed until their house was sold. Overall I’m out of pocket hundreds of pounds due to constant delays and I’m now financially wounded. No apologies, just excuses. 1 star seems about right.

We purchased a house through Igloo and dealt with Linda. She was excellent and even stepped in to 'project manage' the sale when a few issues with planning permission etc cropped up towards the closing date. Linda acted as a liaison between several different parties and got things back on track.
I have no doubt that without Linda's input the sale would have been delayed further.
They really do go the extra mile here and took a massive load of stress off of us.

I'm not sure how they complete on any properties. If you want to see a home report be prepared to call and email numerous times and still not get one. I had arranged a viewing not long ago and the agent didn't turn up to the property, when I phoned it apparently hadn't been scheduled even though it was 'confirmed' on the phone. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because a member still made his way out and was very apologetic however since then I'm still waiting on a home report and have had a call disconnected when asking questions about a particular property. If you're looking for an estate agent to do their job and get the simple things right I wouldn't recommend igloo.

I had the "pleasure" to interact with two of their agents.
David was the first one. We had this viewing booked for 12pm on Saturday and he texts me at 9am to ask me if I'm still okay with our meeting at 10am?! I explained that I'm not booked for 10am and that we can meet up later on. At around 2pm he decides to text me saying he could do it. He was late for that one as well, but let's just ignore that. He saw that I don't have a Scottish accent and he asked me where I'm from. When we got into the flat, he mentioned it's not furnished. I only searched for furnished flats and so, I've advised him that it should be furnished. He insisted it's not furnished and then PROCEEDED TO ASK ME IF I KNOW WHAT FURNISHED MEANS and to explain what the difference between furnished and unfurnished is. After a wee chat, we concluded that he took me to the wrong flat. Not only that he messed up his appointments and he thought I was scheduled in for another time, but he took me to the completely wrong flat. I've rarely seen such incompetence somewhere.
Second one was Ian. He promised he would talk to the landlord of a different flat and that we would email me. I had to chase this up twice and Linda (I'm assuming that's the receptionist/secretary) told me that he would contact me back, but never did. Later on, I've seen the advert removed from the website.
EDIT AND UPDATE (as I cannot reply to their response): Stop lying and embarrassing yourself. You should apologise, but I don’t care. I don’t want your apologies, I want other people to know what will they deal with.
And to respond properly... I did have a meeting with Gail and when I asked her what to do if I want the flat she said to call into the office first thing the next morning, and so I did. I called in, Linda answered and she transferred me to Ian. I did discuss a couple of details with Ian and he promised he will keep me updated. He never did, which is why you never have any kind of record of our interactions except the ones that you mentioned.
And as of David, I can definitely screenshot our entire conversation in text messages and post it here (including his phone number).

They Didn't bother to call us back after my phone call to book a viewing. I was told that they did not have the keys yet and they would get back to me to book a viewing. I was waiting in vain. We found out the property was under offer to be rented. We're not DSS, no smokers have no pets, I will never understand why some letting agencies (because it's not the first time we're experiencing this lack of professionalism ) just ignore some potential tenants..

I have used igloo estate agents in the past and they have always been professional in the way they deal with your property. I had no hesitation in using them to sell my flat in hamilton. The flat sold within 4 weeks of me advertising it with them. Excellent service as well as a very professional approach to selling.

Hopeless letting agent they dont even bother to cl you have to chase them for your rent and when you asked why the rent is not paid they always tell you we are doing our best for god shake what best they are doing they dont even stick with their word their manager dont even know how to talk with the customer and when my rent was not paid for 3 month which is nealry 1900 pound then i asked them to vacant my property they delayed to give the notice to tanent and slow approach from their end to recover my rent and when only 15 days left for the notice they came up with the idea that tanent gona pay 300 pound every week . Then i asked the manager its only 2 week left to notice period and after making 2 payment if the tanent stop paying me and the notice period over what gona happen she was blank and told me i will call u back and then she called me back and said once the notice period over we have to give another 2 month notice . So i asked her let the tanent pay first 300 pound then i will discuss with my husband wether we want to keep the tanent because the tanent one month rent was pending from last 8 month and they said this before and failed to make the payment that time so its hard for us to trust them the manager said its fine and after the first payment on 2nd of feb they will Contact me for my decision but my husband contacted her for the status she said this is not ethical as the notice hanging on tanent head and only 10 days left. They always come with some excuse they said my cooker broke we dont even know that . I just dint understand where her ethic gone when after notice tanent didnt make any contact and we paid the 3month mortgage from our pocket and tanant only contact when only 15 days left for notice ..... this letting agency is hopeless And when they cant do anytjing they just hang their cl

After a really bad experience with another agent I decided to go to Igloo as I felt everywhere I looked there was an igloo sold sign. It was the best decision I've ever made. My house sold within 2 weeks for the full home report value. The service was exceptional from start to finish and I can't praise the staff enough. I was kept up to date throughout the process and the staff were all very helpful and professional. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to friends and family and they would certainly be my first choice if I ever move house again in the future.

I was really impressed with how quickly the house went online, within a few hours of the photos being taken and home report being carried out. Staff were quick to advise of a viewing and always received a follow up text confirming the appointment. If viewer cancelled last minute, I was notified. Generally good at providing feedback on viewings and handled the sale process well. If you compare Igloos pricing to others, it's certainly more attractive than others. Friendly staff, Craig and Lesley in particular. Overall very happy to have used Igloo.

Had done my research when choosing an Estate Agent to use in Hamilton, the town I grew up in, but haven't lived in for almost 20 years and I wasn't disappointed with my choice. I had already made an observation that Igloo were selling most of the properties in my area. My first and main dealings were with Craig, who was friendly and efficient and he was confident he'd find a buyer for my late Dad's house. After only a couple of months (over winter no less), he found me a fantastic buyer for the house. I would highly recommend Igloo if you're selling your property.

Outstanding service and very reasonably priced against the norm. Minimum fuss and hassle - important since I am living overseas and did not need unnecessary additional pressures. Igloo made the effort to follow up rapidly to my initial inquiry (other agents did not reply to messages left), and the react to queries (many!) during the process of sale. First weekend on the market they put through 4 potential buyers in a day, resulting in an immediate offer. Overall I cannot be any more positive in my recommendation to any future customer. 5 stars.

Great experience with the lettings team. Worked with us throughout the process and were on the phone if needed. After viewing a property that may have been unsuitable for us (Great property, just in the wrong situation as had young child and was more elderly) Suzanne and Fiona helped us find a property that would suit us better. I dealt with the lovely Suzanne when renting with Igloo and cannot fault the process from start to finish. With it being my first ever home, I had no idea of the way things worked in the "big world", but Suzanne and the team made it as easy as possible for me, contacting me with help and to baby talk me through everything (definitely necessary!). Very unhappy with the service. I have been renting out a flat with Igloo for the past 6 months but the tenant they found me did not pay anything for 6 whole months.
Then once the tenant was finally evicted they failed to inspect the flat to clean and make repairs. In fact Igloo did not even know the flat had been abandoned until I visited it myself to discover the mess it had been left in.

Selling your House can be a stressful time but the Team at Igloo did everything in their power to help me as much as they could and made it as easy as I think it could have been.

A zero star review from me. The attitude from certain staff in the lettings team is appalling, dismissive and rude. There is no complaints procedure. When I complained about the service I received I was told to stop contacting them - how professional. Also do not be taken in by the reviews on their website as it is not possible to post a review so I can only assume the positive reviews were written by staff - the fact that there are no negative reviews on their site would confirm this!!!!
