Good auction place I've got a couple things from there before. Always make sure you come to the viewing as some people are disappointed when they bid and they don't get what they want. Also there are fees of up to 45% on some items so be careful. Also the auction place could do with a description on the items as there isn't one. But the collection staff are always nice and helpful... Read more

A huge gamble on whether your items work, or is complete. Yes, you could potentially view it and test it. But you would need equipment to test electric goods.
So yes you could get a great bargain, but you could also be wasting your money.
Please bear in mind that when paying for items, you may HAVE to opt for delivery on some items. Prices of which can be from £9.99 to £75. You will get taxed on the delivery fee as well.
You will also likely be charged a buyer's premium of 25%, you will also be taxed on this fee too.
Of course you've worked out that you will also be taxed on the actual item.
So bear this in mind when you're trying to calculate the costs. Yes, you'll be paying VAT three times.
So only bid if you've seen the item(s), tested them (electrical, etc), and calculate if you can actually afford the total cost.
Also bear in mind that even during delivery you item may get damaged, lost or delayed.
I do really hope you get a good bargain, just bear these things in mind.... Read more

They seem to auction items from places like Amazon that have been rejected as not working or damaged - the kind of stuff that is often used, broken or with parts missing that have been returned by customers and can't be sold off on the original sellers' outlets because the condition isn't good enough. The problem is that John Pye doesn't describe the actual condition, but uses instead stock images that make items seem like new. If you complain in any way, they are likelt to close your account.... Please be aware, they can also sell counterfeit or faulty/ damaged items as I found. Recently bought a well known divers watch they advertised in a online auction, when I recieved the watch it was broken and used but looked to of been covered up with repairs. I paid well over the odds for a faulty watch and once I asked about what to do they just reffered me to the pages of small print and terms and conditions that basically don't hold them to accountable for anything.
Also, I would add that if this is the first time you are bidding online once you place a bid it adds another few minuets to the bidding timer. Way longer than what you would get in the actual auction house, a sneaky tacktic I found that runs up the price of items being sold.... Read more

Biggest scammers I have ever seen. Literally ripped me off 4k. Don’t get auctions cars from them. I bided on the car Ford fiesta. They share the videos of the car where their employe is driving a car to show it is drivable. They mentioned that mot is going to expire next year but the mot was fake when I received the car. Battery was dead I couldn’t drive the car secondly the fly disc was broken was making loud noise when you give ignition. Air con wasn’t working, pain on the bonnet and bumper was gone and they did a sliver spray on it so you can’t see in the video but in real you could see the chunk of the real pain is gone from there. I’m going to sue them in a consumer court. It is my advice to everyone stay away from them.... Read more

First time ever at an auction and was for experience really. For an online service I would have expected better description of the items. I understand you have a viewing option, but the purpose of online is that you don't travel miles and take hours!
Bit of a hit and miss on this. Brought 2 items. 1 item was good a monitor for gaming. And item was as expected and overall really happy with this.
The second item was a lawn mower, and when i opened the box the cable was cut. Now this is what should have been in the description/pictures. At least have a tickbox/words that say "tested" or "untested". Luckily i had the needed equipment to fix the cut cable. Then when fixing the parts, i noticed a few parts missing, including the setup guide! Finally I found a bag of parts in the box, that I cannot figure out what to do with, I can only assume they belong to another item they sold that is now missing parts. Anyway, the mower does work. And cuts grass.
Overall as the experience goes its a 50/50. For me item 1 really covered the expense of the loss of the second. However it does highlight the fact you could end up losing a good few pounds and all because John Pye didn't describe the item and/or didn't test it prior to auction.
I admit auctions are a risk, but again with the nature of online, you either need to step up the photography and the description part. Or make the viewing more convenient like weekend or late evening. At current rate the risk for me outweighs the benefits.
Would I go again? Not sure, in the current financial climate the risk of losing money to save a few quid, it is not right and doesn't add up. Maybe later on if I have some expendable cash.... Read more

I dont have an issue with the items being sold. I do have an issue with the level of disregard in customer service and flexibility (or lack of).
I had 2 invoices. One to collect. One for delivery. Happy to pay delivery on the delivery item. But I'm not allowed to collect the delivery item with the other collection items at the same time - despite sharing the same site - the excuse being "the room is cluttered" (from Head Office). Thanks for the less than appealing service. If you can't be bothered to walk a few steps to fetch an item (which I am still happy to pay the delivery fee for) then you don't deserve my custom. Used quite a few times over the years. Collection staff are helpful both for organised courier collections and if you turn up in person. Only do "Delivery only" auctions now and delivery is usually quite quick. Delivery charges are quite expensive though (£10 for a small box which would cost £3.35 Royal Mail).
Always be aware that you have additional charges on bids which equate to about 45%. So if you bid and win an item for £10 then you have £4.50 ontop making your total cost £14.50.

Bought items on 6/7th September , invoice received on the 7th sept to be paid by the 8th of September (less than 24hours) , package arrived the following week , on the 17th I had an electrican come and put in the ring wired doorbell pro with chime, so drilled holes in my bricks outside to put up , only for the doorbell not to give a WiFi signal to connect to my network , chime on the other hand did connect but was already connected to someone else account so couldn’t be used unless that person disconnected it
On the 17th of SEPTEMBER I emailed about the faulty item and wasn’t until the 20th I was told you had to log on to their website to return said item, luckily it was a warranty auction as if not then no return would be possible, purchased on auction as a fully functioning item turns out was false advertising and took a further 2 weeks on back and forth emails to finally arrange a home collection for a return , however that return had to go to another site so they could send it back to the original site (I’m in Northern Ireland)
Dpd don’t collect on weekends (yanno when most people are off and not at home) so was told a collection time with 5 minutes notice so had to cancel that one and arrange a day of for the following week to be collected but first of all I had to arrange for the electrican to come back disconnect everything he did and put my original doorbell back
Collection FINALLY happened on the 12th of OCTOBER , made it to the galgorm site on the 14th which then forwarded it on to th so Leicester site and that arrived on the 17th of October
On the 18th of October (today) I contacted the original person (rachelle Caulton) who informed me it only arrived today , which I sent dpd tracking info which it was yesterday but turns out she meant on her desk (not my problem) , who then informed me the price for electricians both visits will not be covered by them for their false advertising on their website along with the refund will not be processed for a further 2 days which will also take up to 3 further days to reach my account - which we know could be 3 “working days” that is the 25th of October - approx FOURTY EIGHT days after I made the purchase and have wasted my time trying to return and get my refund
So I would advise anybody to be careful purchasing anything from this auction as they will not pay for any services you have had to cover for buying false advertised items that belong to other people... Read more

Beware! items for sale in the: second hand, ex display and returns auctions, are almost certain to be broken or faulty.
John Pye will give you a three hour slot to "view, inspect, and test" the items that are for sale. At which point it will be made fairly difficult to find your item and impossible to test it.
They then use the allocated viewing time, to suggest that you are 100% happy with the items you are bidding on.
It is worth noting, that you cannot bid on an item when viewing it, instead you bid online in the following days (distance purchase), where you are almost certain to be bidding against people who believe the item to be fully working. Because john pye will photograph the items in such a way that makes them appear functional.
Once you have paid the hammer price, VAT, John Pye fees, delivery charge and delivery VAT (don't forget that), you basically end up paying about 80% of what you would for a brand new item (functional and with a warranty).
However, the item you have purchased from John Pye is basically worthless...
John pye will not take back a faulty or broken item, because they will say that you have had the opportunity to evaluate the quality of the product in person.
Lumping ex demo sales with returns is dishonest, as people assume that an ex demo item would.be working with some.minor cosmetic wear. Returns are likely to be damaged or faulty.. John pye do not indicate which category an item falls into.
John pye are showing complete disregard for the consumer protection act and are blatantly operating in a deceptive and potentially fraudulent manner.
Avoid buying from this company like the plague.
You have been warned.... Read more

A downside is vat plus fee's now adds 50% onto final bid price so make sure to take this into account when bidding, I've seen things sell for close to the retail price bit once you add fee's and vat, it cost the people more then retail (I.e. if you bid £100 for something, you will pay £150 [plus shipping depending on item] for the item].... Are you looking to sell stolen goods? If so you have come to the right place!!!
These absolute cretins sold a brand new stolen item of mine worth £3500 for a mere £125

Now the buyer won't answer anyone's calls and will "only deal with John Pye"
Imagine a world where John Pye actually confirmed a seller genuinely owned the item they were auctioning!!! The washer had a big hole in the drum, the computer motor was wet because of the hole shooting water out and it should not have been sold as an ex showroom working order washer. Could not get a refund the advisor said I bought it at my own risk and I could have plugged it in at the showroom and tried before I bought! But it would have had to be plumbed in obviously. Lesson learnt don't buy from John pye. 108 pounds down the drain... Read more

I am probably the only one of those who bought many many) faulty items, I will allow myself to give them Five Stars))This is probably because I carefully read all their rules.it clearly says what things are sold and where they came from. There it is carefully written how much you have to pay on top of the value of the won lot.,,Please Note:This is a PUBLIC AUCTION, not a consumer or retail sale - Lots include second-hand and used goods, Sold As Seen with no GUARANTEES which is why PUBLIC VIEWING is available (above) and recommended''As written on the title page of each auction.Ask yourself why are all these items sold at auction as no guaranted and not in previous locations where they came from? Why should these retailers sell their new and serviceable goods for a third of the price through on auction? If you are not sure that you can fix a possibly broken items, do not risk. This auction is suitable for those who can fix purchased items if they are broken.Do not throw your money in a bin buying suspicious home appliances and electronics because of stinginess.Buying at this auction is like playing the lottery))The only ones who always win from the lottery are its organizers))Remember this!!
P.S it is a pity that these auctions are not held near London(... Read more

Found some good bargain in past, need to be careful about some items you need to try them and see them before buy. Sometimes prices hike us much you can buy new cheaper items in shop with warranty. I think people can't put x1.46 to calculator.
Sad think is they still do ONLY parcel delivery auctions when only reason is charge people more money! I paid 14.40 for delivery and live 3 minutes from there! So I paid for risk my items will arrive damaged and late and they did! If there is collection you still wait outside and have hour slot for collection,so there is no argument against. Delivery should be a choice!
Hours of viewing shorter and shorter and only morning not giving chance to people to view items.
Changed my billing details few times and it is still wrong on invoices.
It could be good, but it is worse and worse. Very poor, conservative management there.... Read more

Uk wide auctions and appear several times a week.
Website is pretty good and nearly great to navigate.
Bought 3 things in the last 2 months and paid probably 50% on the first, 5% on the second, and 30% on the third - so bargains to be had - but with risk, might not be perfect. Yesterday bought a 27 inch monitor for £65 and looks brilliant when I plugged it in.
Yes - watch out for tax and premium to add onto your bid, also you easily bid on items that might be miles away and you have to pick up (the website doesn’t remind you location when bidding on an item). If you can go and look at items before if suitable.
Staff are super friendly and helpful.... Read more

John pye are happy to list item incorrectly and let people bid well over the value.
nottingham sales room 9 lot 8
They have a £1000 camera listed as "sony rx100 mk7" but it's just the mk7 box with a Sony rx100 mk1 camera in it.
The list was mk7 which is valued at £1000 ish they've let people bid on it (£325 +20%vat +22% = £475 at the moment I write this review)
so I brought it to their attention that the camera inside the box is a rx100 mk1 with a value of £300 (new) so they've changed the listing to just rx100 but openly admitted they will not reset the bids or informed the people who have already over bid on a wrongly listed item.
I have a screenshot of the chat to them, shameful on their behalf.
I'll upload it once I'm home and forwarding it on to trading standards.
Shame on this conpany.
Update...
The auction ended with the item being knowingly wrongfully listed for £585, Inc fees that £585 they've scammed from a unbeknown customer For a £150 camera placed in a £1000 camera box..... Read more

Ive bought srock frequently from John Pye and the vast majority of time, its been a good experience. Like any auction house, ive had times where ive bought items which are less than ideal. This is an issue buying from Auctions in general and not just John Pye. Ive had a couple of issues with delivery times in the past, but usually items are delivered in a few days. You have to check items, and sometimes just take a punt that what you buy might not be as good as buying a new item from a shop. As long as you do your research, know the fees (they're not hidden, just have to know them before hand) and understand the risks, ive found John Pye better than most other auction houses ive bought from before.... Use to buy from them but most of the products were faulty so i stop using them but i brought something again hoping i will get what i brought but i was totally scammed. One of the was clearly taped and probably opened by staff and they replace the actual product with some scraps so that box would have same weight. ordered an item, I only live 5 minutes away from the Nottingham depot and normally I am able to go in and collect. During the covid JP have introduced a pallet delivery for £73 which i didnt realise until I received the invoice and i admit that was an error from my part. They weren't taking phone calls and instead had to communicate via online chat, this took JP half a day or full day to respond to my frustration and annyonce. I explained I hadn't realised about the pallet delivery rules as I hadn't bought anything from them during covid, I explained I live 5 minutes away and for them to load it on a pallete drive around Nottingham making drops for them then to drop it around the corner and even that was going to be dropped on the road and I had to make arrangements to get it up into the house, I explained I have been made redundant during covid and I only budgeted for the machine and couldn't afford the extra £73 and as a good will gesture as a one off could I do the click and collect but JP refused point blank I requested i speak to manager again this was ignored! JP is out there to rinse people out of money where ever they can and do not care about their customers circumstances. I am very disappointed the JP I would give them zero stars if option was there, I had to borrow money from my grandmother to pay for the damn delivery. Shame on you john pye, shame on you!!!!!... USE CAUTION!!... I had previously had a poor experience purchasing online from an alternative location of John Pye, but gave them the benefit of the doubt, only for them to post my goods to the wrong address on my very next purchase - I only found out when I received a DPD photo of my package outside someone else’s house!
On chasing this up they have blatantly lied, stating I emailed to change address, and despite being able to evidence I didn’t, they have just taken to completely ignoring me instead of accepting any responsibility or attempt to help, and I am having to progress via the financial ombudsman.
Minimise your risk by purchasing on Credit Card, only buy if you can collect, and keep your fingers crossed there aren’t any issues - provided you’re lucky enough to avoid their cockups, there’s bargains to be had.
It’s a shame- their shocking online systems, no telephone lines, lack of customer service and complete avoidance of accepting they’ve made a mistake makes it not worth the risk anymore, sadly.... Read more

UPDATE- 3rd lot which came from Pye's Nottingham (others in the review were Marchington and Chesterfield) was speedy and well packaged so upped from 2 to 3 stars. Shocking packaging. See picture of how Pyes' think £100 worth of fragile items should be packaged and posted. Boxes form part of the value now trashed. Previous week a lot of watches arrived that I had won (after two weeks of waiting). They had all just been chucked in a big box together rattling around. I have vinyl records arriving soon so they will probably be ruined too. Have been a customer for 10+ years but if this continues I sadly won't be anymore. I will caveat this with saying I will be able to still make a small profit but no where near the level I should have. Quick tip whatever the bid multiply it by 1.46 and add any postage to get a rough idea of what you will be paying. Search ebay first in the sold items to see what you should be paying and bear in mind it may be broken and bid with that in mind. Can't believe how much some items go for sometimes. Caveat Emptor and all that.... Read more

Always loads on auction every week. Staff are a bit miserable though. Careful when you bid because there is 20% vat on most things and the a whopping 22% buyers tax on top which then means you can end up paying more than you would if you bought an item in a store. So when you are a winning bidder you dont necessarily end up with the bargain you thought you had. I am sharing my experience so that might help some of interested buyers. I learnt the lesson hard way but you are not necessarily should go my way. First of all, Nottingham John Pye staff are very nice and helpful ( Cash office and the Sales Rooms I have visited) , so my stars are for them.... My advises are ;
1- Without Viewing and physical inspection , Do not Bid on anything that is not sealed ( You end up getting a pile of rubbish that will go straight into the Bin).
2- When you go to collect your Goods , do not sign unless you check all your items in your order and quantities. 3- When Bidding always remember the %44 fees on top of your Bid ( Buyer Premium & VAT) and do not be fool as you might get same item New cheaper elsewhere! RRP££ written next to some items doesn't mean this item worth that much now
4- If you won something by online bidding ( without physical viewing), check that the item you are getting is actually what you bid for before signing, as staff that listing these items are not specialised in every item they list and you might only won a sticker on a box that contains other stuff!
5- If you are not following above steps and things go wrong, do not expect refunds or hoping your complains get to anywhere. Simply, It was your fault. Finally, there are still profits to be made out of these actions, but you have to be smart, invest your time and know what you are buying.... Read more

Spent overall about £2000 over a period of a few weeks at a few various John Pye (Marchington, Derby & Nottingham). The yield for faulty products that need attention is about 30%, so I wouldn't read into too much of the horror stories. Go down there and take a look for yourself, you will notice the bad stuff quite quickly, the broken goods can be repaired if you are into that. But my conclusion is that the prices are too near retail prices when you factor in 44% fees. As an online seller, it left zero meat on the bone. I will give it 2 stars because while I would not recommend John Pye for B2B, there still can be moderate bargains to be found if you intend to buy for personal use. In which case, I would still rather pay retail and have the assurances and convenience though. I will finally add that the staff are great, had no problems at any of the auctions... Read more

I bid on their website a handfull of times, one time made a mistake and did not view items before bidding and ended up paying (£110) for something which went straight to bin, so I got my lesson and on next time I went to view items I wanted, all was fine so decided to bid on it. After winning auction obviously went to collect it. Long queue in Chesterfield branch in pouring rain didn’t put me off (1h15mins waiting to collect goods), surprise was when I got home and it turned out that one of two glass tables was completely smashed (where on viewing both were fine), I’ve emailed Nottingham and Chesterfield branches with photos but never got any reply back.
This was my last shopping there, if you think you’re getting a bargain you’re wrong, because after adding fees and VAT (which all in all is 44%! on top what you bid) you may as well got to the shop and pay tenner more and get brand new item. Also noticed that when I put my max bid on their website I always win item, but SOMEONE always bids on the same item and stops £1 before my max bid, what a coincidence LOL. I will not buy from there again, too much money went straight to bin.... Read more

Its an auction. Not very open and descriptive about the good they sell. My suggestion is not to gamble with your money. I have lost so much money and later realized the hard truth. Just like everyone else I was hoping for something good every time I bid. What not to buy- electronics. What to buy - house hold items which says sealed or new in condition. They recommend visiting the warehouse to check the condition of the goods but the time slot is only half a day. So ensure you go see the goods before you purchase. You just need to be lucky to get a food deal. Good luck.... Read more

John Pye is a place of opportunities but not for the faint of heart or armchair purchasers. Why you may ask? Simples, says the man who has watched far too many Meer Kat advertisements lol. 1. It's really important that you inspect the goods, as some may not show visible signs of damage but when collected parts could be missing or the item if electrical may not work correctly etc. 2. It is not unachievable but very rare that John Pye will give you a refund unless you can show clear evidence of misinformation and they have been doing this a long time so they really do not have small print to cover themselves. 3. Being there, whilst costly to travel unless your local and not working, gives you the ability to touch and feel and test the product, whether for resale or personal use it is really a no brainer to travel. Otherwise it is pot luck mostly. I have been buying from them for over 5 yrs and made wins and loses. Mostly wins and the staff are friendly. My best buys are Fridge Freezer, saved over £350 on store price, double oven saved around £120, 49 inch tv saved around £100, Headphones made 35% profit selling via ebay. So it can work for you but please do not make my initial mistakes and buy without expecting the good first, this is a sure way of increasing the chances if making a lost, but for the rare few it can work. Happy shopping.... Read more

Auctions online great but viewing time impossible for 9-5 working, which I suspect on purpose. Items in unknown working conditions seem to go for more than what you can get them for second hand with warranty. Like price are being artificially bided on. Payment system a con add 20% then add 20% tax on top so your winning item of £100 actually costs £144 ,staff mixed bunch some super friendly and helpful, some out right rude ,treatment of lots by some staff leaves a lot to be desired.

Every item I bought had at least minor problem. In my opinion items that are not marked as faulty should not be sold like this because this is just tricking the client and you write to everybody "CHECK-BID-BUY" so what I should come to auction with knife opening every package that interests me and ruin packaging or scratch item? How do you check washing machine or computer keyboard in that case? Or even slow cooker?
My suggestion would be that items that you not marked as faulty at least would be marked as Unchecked.
I payed 100£ I feel like I have got 60£ of items because other are just broken beyond repair. I learned my lesson.... Read more

I won a bid for a pair of Beats headphones for £42 plus 20% for JP fee. Only to find they didn’t even switch on. I complained and they said it’s not their responsibility. However that £42 has been paid to someone who has purposely given them worthless products in the hope to get literally money for nothing.
JP should surely do basic checks e.g. do they work or can they be fixed easily.

I got a good deal on a car from the Marchington auction site then some issues came up after the sale. The deposit paid of £200 does not get refunded automatically. I had to call and ask for it and then send them an email requesting the refund. In addition I was invoiced a credit of £23 indicating I had over paid and they wouldn't refund the money saying it was a 3% credit card charge. When I asked for an invoice showing the credit card charge they just sent a credit note removing the amount so that my invoice came to less than what I actually paid. Either way they kept my money and I still haven't been invoiced correctly. Dodgy paperwork. Having said this the guys on the ground at the auction were accommodating and really looked after us.... To the idiots who come up with "what do you expect it's an auction not a shop" in reply to complaints about faulty items...What people EXPECT is items offered for sale to be in reasonable condition and actually work. These goods may be cheap but it doesn't matter how cheap they are if they don't work. People pay good hard earned cash for these lots so is it not reasonable to expect not to be buying scrap items ? The auction should have a duty to its customers to ensure they are not selling broken goods, if they are not prepared to do that then keep away, they'll soon get the message, having said that there's plenty of mugs out there so I doubt they really care.... Totally agree with Philip Veater.
I've bought two washing machines, two tumble driers, various exercise equipment and pictures from John Pye during the last 2-3 years without any problems. Everything continues to work well and was acquired at a substantial discount to the prevailing market price.
There are significant bargains to be had but equally well Caveat Emptor! John Pye are entirely clear on the need to view pre-auction. These days, far too many people seem to want to absolve themselves of any personal responsibility for their actions. If you simply cannot be bothered to do your homework before bidding then learn from the experience. Grow a pair and stop whinging!
Turning to the 'hammer' and VAT, just multiply your budget by 100/144 to calculate your maximum bid. It's not rocket science.... Read more

I'm quite new to buying at auctions but over the past few weeks have now purchased three items from John Pye (Nottingham). The transaction went smoothly and collection was a breeze. I've taken a chance on the condition of the items I've bought by not viewing in person but for the most part it has been so far so good.
The 20% buyers premium and 20% VAT is not a hidden charge and stated clearly on the website so even a newbie like me could work it out. Also I've only purchased small (under £20 ) items which didn't really require a viewing but if buying larger viewing is obviously recommended. I've seen some negative reviews from people believing they've been ripped off but come on guys, use some common sense.
When collecting the item I worked out for myself I needed to visit the sales office, even when having paid online, to collect my paperwork so that could have been made clearer on the website or invoice for newbies!
Also I did buy one item (a child's toy) that had obviously broken front wheels not visible in the photo. It would have been nice if the listing had 'broken' in there somewhere but again it was my choice not to view the item in person so 'you takes your chances' as they say - plus I managed to repair it :)... BRILLIANT 10 STAR IF I COULD After 12 years of buying
( BUYER WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ITS AN AUCTION NOT A SHOP)
Ive been going to JOHN PYE Since they open,ed at the old cattle market in nottingham just by the football ground. they have gone from strenght to strenght over the years, giving valued customers a choice of looking at the items ,trying the items befor you buy..
PURCHASING LOTS.
John Pye is and always has been the only auction that lets you Try any lots that you wish to purchase giving you plenty of time to make a rashional decision on what you see. Many customers see the items online and take it they are all working when most of them are but it is down to the bidder to make sure they try and view it properly.. you wouldnt buy a car without checking it first would you. Ime sure i was a valued customer when they had there day live auction twice a week when you paid a £100 deposit and attended in person. i bought a lot more then as i was able to spend 6 hours there WHY they dispenced of that i dont know. people i knew spent £10.000 at once .
ime sure they would atract more customers NOT THAT THEY NEED MORE.
JOHN PYE
John Pye is a friendly atmosphere always helping you make a good decision i realise anything i buy might be faulty but hey who cares , i always get a profit from what i buy KEEP GOING JOHN PYE with the service you have given for many years BUT PLEASE PLEASE bring back the live turn up auctions where i can spend more..and give a credit voucher for long standing customers.. If you're going to buy anything from here, then VIEW THE PRODUCT FIRST. Especially if you are going to buy a bigger item. If you're buying without seeing then don't complain if it's not right - that's the risk you take! I've purchased a few items from here including items without seeing them (only cheap stuff) and 70% have been good. 2 things have just not worked or been broken and 1 item of clothing still had security tag on it. On the whole though, if you box clever, there is a good chance you'll get a real bargain with 50% or even more off RRP. I have found Marchington are more honest and accurate with descriptions than other sites and are better to deal with. So, if you didn't catch it first time, VIEW THE PRODUCT FIRST and you should get some good bargains.... Read more

I bought a couple of branded clothes that were presented by the auction house as customers returns, excess stocks, seasonal clearance, etc. Most of the clothes came with brand new tags and labels in them. The truth is that all the clothes that I bought have been well used, they were terribly worn, many badly torn and some were even soiled. The issues with the clothes were not revealed and were not mentioned in the auction listing. I spent a couple of hundreds pounds buying what I thought were top branded clothes. I was wrong.
